Cleo will need to be the only dog in your home. She will need to be given time to adapt to her new surroundings and guided with a gentle, loving hand. She is a sweet girl that has had a rough start. UPDATE: Cleo is making great strides in her socialization. She is wagging her tail more and is allowing people to pet her. She is much more relaxed when people come up to her run! For more information please call the shelter at 513-753-9252.

Story
Pearl Pearl is my name and I am one of 9 puppies born to a small, dachshund/chihuahua mix mom. Unfortunately, she was really skinny except for that big belly that was full of puppies and she couldn’t feed all of us when we were born. So I came to my foster mom to get bottle fed along with 2 of my siblings. That worked out really well, but since I was a fussy fart, I refused formula and made my bottle baby mom buy goat’s milk for me to drink. It just tasted better and I loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I told my sibbers about it and they only drank goat’s milk too!! Mmmmm!! Anyhow, now I am not so fussy but I do like my small bits puppy food so maybe I am still a little fussy so you may want to consider how you are going to spoil me when you adopt me. I will stay small as mom was only 17 pounds full of puppies so I am not sure how much she weighs now, but take away 9 puppies ... .what does that make? I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you? Anyhow, I won’t last long as I am adorable, if I do say so myself! Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600

Caramel Do I look like a Star? Actually I have one on my forehead if you can see it through all of the fluffy that I have all over my body. Then if you adopt me, you will have a star!! I am one of 9 puppies born to a Dachshund Chihuahua mom and went to a bottle feeder along with 2 of my siblings to be bottle fed. Mom was super skinny and 9 puppies were just too much for her to handle by herself. My sister Pearl was fussy and got the bottle feeder to give us Goat’s milk instead of formula. We loved it! Foster mom thinks that dad may have had some Maltese in him as I am super fluffy and a couple of my siblings that stayed with mom are too. It makes us all very adorable. I will probably be about 20 pounds when I am fully grown as I am 5 pounds at the end of the 2025 I have my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home after the contest is over. Wish me luck! Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600

Story
Meet Margaret! This sweet 7-year-old Beagle mix is ready to be your constant companion and show you her endless love! At 25 lbs she is a small dog with an adorable personality. She enjoys going for walks and once that is said and done she wants nothing more than to lay next to you and get belly rubs. Having raised her puppies in foster care, she is now ready to find her own forever home! Margaret is both house trained and crate trained! She happily goes in her crate fro a treat. She is very food motivated and already knows how to sit. She loves to chew on bones, play with stuffed toys, and is happy to taste any fun treat she can get her paws on! Margaret is fostered with other dogs and does very well with them. She is beginning to engage in play with those that are willing and is very respectful of dogs that prefer to be independent. She will gladly cuddle up with her dog friends when play time is over. She loves all people and will happily follow her humans around wherever they go! Her favorite activity is being around her people and getting belly rubs! If you've been looking for a sweet soul to share your time with then Margaret is the one for you! Apply today! Margaret is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
TEDDY is a purebred dachshund registered with CKC. He has lived his life as a breeder dog where he was not allowed the usual occurrences of being a “ special someone” in his own private home. Things are about to change for Teddy and for the better in every instance. When he is neutered male dominance will subside. Having only known his main importance was being the breeder for many years, he will begin to adjust to relaxing days with his family, naps on winter days and dreams of chasing birds come spring...Teddy is also shy at heart . If he is startled occasionally he would nip ...His new family will always understand they should approach and speak to him to avoid surprising him. Teddy would love to be chosen for himself and not have to compete with other dogs for attention...Actually, he’s had enough of all the dogs he’s had to contend with in his life, and it's no wonder he’s ready to retire..Dachshunds at his age, which is human age 48, are middle-aged. He knows what he wants and when he wants it, like all men. Teddy is pad-trained , which is a great asset with cold weather coming on. He has been allowed freedom to run free in the house when the family is home, but left in one gated room when the family is Show more How To Adopt TEDDY PIEBAL... was listed as Adoptable by Kentucky Dachshund Rescue How can I adopt TEDDY PIEBAL...? Bandit is a mini tricolor smooth coat dachshund with ticking. He came to the rescue with five other mini dachshunds after his elderly owner died. A fully fenced yard is required to be considered for adoption (no underground fencing).
