Story
Greta is a 6-year-old, 16-pound dachshund with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. Having spent the majority of her life as a breeder in an Amish puppy mill, Greta is now enjoying the comforts of a home environment, where she is learning what it means to be a cherished companion. Despite her difficult past, she has a naturally sweet disposition and loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa or a cozy chair next to her favorite person. Though she is not a fan of her crate, Greta keeps it clean and shows great progress in her potty training by going outside on a regular schedule. She is not particularly fond of walking on a leash, but her easy-going and low-key nature makes her an ideal match for someone looking for a calm and affectionate companion. Greta's journey is one of resilience, and she's now ready to spend her days in peace and comfort, offering unconditional love to the person lucky enough to welcome her into their life. Greta is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello there, I'm Marcel, the smartest, funniest dog you'll ever meet. My previous owner had a stroke, and in all the confusion, I ended up at the shelter. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but it's no five-star hotel either. Once, I tried to make a break for it, using my superior intellect to pick the lock with a chewed up bone. It was going perfectly until I realized I was 'escaping' into the vet's office! Talk about a plot twist! I ended up with a lampshade on  my head and some missing family jewels.  Despite my hilarious mishaps, I'm a real sweetheart who loves to play and explore. When I first meet you I can be a little cautious, but once I know you I'm energetic and friendly, and I promise to keep you laughing. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a sense of humor, then I'm your guy! To adopt this dog, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org.  He was born around 01/11/2023 and weighs 22.5 pounds.  His adoption fee is $300.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Buu Buu is a 1-year-old, small mixed breed who is sweet as can be. He weighs approximately 25 pounds. Buu Buu didn’t get a real great start to life. He was rescued with his sister Molly from a very inhabitable environment and has been so scared but is starting to open up to being free. He is so sweet. He just follows you around like a little shadow. He loves to cuddle and be a part of whatever is going on. He’s good on a leash, good with other dogs (no cats) and is working on crate and potty training. He just wants his forever lap to lay in. Does yours have room? Apply at pawsomeanimalwelfare.com Adoption fee includes all up-to-date vaccines, neuter and microchip.

Story
Frosty, aka Frisch's Big Boy, loves to run with his canine friends and also likes to wind down with a chew toy.  He is a loveable pup looking for a new family to snuggle with.  Frosty's mom, Millie, was surrendered to us after being found running loose and the owners didn't want her back.  She ended up being pregnant and had 5 puppies!  Frosty was by far the biggest one!  His mother is a chihuahua/dachsund mix; however we don't know his father's breed.  Frosty is crate trained and housetrained.  He is good in his crate for short periods of time, but he is an energetic boy who doesn't handle being cooped up for too long.  He tends to bark a bit so will likely not be great in an apartment setting.  He was adopted out, but due to his strong personality with other dogs he was too much for his elderly canine housemate to handle.  Frosty goes to doggy daycare regularly and does great running with the big dogs!  Now he needs to find a forever home that is a good match for his playful personality.   ##1860239##
