Story
Meet Herman, this darling 12-year-old Dachshund-Beagle mix who proves that age is just a number and love only grows sweeter with time 💛 This handsome senior gentleman came to Satchel’s Last Resort Animal Shelter after being found as a stray by Manatee County Animal Welfare. While we don’t know much about his past, we do know this: he is absolutely full of love. He greets everyone he meets with a gentle, happy spirit and a wag that says, “I’m so glad you’re here.” He seems to get along well with other dogs and has shown all the signs that he would likely do just fine with a cat, too. He truly seems to enjoy companionship—both two-legged and four-legged. Like many distinguished seniors, he does have a few medical needs. He has chronic dry eye and will likely need eye medication twice daily to keep him comfortable. He also has a cherry eye that will be repaired soon, and he’ll be having a dental to make sure that charming smile stays healthy. None of this dampens his sweet disposition—he handles it all like a polite little gentleman. He’s a pleasant car rider and will happily join you on outings, though he can be a bit anxious during travel. With reassurance and a loving voice, he settles in and does just fine. Mostly, he’s simply happy to be with his person. This boy is looking for a soft place to land—a home where he can enjoy cozy naps, leisurely strolls, and the comfort of knowing he’s finally safe and loved. If you have room in your heart for a loyal, affectionate companion who will adore you completely, this sweet Dachshund-Beagle mix may be your perfect match. Senior dogs have so much love left to give. He’s ready to give all of his to you. 💕

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hello everyone my name is Ghee...My foster parents named me this because I was a chubby little pup.  I am now a full grown pup who will be 2 yrs old come July (my DOB 7/29/2023).  I am your still a puppy at heart with lots of energy and spunk.  I get along great with other dogs and it would be best if my family already had another dog for me to grow up with.  I am not sure about cats and just like to bark at them.  (They never answer me back)  I would do best in a home with mature kids at least 7+ years and older.  My foster family did a DNA test on me so my breeds are correct and I have some of the best traits from both of them.  I am  lively, energetic, and playful and enjoying interactive playtime.  My foster mom says I  love to cuddle and seek attention but can be independent and sometimes to smart for my own good. (I am still in my puppy phase)  I am housetrained with a doggie door and get fed in my crate because I don't know boundaries yet and just like to sample all my foster brother and sister's food. I am spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  I am also on flea and hw preventative. Ghee's adoption fee is $500 -  Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups To apply to foster or adopt please fill out application at www.heidislegacydogrescue.com/apply-to-foster-or-adopt Thank you for completing the application. Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Fuzzy🐶💚 I’m a 1-year-old Mini Pinscher mix with a gentle heart and a very handsome face—so I’m told! My foster says I turn heads everywhere I go, but it’s my sweet personality that really makes me special. I’m a shy and submissive boy who loves people and has a very soft, loving nature. Sometimes loud noises or new situations can make me a little nervous, but I’m learning every day that the world is a safe place. With patience and kindness, I continue to gain more confidence. I’m already leash trained, which means I enjoy going on walks and exploring with my people. I’m still working on building a consistent potty routine and learning some basic commands, but I’m trying my best and improving all the time. I get along well with small dogs and would really enjoy having a small dog sibling to help me feel comfortable. However, I’m not good with cats, so my forever home will need to be cat-free. My ideal home would be a calm but active household that can help me keep building confidence while also giving me love and reassurance. A home with a fenced yard would be wonderful, so I can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, I might be the perfect pup for you. Once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal little friend by your side. Love, Fuzzy 🐾💚 Adoption FEE: $250 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. TO ADOPT, APPLY ONLINE:  www.mercyfullprojects.org PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to supply all known information about each animal in their profile. If you have additional questions, you may send an inquiry email to adopt@mercyfullprojects.org to be answered at our earliest convenience. All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home. Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need. Our companions MUST live in your home as part of your family. We do not transport. Story
Max is a lover, a Velcro dog in all the best ways. I unfortunately now have to work 2 jobs and I am barely home at all. I live in an apartment and it's not fair to Max to be alone all day. He is pee pee pad trained and has an automatic feeder. I really hate to do this but it's not right having a dog and not being able to care for him.
