Story
Buddy is a 4 months old puppy, who was found in a park during the storm. When his finder could not locate his home and no one claimed him from all her posts, she surrendered him to the rescue Buddy is extremely affectionate and a complete sweetheart. He can entertain himself alone, but also loves playing with his foster sibling, he loves going for rides in the car, and sometimes just curling up on the couch for movie night. Buddy gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is truly a great companion who just wants to be loved and be your shadow. Buddy is only 4 months old, therefore he still has puppy energy and needs someone who can follow no paws on grounds if needed. He is not fully housebroken as he is using puppy pads until he gets all his shots. He is on flea and heartworm preventatives, and is current on his shots, neutered and chipped. Buddy is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or in person, please send an application available at www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be fully fenced to adopt our pups.

Ranger just joined our program and while we are not sure what breed he actually is, we have been told Dachshund Lab mix...Corgi Lab mix or possibly Corgi German Shepherd mix. The truth is, we just don't know. What we do know is that he is so stinking adorable and was on his way to the shelter and we could not let that happen so....here he is! Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Collin - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Collin and if you're in search of a handsome lil fella that will smooze you with my loveable qualities, well, shoot...look no further. I was heartworm positive but have had my treatments so I'm now ready for that pawsome family life I've been told is sooooo fantastic! I am right around 4 years old and very sweet and I loves to cuddle. I do fantastic with people and other dogs once I get to know them. I also do fine with older kids that are dog savvy. I am still on the fence with cats. I could do fine living with a dog savvy cat but my ideal home would be one that doesn't have any. I would make a great addition for just about any family that is looking for a sweetie to add joy to their life. I will need to have continued house training. It seems I may have spent the majority of my life outside so I'm still working on my house training but I'm doing pretty good with only an occasional accident. I think I'm really starting to enjoy this comfy inside living as you can find me curled up on a soft bed or blanket most of the time! I come in at around 17lb which is 'the' perfect size for giving you all my love and cuddles. And it's also the perfect size for, yep...everything! From neighborhood strolls to some mild nature trails, from cuddles on the couch to sweetness at your feet, I'm here to share it all with you! My short coat is going to easy peasy in the grooming department and that means lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. Oh my, what could be better?!! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys and sorrows? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that fella!!!

Story
Introducing Shadowfax! He is a senior boy, but you would never know it from the energy he has to play with all his doggie friends. He plays hard and cuddles hard and loves all humans and doggies. He is curious about cats but doesn’t chase. He stays well in crate while his foster is at work, but sleeps in bed at night. He has the doggie door mastered and uses it regularly. He would make a great single dog but would be great in a pack. Shadowfax is about 11 years old and weighs 18 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 24, 2024, 3:41 pm

Story
Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

It is not known whether he enjoys the company of cats.Marcus is working on his house and crate training but is already proficient with his leash walking skills. Story
Welcome Ginger to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3-year old Dachshund/Beagle. She is good with other dogs. She has been in off-leash play groups with dogs bigger than she is and she does great. She is a hound and will scent off. She needs a fenced yard and not underground type fencing. She was playing games today when we were trying to leash her but she is a foodie and will work for treats. She has a nice sturdy long body. This will allow her to be a good walking companion. She would be best in a Ranch style home with fewer stairs. The longer body dogs do best if they don’t have to climb lots of stairs and keep their weight in check. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and is ready for her forever home. She is crated at the Rescue and she does fine in a crate. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would like someone familiar with the Doxie breed as we can see the Doxie personality in this little girl. Doxie’s bond deeply and usually pick one person in the family to be their person. We would expect her to do this in her new home as well. A smaller yard would be fine for this girl and only a moderately active family would be fine. She won’t need tons of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washingto, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Toni (f) and Bennett (m) a lovely 9-month-old dachshund mix pair, 30-40# respectively, are not only incredibly sweet but also extraordinarily adaptable. They easily befriend dogs of all ages, whether big or small, and their gentle disposition ensures they’re a hit with everyone they meet. These two resilient souls were found in less than ideal circumstances. Today, they are looking forward to a bright future in a loving forever home! If you’re seeking a compassionate and adaptable duo to join your family, Toni and Bennett are the perfect match. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.
