💙 Hi, I’m Kona 🐾💙
I’m a 2-year-old Dachshund/Hound mix with the sweetest heart and a gentle soul. I may be a little shy and nervous when I first meet someone or enter a new environment, but once I feel safe, loved, and comfortable, I become the most loyal little shadow you could ask for. Before you know it, I’ll be following you wherever you go!
I’m wonderful with both big and small dogs, as well as older and younger children. I’m submissive, laid-back, loving, and incredibly well behaved. I don’t need to be the center of attention or have something exciting happening all the time. I’m a calm, low-energy boy who is happiest simply being near my people.
I’m already crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and house trained! I’m very respectful in the home, and I don’t need constant activity to be happy. I actually think naps, couch cuddles, and relaxing are some of life’s greatest pleasures. I also love spending time outside on the balcony, feeling the fresh air and just taking in the world around me.
Once I trust you, I’m a total cuddle bug and couch potato. I love being close to my people and soaking up all the affection I can get. I’m not hyper or overly active, making me a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys a peaceful, loving dog. I may bark or whine a little while getting comfortable in my crate, but I’m learning quickly and settling into my routine.
I don’t know any commands or tricks yet, but I’m smart, eager to please, and ready to learn! With positive reinforcement, patience, and encouragement, I’m sure I’ll pick things up quickly. I could also use some help building my confidence, especially as I continue learning that new people and new places can be safe.
My ideal home would be with a loving, patient family who understands that shy dogs sometimes need a little extra time to come out of their shell. A home with a backyard would be wonderful, giving me a safe place to enjoy some fresh air and relax at my own pace. What I really need most is someone willing to give me time, kindness, and all the cuddles I deserve.

Adoption FEE: $300, which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.
Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
