Story
Meet Miley! Miley is a sweet and adorable 4-year-old Dachshund mix with a gentle heart and a loving personality. She absolutely adores people and gets along well with other dogs. She’s still learning what it means to be part of a fully loving family, so she’ll do best with patient humans who are willing to help her build confidence and show her how good life can be. Miley does wonderfully in a crate — she’s quiet and sleeps comfortably as long as her people are nearby. When left alone, she may bark a bit, but she’s making progress as she settles in. She’s also working on potty training and truly trying her best. She’s gentle with both people and dogs, but don’t be fooled — Miley loves to have fun! She enjoys walks and does great on leash. She does have a prey drive, so a home without cats (or with very cat-savvy owners) would be best. Miley is a loving, playful girl who just needs the right family to help her continue to blossom. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, she’s sure to thrive. Meet Cholula 🌶️All the flavor. None of the burn.Cholula is the kind of dog who makes you feel instantly loved. She doesn’t just hang out with her people — she commits. Hugs are welcome, lap naps are encouraged, and sleeping pressed up next to you is her preferred arrangement. At just 10 months old, this sweet Dachshund mix has already figured out the good stuff: playing with other dogs, running around the yard, curling up for naps, and being right where her people are. She’s affectionate without being overwhelming, playful without being chaotic, and has the happiest little personality. She’s been doing great with potty training, walks comfortably on leash, rides nicely in the car, and kennels quietly when needed. Cholula is eager to please, polite around food, and truly just wants to be part of a family.Spicy name aside, she’s pure love.Adoption Details:• Approx. 10 months old | ~15 lbs | Dachshund mix• Adoption fee: $500• Located in Kenosha, WI• She will be spayed prior to adoptionApply to adopt at www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550

Antoine is the tiniest little Parisian in the Emily in Paris litter — but don’t let his size fool you. This boy has main-character energy. 🇫🇷✨Born to a sweet Chi-mix mama (Sapphire) and a mystery papa with undeniable Parisian flair, Antoine is playful, curious, and full of charm — basically the puppy version of a Paris plot twist. He’s the smallest of the bunch but the boldest at play, the first to explore, and the last to leave cuddle mode. Think Paris charm, puppy edition. 🥐Born 12/4 • Chi mix mama • Mystery papa ✨Adoption fee: $500 + $150 spay/neuter deposit📍 Located in WisconsinApply to adopt: biggiepawsrescue.org“Tiny pup, très grande personality.” 🇫🇷🐾#BiggiePawsRescue #EmilyInParisPups #AdoptDontShop #ParisPuppy #RescuePuppy #WisconsinDogs #PuppyLoveDATCP # 494550

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!***   Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on MARCH 13th and arrive on MARCH 14th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 2/19/2026 Dog Name: Duckie Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Dachshund/ Long Hair Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 17 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Duckie was an urgent medical case in Texas. Our rescue partners were contacted and knew right away he needed medical attention. This poor boy had a wire wrapped around his toes for a week!! He was rushed to the animal hospital where he had to have 2 toes amputated to save his foot from infection. But this hasn’t slowed down our sweet Duckie! He is happy and learning to be in a home where he is safe and loved! He does not miss his toes on his back foot, the vet said he will do just fine without them:) Duckie is great with other dogs, kids, and cats! Plus, he is already housetrained! He is a sweet boy who will gaze into your eyes and cuddle all day on the couch with you! Adoption Fee: $650We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. February 23, 2026, 11:41 pm

Story
Vienna is fostered in Lansing, IL.   Meet Vienna.  She is a black and tan, 8 lb, Mini Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher mix who is full of life and loves cuddling with all humans and other dogs. She is playful, smart, loyal, goofy, and independent. Her foster dad calls her his little lemur; she loves to leap and play and has some serious distance! Her forever home should be ready for everyone to stop you on walks to admire how adorable she is! Her date of birth is 8/29/2025. She is super snuggly and very affectionate once she gets a few minutes to get to know you. Then, she is as loyal, gentle and snuggly as they come. She enjoys time on her human's lap (especially warm ones), being carried around, and sunbathing. At night I want to be under your comforter snuggled into you. Vienna is still learning how to alert/inform her humans how she needs to go outside to potty, and making good progress. Her foster dad says she just needs to keep working at it in her forever home.  A schedule for potty training needs to be continued for success.  What Vienna says about her life before coming to rescue: "I lived with a really big Doberman, as well as a German Shepherd and a cat along with 2 children under 10 years of age. I had lots of fun there, and would love to live with small humans or furry (or feathered) friends again. Now I’m living with my foster Dad and his female Australian Shepherd. When Dad leaves, he allows us both to have the run of the house, though we typically just lounge around and nap. My foster Dad has taught me that being inside a crate isn’t all that bad. I’ll eat my meals in my crate and will occasionally stay in one for a few hours to continue to learn to like it. I’m also good with nail trims. When I get introduced to new people or dogs, I like to just have a moment. I’m shy at first and need to feel things out for a few minutes. Once I feel safe, it’s game on for lots of fun!  I really enjoy car rides, especially if I get to be next to or on someone warm. I enjoy sitting in a cart at stores and welcome meeting people if they move slow around me. Don’t let my size fool you, as my foster dad calls me his little Sprite. I kinda agree with him here. :) I’d prefer a home with lots of love from my humans, fun dogs to play with (cats are fine too) and share beds and bones with.  Vienna is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed and is taking monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org   ##2639030##

Story
Meet Lilly! Nickname: Princess Lilly Breed: Dachshund Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 15 pounds Background: Lilly was surrendered with another dog and some kitty friends after their elderly owner went into assisted living. Foster home: Fox Point, WI Activity level: Low Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and respectful children. She is chill like that! Meals: Lilly eats 2x/day; a dollop of wet food with any meds tucked in, topped with about 1/3c of sensitive stomach kibble for small breeds Sleep style: Until her IVDD diagnosis, Lilly loved sleeping in the big bed with humans and other dogs, and easily used a long ramp to go up/down as she wished. She’s not big on being under the covers; she overheats. She will also sleep in a crate, as she’s been doing since the IVDD diagnosis and needing to keep her more still. Snore-o-meter: 1/10. Maybe a little purr now and then. Bark-o-meter: 1/10. A princess doesn't bark. It's unseemly. Shedding meter: 2/10. Just a few sparkles on your floor. Walkout song: "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar. Despite everything life has thrown at her, she keeps getting up and living her life. Favorite pattern: Hot pink! Best accessory: A tee shirt knotted 80s style. Reeboks with scrunchy socks. If she could, she would rock a side pony tail. Dream job: Peanut Butter sommelier. That's a thing, right? Best feature: her soulful eyes. They look right into your heart and steal it. Favorite season: Summer. Sunbathing would definitely be her jam. Give her some Sun-In and a bottle of baby oil (the 80s are BACK baby!) Personality: Snuggle bug, quiet, chill, sweet, easygoing Medical: Lilly’s current seizure meds are approximately $90/month. She takes 250mg Keppra 3x/day and recently added 75mg Zonisamide 2x/day. Lilly is temporarily taking Gabapentin and Carprofen to treat IVDD pain. She is very easy to dose; she will swallow pills easily in her food; she takes her Keppra easily with a dab of peanut butter. Lilly has a seizure disorder and was recently diagnosed with IVDD. She has lost almost 3 lbs since coming into rescue, and will need to keep extra weight off to help her back. She very recently had a dental, and 15 teeth were removed. She needs to strengthen her back legs/back end, so she walks with a cute twisty little swagger! Lilly will benefit from continued acupuncture and cold laser therapy for her back. Microchipped Spayed Housebroken, Lilly was left in a home with only one daily visit for food, so she is working on refining her potty habits. She will stand at the door and bark politely to go out, however she also likes to play a game of only actually going outside the third or so time you open the door! She will consistently use potty pads, especially during bad weather. Crates are perfectly fine, and a great place for a private snooze! UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
