Story
Leonard (chiweenie) has been our little buddy for over 6 years now. He won us over at first sight as the tiny little weenie dog dancing around at our local shelter. He's been by our side (or in our arms) through everything since. He's extremely loyal to his family and will have your back through the toughest times. We joke that he's a little security officer - always letting us know when he senses danger. He's suspicious of strangers at first (for our safety of course) but quickly warms up to them and will be in their lap getting loved on within 15 minutes. He wants nothing more than to lay on your lap or burrow under the blankets with you and cuddle (he's not a high-energy dog). We are heartbroken to need to rehome him but know that we're doing what's best for him as he has not adjusted well to our infant daughter. He would thrive in a home without small children that can give him the attention and environment that he needs.

Story
Hello. I am Diana and this is my BFF Ursa. We like giving you lots of kisses. We dislike loud music and rowdy parties - we`d rather throw a chill tea party. We want to climb in your lap and snuggle on rainy days. We need a family that will love us both forever and ever! I am full grown at ~12 lbs. and Ursa is full grown at ~31 lbs. How did we get here? Transferred from Wake County Animal Center where we were brought when our owners were moving and couldn`t take us with them. *We are bonded so we get to go home together!**~Our adoption fee is $95.00.~

Story
Jack is a 15 year old dachshund. When combining households, Jack is having a hard time with the younger pups energy levels. I’d love to find Jack a home as he ages that can be relaxing and he feels love.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.DOB: 8/1/2019 My foster mom says I have a small dog personality in a medium sized body. I have been to a trainer and would do best in a home with previous dog experience and lots of patience. I am loyal and sweet to my foster mom but take my role of protector seriously.  I like to go for walks, am housebroken and love hanging out on the couch and watching TV.  I would do best in a home without kids - they are scary! I can't wait to meet you at an upcoming adoption event!  (MB*)    I am spayed, up to date on my vaccines, heart-worm negative and on preventative, and am microchipped.  Adoption fee: $100 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 25, 2023, 9:00 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello, I'm Waylon! I'm about 4 years old, but thats nothing in little dog years. Pawfect rescued me from a person that had way too many of us. Because of that, I am a little shy. I have come a long ways. I love my foster mommy and cuddle with her sometimes. I also let other people pet me and am okay with strangers in the house.  I love my foster sisters (bully breeds)! My foster brother is a little annoying but he is just SOOO big (great dane puppy) and has A LOT of energy. My favorite type of dogs are the calmer ones. Those puppies just have too much energy! I love to lay in my 'safe place'. Thats my crate that foster mommy always leaves open for me. When I feel safe I come out and when I need a little alone time I go in. My favorite activity to do is EAT! I love eating. Mommy gives me lots of snuffle mats and I love them! I love to sunbathe outside and run around the yard, because of that a fenced in yard is a must.  I would do best with no kids. I'm still a little scared and kids are just so crazy sometimes. I am still learning how to be a loving dog. I am improving every day. Mommy still can't pick me up or walk me on a leash. Mommy says I am getting better each day and I'm ready to go to my forever home. Are you my pawfect match?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 25, 2023, 8:39 am
