Story
Emerald Jade, a Dachshund mix puppy at 5 months old is a young gal at around 13 pounds. She is estimated to be a medium-size dog of somewhere under 60 pounds when fully grown. She is so cute, with a black rough coat. She has been in foster care and has done well. Still shy when she first meets someone new, but after a bit she gets comfortable.Dachshund mixes are known for being spunky, bold, and playful. Smart and curious is a common trait. They are affectionate and loyal often forming strong bonds with owners. They love social interaction. They also can be vocal and on the alert. As a mix, Emerald Jade probably has several of these traits. She is comfortable around other dogs and kids. Emerald Jade is currently working on her house, crate and leash training. She, like most pups will be a quick learner once routines are established. Daily short walks (under thirty minutes) will be a good opportunity to work on leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. Please note: She may not be a running companion until after age one when her growth plate closes.Emerald Jade would probably appreciate free time in the back yard to burn off energy. Keeping her mind active with activities that provide physical and mental stimulation will prevent boredom. Get ready for lots of attention directed at Emerald Jade because this girl knows how to get noticed and the focus on her. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. Story
Meet Austin, an adorable 5-month-old Dachshund/Australian Shepherd mix who is ready to trade his uncertain start for a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily-ever-after. Weighing just 8 pounds, Austin may be small in size, but he has a heart that is absolutely overflowing with affection! With his medium-length tricolor coat, expressive eyes, and those irresistibly cute jellybean-shaped eyebrows, this little guy has a face that is impossible to resist. He will gain a few more pounds as he grows, but he is already shaping up to be the perfect size for cozy cuddle sessions, neighborhood strolls, and all sorts of fun adventures with his very own family. We may never know much about his past, but we do know that he is ready to put those days behind him and discover just how wonderful life can be when you have a family to call your own. He is a friendly, easygoing boy who enjoys the company of both children and other dogs, although his history with cats is unknown. With his medium energy level, Austin would love a family who will include him in their daily lives. Whether that means going for walks, visiting the park, exploring the great outdoors, or simply playing together in the yard. He is happiest when he has something fun to do and someone special to share it with. He is still learning the finer points of being a well-mannered pup, including leash walking, house training, and crate training, so his new family will need to give him a little time, patience, and encouragement as he continues to learn. Austin is eager to please, though, and with gentle guidance, consistency, and plenty of praise, he is sure to make wonderful progress. And when his adventures are over for the day, Austin is more than happy to switch from explorer mode to professional snuggler! There is nothing he would love more than curling up in his cozy bed or settling beside his favorite people on the couch. He is looking for a family who will give him the security he has been missing, cheer him on as he learns and grows, and love him not just for the adorable puppy he is today, but for every wonderful day ahead.Austin has so much love to give and an entire lifetime of happy memories just waiting to be made. If you have room in your heart for a little dog with a big personality, an irresistible face, and a tail ready to wag his way into your life, Austin may be the perfect boy for you. Could you be the forever family this sweet little guy has been waiting for?* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey-a! I’m Mario. I may be a little guy, but I’ve got a big heart, lots of love to give, and I’m very ready for my happily ever after. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance. I’m a super friendly boy who loves meeting people. New friends? Amazing. Familiar faces? Even better! I’m always happy to see you and usually come with a wagging tail and cheerful little smile. I really just enjoy being part of the fun and close to my people. I also get along with other dogs and currently share my kennel area with 3 other dogs. I do especially well with female dogs, though, because I can sometimes get a little bossy with other boys. What can I say? I like to think I’m in charge sometimes. But overall, I’m still a very good boy and do just fine with proper introductions and respectful dog friends. I’m not sure how I do with cats or young kids yet, but I’ve shown everyone here what a sweet, happy companion I can be. I’m neutered, 4dx negative, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. I'm also current on proheart 12 and bravecto, so I’m all set and ready to start my next adventure with a family of my own. All I need now is someone to love me forever. Adoption fee: $300 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Mario is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 28, 2026, 4:20 pm

Story
Meet Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a one-of-a-kind little guy who is part Chihuahua, part Pittie, part mystery, and 100% lovable! With his long body and short little legs, he’s basically a hot dog with a Pittie smile. 😂❤️ Oscar is super affectionate, playful, and cuddly. At just barely a year old he has plenty of energy and loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with his favorite person. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and sleeps like a champ in his crate. 💤 He’s mostly potty trained and is learning more every day. He’s also apparently pursuing a career in interior design—he loves rearranging the dog beds and toys to create what he believes is the perfect layout. 😂 Oscar does have a mischievous side. He LOVES food and may occasionally jump on tables or go looking for snacks. In fact, this little genius has figured out how to open Tupperware! We believe some of this comes from his history of food insecurity, so he’s still learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. ❤️ Oscar is sweet, silly, energetic, affectionate, and just the right amount of naughty. He’s looking for a family who will give him patience, structure, cuddles, playtime, and most importantly, the chance to finally feel safe and loved. Oscar may rearrange your furniture, steal your heart, and possibly figure out your Tupperware… but we promise he’s worth it. 🐶❤️ Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rock, a sweet and gentle boy who’s so ready for a second chance at life. Rock came to us from a partnered shelter where he was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space—but thankfully, he got the chance he deserved. Born around June 13, 2025, Rock is a terrier/dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a soft, submissive personality. He’s a friendly, easygoing pup who gets along with everyone he meets, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Rock would truly love a family of his own where he can feel safe and loved. He LOEVS his toy time with friends in the play yard. Rock did test positive for anaplasmosis (a tick-borne infection) and has finished undergoing treatment with doxycycline. This is a common and treatable condition, and he’s expected to do well with proper care. For more information, you can read here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=6191808 He is neutered, 4dx tested, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and current on proheart 12 and bravecto.
