Story
Hey, if you are looking for a happy and playful companion, look no more! Snoop Doggy is a young "chiweenie" with an emphasis on the doxie behavior and the chihuahua appearance. What a terrific combo! He likes to play and run, and he knows about using a doggy door to run into his fenced backyard. He is very loved but is higher on the action and energy scale than his owner can comfortably handle. Snoop Doggy will do great with a human that enjoys walks so he can go along, and he is fine with dogs his size. He would do best with an experienced adopter and obedience training would give the best results for this very smart guy with lots of energy. Focused activities and a routine is what he does best with. Snoop has run out an open door in the past, so a secure enclosure and being on a leash at all times outside of the enclosure is a must, He can be vocal, so a home without shared walls would be better. He is a little chubby at 14# but focused exercise and a portion-controlled diet will help get him to the right weight. Older kids would be great with the emphasis on training and structured play. Children and pets should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Snoop Doggy is neutered and microchipped, he is UTD on vaccines and heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $300.

Story
Paging Doctor Brown Bear to Snuggle Room 1! Hi, I’m Pooh Bear the Little Red Dog but my foster mom calls me Doctor Brown Bear because I have my PhD in Love and Cuddles! I originally came from a breeder. My mom is a Dachshund and my dad is a Chihuahua. I’m a true Chiweenie with the papers to prove it… but I don’t like to brag. I’m quiet and gentle. I don’t bark much, even when another dog in the pack gets everyone excited. My foster family has a 4 year old and I’m just the right size for him to pick me up and carry me around the house. If you can’t find me, I’m probably curled up completely under a blanket so watch where you sit! I have very good leash manners and enjoy walks and being outside running zoomies in the yard. When I’m called I run and jump right in your arms. At night, I love to snuggle in next to my People (under the blanket of course), or curl up with my brother, Tiggy, in our dog bed. I am crate trained and will easily go in when asked. My foster parents say I’m really smart and learn quickly. I am a good car rider and like to go on adventures like the trip Tiggy and I recently took to South Dakota. We went on long nature hikes and even stayed in an RV park where we met so many people and animals! Our foster parents said we were so well behaved and the people, dogs, and cats all loved us. I’m really looking forward to the future. My brother and I are handsome and healthy young men with so many more adventures to have and a million more cuddles to give. The ASPCA says we have most of our lives ahead of us and our foster mom says we’ve overcome the chewing and training issues puppies have. I guess you could say we are the perfect age for adoption! You may be wondering where we’ve been. No dog comes into a rescue with a happy story but ours isn’t as tragic as many. Our first People really loved us and they took great care of us. I was purchased from a pet store as a puppy. My People loved me so much that they contacted my breeder and tracked down my littermate, Tiggy. We drove for hours to another pet store to bring him home. Tiggy and I were so happy to be reunited after all those months, now we are inseparable. But over the last few years, a lot of people got really sick and our People got sick too. Unfortunately, our daddy passed away and our mommy was very sick and couldn’t take care of us the way we had been. She was heartbroken to give us up and we were heartbroken to leave our home. We have had a life full of ups and downs but most of our years have been happy. Our foster mom is surprised every day that we haven’t been adopted yet because we’ve had such a healthy life, have been so well behaved, and are extremely adorable. We have big ears, small heads; long bodies and short legs. And if our big round eyes and happy wagging tails don’t melt your heart, nothing will. If you’re interested in meeting me, check out my silly brother Tiggy! We started our lives together and have gone through our long journey side-by-side and paw-in-paw. We’re looking for a forever-family with enough love for both of us! If you have questions about us, fill out an adoption application. It won’t take long and Tiggy and I are totally worth the time! The Rescue Coordinator will forward your information to our foster parents and they will email you ASAP. They can answer all your questions and schedule a play date! Together, our adoption fee is $500 (ask about our payment plan, military and senior discounts!) The adoption process will take about 2 weeks from the time you submit the application until our Gotcha Day, which I’m told will be one of the very best days of our lives! Our foster family has had 3 Dachshund mixes and says we have been the best breed they’ve had by far and recommends that everyone GET A LOOOONG LITTLE DOGGIE!!!

The wonderful thing about Tiggys Is Tiggys are wonderful things! Tops are made out of rubber Their bottoms are made out of springs Their bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! But the most wonderful thing about Tiggys Is I'm the only one! Tiggys are cuddly fellows Tiggys are awfully sweet Everyone el-us is jealous That's why I repeat and repeat The wonderful thing about Tiggys Is Tiggys are marvelous chaps They're loaded with vim and vigor They love to leap in your laps! They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy Fun fun fun fun fun! But the most wonderful thing about Tiggys Is I'm the only one I’m the only one! Hi I’m the ONE and ONLY Tiggy! My foster dad calls me Tiggy-Smalls and my foster mom nicknamed me Sergeant Speckles because my fur is so beautiful and unique. I originally came from a breeder. My mom is a Dachshund and my dad is a Chihuahua. Choxie, German Taco, Mexican Hot Dog, WeenieHuahua, whatever you want to call me, I’m a true Chiweenie with the Papers to prove it!!! I am quirky and funny. I have a BIG personality and a great smile! When I’m happy—which is almost always--my whole body wags. The kids in my foster family hold me and snuggle in like I’m their most favorite stuffed animal. I have big spots and the most adorable speckly freckly fur! I love to explore the yard and take walks. I am perfect on a leash! I’m happy to snuggle in on your lap but I will romp around with puppy friends too. I don’t bark as much as other Doxies or Chihuahuas but I am an excellent doorbell---in case you don’t hear it. Belly rubs are the very best thing ever, but ear scratches are also the best! I really just love absolutely everything about my People and life! I don’t have all the energy of a 3 month old pup… I won’t demand 3 walks a day or chew all your shoes, but I do like to play and sniff around outside like every hound dog. I’ll curl up at the foot of your bed at night or snuggle in with my brother, Pooh Bear, in our doggie bed. You may catch us “grooming” each other. Our foster mom thinks this is the cutest thing but we’re just making sure our big floppy ears are clean and right side out. I am a good car rider and like to go on adventures like the trip Pooh and I recently took to South Dakota. We went on long nature hikes and even stayed in an RV park where we met so many people and animals! Our foster parents said we were so well behaved and the people, dogs, and cats all loved us. Story
Nikki is a loving and affectionate elderly gal who came to us with over sixty other dogs. She would do best in a home without other dogs since she has a bad habit of resource guarding food/toys/etc from her canine friends. She loves meeting new people, thinks rolling in the grass is the best and can take surprisingly long walks for her age. She does have Cushings Disease which is treated with medication. Her foster mom says she's a gem and can't wait for you to meet her. Nikki's adoption fee is waived.

He does get along with other dogs, but we haven't seen him around cats as yet. He loves bathes and absolutely Adores tennis balls. He'll sit in front of you and drop the ball over and over again. He's a friendly guy. He is fun and playful.
