04/12/26. One-year-old Rocco is still waiting for his forever home. He’s currently training with the wonderful team at Diversity K9, and he’s absolutely crushing his goals. He enjoys other dogs, and while he can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, he warms up with patience and trust—then turns into a total Velcro cuddle bug. Rocco is a true working Doberman, so he’ll thrive with an adopter who’s committed to continuing his training and helping him be the best version of himself. Here’s what his fabulous trainer has to say: He’s honestly the best guy. He’s crate trained, walks great on a leash, and has a stellar recall. He knows place/down/stay, tug, drop, center, forward, back, and he’s muzzle trained. He’s good with baths and great with other dogs—he just plays really rough and tumble. He’s done well with both male and female dogs, big and small, but he can be a lot when he plays—so he wouldn’t be a good match for a dog that doesn’t share his play style. He’s good with people too, but he needs a little time before he wants pets. Once he warms up, he’s a total cuddle bug who thinks he’s a 10âlb Chihuahua. He’s happy to walk next to new people, take treats, do recall, etc. I’m just big on not pushing physical affection—especially with guarding breeds—and letting the dog have a say in the interaction. He’s high energy and LOVES to work. He’s so fun to train—then after 10 minutes, I sit down and he literally throws himself into my lap like, “Cuddle time!” He’s the biggest goofball I’ve ever met and insanely smart. I truly can’t say enough good things about him. I’ve worked with so many dogs and I love them all, but some are extra special—and he’s 10,000% one of them. 07/11/26 Our favorite senior bonded pair, Cleo and Milo, are doing wonderfully in their foster home—but they’re still searching for their forever foster home. They’re the easiest, most loving, gentle duo, and they’d be so grateful for a permanent soft place to land in their golden years. They get along great with other dogs and are wonderful with children. Hi! We’re Cleo and Milo. We came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation—over 50 dogs living in one house—until the Doberman Rescue League saved us. They brought us to an amazing foster home where we finally feel safe and loved. Now we’re ready for our forever home. We walk nicely on a leash and can be walked together (though, let’s be honest—we are Dobermans, and lizards and squirrels can be pretty distracting). We’re house-trained, calm, and gentle. 10/02/26. Our beautiful BARON just graduated with flying colors from his training at Magic City K9 and is ready to show off his new skills to one lucky family. This sweet 5-year-old Dobie mix has been patiently waiting for his forever home. He loves playing in the pool and relaxing with his people. He is highly food-motivated and will gladly show you everything he has learned, especially for some yummy treats. He likes most other dogs and plays well in groups with proper introductions. He does have a prey drive, so a cat-free home is best. He is a happy boy who will make a loving, loyal best friend. Please share handsome BARON and help him find his forever family. It is time for him to go home. 05/05/26. Baron is a 5-year-old who’s been patiently waiting for someone to notice him. This handsome blue boy may not have the classic Doberman look, but he absolutely has the heart. He came to the Melbourne shelter after being hit by a car. Thankfully, he didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries. He soon made his way to us, and he’s been waiting for months for his chance. Baron loves splashing in the pool, going for walks with our volunteers, and (of course) getting treats. He does well with other dogs. Cats and children are unknown. 04/23/26. Nyla is a vibrant, expressive Doberman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s been through her share of challenges and has grown into a dog who bonds deeply once she feels safe—but she needs time, consistency, and understanding to get there. She can be initially cautious around men and tends to feel more comfortable with a female handler, especially in new environments. Because of this, she would thrive in a home where a woman is her primary caregiver, or where introductions with men are slow, calm, and respectful of her space. Affectionately known as “Crazy Eyes” for her incredibly expressive looks, Nyla is full of charm and emotion. She loves attention, affection, and being near her person—but she builds trust at her own pace and does best when not rushed. Nyla is never aggressive during handling and responds well to calm, structured leadership. She is off-leash trained using an e-collar and can work with both male and female handlers when properly introduced, though she consistently shows stronger comfort and confidence with women. Her ideal home would include a large, secure yard, which is something she truly thrives in. Space to run, explore, and relax outdoors is very important for her happiness and confidence. She is best suited as the only dog in the household and would do well with children 14 and older who understand boundaries and respectful interaction with dogs. She is best matched with an experienced dog owner—ideally someone familiar with Dobermans or strong working breeds—who can provide structure, patience, and consistency. Nyla loves soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool during BBQs, and relaxing on the couch with her person after a day outside. 10/01/26. Meet Creed! This absolutely gorgeous 4-year-old Doberman lost the only home he had ever known through no fault of his own. Due to work and extensive travel, his owner felt it would be best to find him a family with more time for him. Creed is extremely friendly, people-oriented, and good with children. 09/06/26. Hi everyone, my name is ACE, and I really need your help finding my furever home! I’m a beautiful, all-natural, 6-year-old Doberman, and I’ve been waiting at the rescue for over two years—820 days, to be exact—to find my family. Yes, you read that correctly: 820 days! Let me tell you a little about myself. I absolutely love going for walks with the volunteers. I wait quietly in my kennel until I realize it’s my turn, and then my helicopter tail whirls happily in anticipation. I walk amazingly on a leash, with absolutely no pulling or reactivity, and I am the best car passenger you could ask for. I crave affection and attention from my favorite humans and love to snuggle up with the volunteers whenever I have the opportunity. Once I trust you and get to know you, I form very strong bonds with my people, and my love and loyalty know no bounds. Being the good Doberman that I am, I can be cautious of new people entering my home, so I would do best in a low-traffic, adult-only home with a seasoned Doberman owner. No apartment living for me, please—I prefer a fenced yard. While it’s probably best for me to be the only canine king of the house, I do enjoy the company of my fellow dog, Rex, here at the rescue, as we have both been waiting a long time for our people. I don’t know how I would feel about cats, but I have no prey drive whatsoever. You won’t find me wasting my energy chasing the iguanas at the rescue; I would rather walk like a gentleman next to my person. I have been failed twice by humans through no fault of my own. The last time, they brought me back because they left me outside in the backyard with a tempting garbage bag, and I couldn’t resist breaking into it. Seriously, what did they expect, leaving me out there for hours with nothing else to do? But I am tired of watching all my other friends leave, and now I really want to find a home of my own. I don’t ask for much…just a comfy place to land, a lap to rest my head on, a nice walk, and, of course, delicious treats never hurt.
