Story
Meet Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a one-of-a-kind little guy who is part Dachshund, part Chihuahua part Pittie, part mystery, and 100% lovable! With his long body and short little legs, he’s basically a hot dog with a Pittie smile. 😂❤️ Oscar is super affectionate, playful, and cuddly. At just barely a year old he has plenty of energy and loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with his favorite person. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and sleeps like a champ in his crate. 💤 He’s mostly potty trained and is learning more every day. He’s also apparently pursuing a career in interior design—he loves rearranging the dog beds and toys to create what he believes is the perfect layout. 😂 Oscar does have a mischievous side. He LOVES food and may occasionally jump on tables or go looking for snacks. In fact, this little genius has figured out how to open Tupperware! We believe some of this comes from his history of food insecurity, so he’s still learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. ❤️ Oscar is sweet, silly, energetic, affectionate, and just the right amount of naughty. He’s looking for a family who will give him patience, structure, cuddles, playtime, and most importantly, the chance to finally feel safe and loved. Oscar may rearrange your furniture, steal your heart, and possibly figure out your Tupperware… but we promise he’s worth it. 🐶❤️ Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rock, a sweet and gentle boy who’s so ready for a second chance at life. Rock came to us from a partnered shelter where he was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space—but thankfully, he got the chance he deserved. Born around June 13, 2025, Rock is a terrier/dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a soft, submissive personality. He’s a friendly, easygoing pup who gets along with everyone he meets, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Rock would truly love a family of his own where he can feel safe and loved. He LOEVS his toy time with friends in the play yard. Rock did test positive for anaplasmosis (a tick-borne infection) and has finished undergoing treatment with doxycycline. This is a common and treatable condition, and he’s expected to do well with proper care. For more information, you can read here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=6191808 He is neutered, 4dx tested, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and current on proheart 12 and bravecto. So he’s all set to start his new journey. His adoption fee is $300. Check out his video below! To apply, please visit www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application. Rock is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and locations along the East Coast. If transport is needed, an additional fee of $250 will apply. Please note that we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2026, 4:17 pm

Story
🐾 Meet Keys — the little guy who thinks he’s in charge of EVERYTHING! 🐾 Keys is a 9–10-month-old mixed-breed pup weighing around 25–30 pounds. While we can’t say for sure what his recipe is, we suspect he may have some Dachshund, Rat Terrier, or Miniature Pinscher in the mix. Whatever he is, he’s 100% FUN! ❤️ This boy wants to investigate EVERYTHING—nothing escapes his attention! He absolutely loves farm life and thinks every animal on the property needs to know his business. He’s curious, confident, fearless, and definitely not afraid to get right in the middle of the action! Because of his interest in chickens, Keys is not a good fit for a home with chickens and should not be around them unsupervised. When he isn’t busy supervising the farm, Keys loves to SWIM! Keys is great with kids and other dogs and has done wonderfully with crate training. He has lots of energy, so he would love having another young, playful dog to keep up with—or an active human who wants a fun-loving companion to keep life interesting. If you’re looking for a dog who is fearless, curious, playful, adventurous, and always ready to see what’s happening next… Keys has entered the chat! Keys is ready for his forever home! Keys is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please sign up for your first month of pet insurance on us! If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
🐾 Meet Jolene — A Tiny Girl with a Whole Lot of Sass! 🐾Jolene is a 6-month-old sweetheart from our special Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers litter, and this petite girl may be the tiniest, but she certainly doesn't act like it! She's a sassy little firecracker with a sweet side that makes her completely irresistible.Jolene is the smallest of the litter at just under 9 pounds, and she's expected to stay wonderfully petite. She may be tiny, but this girl has a fierce little personality and plenty of confidence packed into her small frame. She's the perfect size for someone looking for a little companion who can go just about anywhere.Jolene is also the oddball of her siblings in the cutest way. While the rest of the litter has a different look and more scruffy coats, Jolene is the only smooth-coated girl and looks more like a little Dachshund. Her unique appearance makes her stand out, but it's her personality that will really steal your heart.Jolene came into our care as an owner surrender and is now ready for a forever family who will appreciate her big personality, tiny size, and sweet heart. She's ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with someone who will adore her. This special litter was named as a tribute to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, two country music legends whose friendship and music touched generations. We especially love honoring Dolly because she has always been a true animal lover and advocate, making her the perfect inspiration for these little rescue pups. ❤️🐾Jolene may be small, but she's got enough personality for a whole room—and she's ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and just a little bit of sass!📍 Located in Texas – can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $300.📝 Apply to adopt Jolene:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Popcorn is two and a half months old, approximately three inches off the ground and currently having the absolute time of her life. This happy little scruff is possibly a Dachshund Chihuahua mix, with a long little body, tiny legs and just enough scruffy fur to make her ridiculously cute. She bounces through life with the cheerful confidence of a puppy who has already figured out that the world is full of toys, people and very good things. Go watch Popcorn on YouTube and see this adorable little girl bouncing, playing and soaking up every bit of puppyhood! https://youtu.be/vvBVG5IIpfk Popcorn is fostered in a loving home with other dogs and cats, giving her lots of opportunities to grow into a wonderfully well-rounded little pup. She also met our house cat and was sweet and respectful with him. Mostly, Popcorn seems delighted to make friends wherever she goes. And then she discovered children. Popcorn met a five- and eight-year-old and was in absolute heaven. Kids, toys, playtime and affection all at once? She could hardly have designed a better afternoon herself. She happily soaked up their attention, joined in the fun and showed off exactly what makes her such an easy little puppy to love. Popcorn is still a young puppy who will need all the usual patience, training and guidance as she grows, but she already has such a happy, playful and well-balanced personality. She loves affection just as much as she loves bouncing off to find her next toy, and she brings a whole lot of joy in one very tiny, slightly scruffy package. Apply today, and please reach out to Popcorn’s adoption coordinator with any questions!
