Story
Gypsy is a 10(11 in April) year old Dachshund mix who still loves to play! She's about 20 lbs, fully vetted and potty trained. She needs a fenced yard or a leash because she still has a dachshund's prey drive I would love to see Gypsy go to a family because she is great with kids(not only great with them, but she loves them and is extra happy around them), and good with other dogs. Gypsy is also happy to sleep and cuddle all day, she usually sleeps in the bed with her human at night. Shes a very affectionate and sweet dog. unknown behavior with cats Located in Hartland, Wi 53029 Contact Vicki Lorenz via text if questions 2624969324, if interested in adopting: www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org, adoption fee of $350 required.

Dogs Name: Herman Breed: Doxie Mix Age: 9 Weeks Weight: 7 Lbs Vetting Done: First round of puppy shots. Working on potty training and doing really well for his age! He will be trained in no time with consistency and frequent outside breaks. He is not great on a leash and does not like to walk with his harness on. He is working hard on this with his foster family! Sleeps in his pen and in his crate. He stays in his pen during the day so would love to work up to sleeping in the big bed eventually. He promises he doesn't take up alot of space! Lives with a 2 year old dachshund and a cat. He does great with both of them. Story
Tot Great things come in little packages! Half the size of his brother “Tater “-Tot is little in size but has a HUGE SWEETNESS! Look at those gorgeous blue/green eyes! His coloring is striking-so white/blonde ombre. Tot is a 9 week old Doxie mix that resembles more Doxie (very short legs, long body) than his brother “Tater”- Tot has a short coat that is not shedding as of now. He has a wonderful temperament, sleeps through the night, and goes potty on the pee pads. He spends his day playing with his brother and napping. His favorite thing is cuddling on your chest for a nap. Tot is more docile than his brother- though he will guard his food bowl or favorite toy. Tot will need a less active home- willing to give him regular cuddles and love. He is bonded with his brother- I do prefer them to go together but will separate for the right home. He will be fully vetted. Price includes UTD shots, neutered, microchipping. Tot is being fostered with Abby twinmamaof7@gmail.com in Kenosha, WI. Adoption fee of $650 required.

Story
Tater If you are looking for a playful, spunky, sweet puppy look no further! Tater is a 9 week old Doxie mix boy that is full of energy and love! He already sleeps through the night and does very well with only going potty on the pee pads. His favorite things are belly rubs (he rolls on his back to ask for one), wrestling with his brother “Tot”, and eating! His favorite time is meal time and never has leftovers. (he will need a slow-feed bowl) He has a wonderful temperament- great with other dogs and children. Tater will need a home willing to give him a bit of one on one playtime. He is bonded with his brother “Tot”-but will consider separating for the right home. He has a &u'er coat than his brother, but not shedding as of now. Price includes full vetting, UTD shots, neutering, and micro chipping. Tot is being fostered with Abby twinmamaof7@gmail.com in Kenosha, WI Adoption fee of $650 required

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
About Me: Name: David Breed (or best guess): Dachshund type mix Approximate Age: 2 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight:  20 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: very patient adopter, fenced yard, no young children Why In Rescue:  Texas transfer Profile:  David came to us from Texas with a couple of friends.  His friends have been adopted, and we are working on trying to get David more comfortable with people to make him easier to adopt.  He is very careful with who he loves and trusts, and he bonds hard with those he loves.  But if you aren't in his circle of friends, he is very suspicious of you.  It is going to take time for him to bond with someone new, but our goal is to find him a home, not to have him live in the shelter forever.  If you are willing to love and care for a dog who probably isn't going to love you at first sight, then David may just be the guy for you.  He seems to like female dogs, male dogs not so much.  A fenced yard is for his safety as walking on a leash with a new person will be too much for him right away, although he will go for walks with the people he trusts.  Are you the one that is going to give David a chance?  Please fill out the preadoption application and we can set up a time for you to meet him. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS March 23, 2024, 4:14 pm

Story
Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 3/12/2024 Dog Name: Wilson Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Dachshund or Corgis Mix, leaning more towards Dachshund Approximate Age: 6 Weeks old Approximate Weight: 2 lbs. Description: These cute chunky puppies have the most innocent personalities- and they are still developing their own personalities. They are professional puppies who love to eat, sleep and play. They loved to be held and cuddled! This little family is so precious! Adoption Fee: $550.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 26, 2024, 8:04 pm
