Story
10/02/26. Our beautiful BARON just graduated with flying colors from his training at Magic City K9 and is ready to show off his new skills to one lucky family. This sweet 5-year-old Dobie mix has been patiently waiting for his forever home. He loves playing in the pool and relaxing with his people. He is highly food-motivated and will gladly show you everything he has learned, especially for some yummy treats. He likes most other dogs and plays well in groups with proper introductions. He does have a prey drive, so a cat-free home is best. He is a happy boy who will make a loving, loyal best friend. Please share handsome BARON and help him find his forever family. It is time for him to go home.   05/05/26. Baron is a 5-year-old who’s been patiently waiting for someone to notice him. This handsome blue boy may not have the classic Doberman look, but he absolutely has the heart. He came to the Melbourne shelter after being hit by a car. Thankfully, he didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries. He soon made his way to us, and he’s been waiting for months for his chance. Baron loves splashing in the pool, going for walks with our volunteers, and (of course) getting treats. He does well with other dogs. Cats and children are unknown. Take a chance on Baron—he could be your best friend for life.   2/7/26 Meet BARON!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
04/12/26. One-year-old Rocco is still waiting for his forever home. He’s currently training with the wonderful team at Diversity K9, and he’s absolutely crushing his goals. He enjoys other dogs, and while he can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, he warms up with patience and trust—then turns into a total Velcro cuddle bug. Rocco is a true working Doberman, so he’ll thrive with an adopter who’s committed to continuing his training and helping him be the best version of himself. Here’s what his fabulous trainer has to say: He’s honestly the best guy. He’s crate trained, walks great on a leash, and has a stellar recall. He knows place/down/stay, tug, drop, center, forward, back, and he’s muzzle trained. He’s good with baths and great with other dogs—he just plays really rough and tumble. He’s done well with both male and female dogs, big and small, but he can be a lot when he plays—so he wouldn’t be a good match for a dog that doesn’t share his play style. He’s good with people too, but he needs a little time before he wants pets. Once he warms up, he’s a total cuddle bug who thinks he’s a 10‑lb Chihuahua. He’s happy to walk next to new people, take treats, do recall, etc. I’m just big on not pushing physical affection—especially with guarding breeds—and letting the dog have a say in the interaction. He’s high energy and LOVES to work. He’s so fun to train—then after 10 minutes, I sit down and he literally throws himself into my lap like, “Cuddle time!” He’s the biggest goofball I’ve ever met and insanely smart. I truly can’t say enough good things about him. I’ve worked with so many dogs and I love them all, but some are extra special—and he’s 10,000% one of them. If you’re ready for your new best friend, Rocco might be your guy. It all starts with an application. 1/24/26. Rocko is currently enjoying an eight-week training program with Diversity K9! Once he completes his training, he'll be ready to find his forever home. Be sure to check back for updates on his journey!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
04/23/26. Nyla is a vibrant, expressive Doberman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s been through her share of challenges and has grown into a dog who bonds deeply once she feels safe—but she needs time, consistency, and understanding to get there. She can be initially cautious around men and tends to feel more comfortable with a female handler, especially in new environments. Because of this, she would thrive in a home where a woman is her primary caregiver, or where introductions with men are slow, calm, and respectful of her space.   Affectionately known as “Crazy Eyes” for her incredibly expressive looks, Nyla is full of charm and emotion. She loves attention, affection, and being near her person—but she builds trust at her own pace and does best when not rushed. Nyla is never aggressive during handling and responds well to calm, structured leadership. She is off-leash trained using an e-collar and can work with both male and female handlers when properly introduced, though she consistently shows stronger comfort and confidence with women.   Her ideal home would include a large, secure yard, which is something she truly thrives in. Space to run, explore, and relax outdoors is very important for her happiness and confidence. She is best suited as the only dog in the household and would do well with children 14 and older who understand boundaries and respectful interaction with dogs.   She is best matched with an experienced dog owner—ideally someone familiar with Dobermans or strong working breeds—who can provide structure, patience, and consistency.   Nyla loves soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool during BBQs, and relaxing on the couch with her person after a day outside. She also enjoys neighborhood walks, where a prong collar helps manage her excitement when she gets amped up.   This beautiful girl is looking for a calm, stable home with outdoor space, a patient heart, and someone who understands that trust is earned over time. In the right environment, Nyla becomes a deeply loyal, affectionate, and devoted companion who bonds for life. 8/12/24 Welcome Nyla!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
10/08/26. Meet Asher! This absolutely stunning 2-year-old boy lost his family through no fault of his own. He is very sweet and gentle and gets along well with children and other dogs. We were also told that he does not seem to mind cats. He was recently neutered and will begin heartworm treatment when he is ready. This young Doberman is spectacular. The family who adopts him will be very lucky!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
07/06/26. Meet magnificent Magnum. This absolutely adorable 6-year-old boy is a big, gentle giant who loves everyone he meets—and he’s already captured the hearts of those of us lucky enough to know him. His owner made the difficult decision to surrender him to us after he started getting rambunctious and jumping the 4-foot fence to get to her chickens. Magnum has spent most of his life outdoors, so he’ll need to learn the ropes of being a house dog. But he’s extremely smart and keeps a clean kennel, so we have no doubt he’ll adjust quickly. Magnum truly loves people. When strangers came into his yard, he would go to his kennel when asked. Once, he even carried a visitor's heavy toolbox across the yard—and happily gave it up when told. This charming boy has a lot of personality. He walks nicely on a leash, but he’s a big guy and can be strong. Any fenced yard should be 6–8 feet tall for him. He hasn’t been around children or cats and doesn’t do well with small animals. He previously lived with two female Dobermans, so he’d likely do well with another female dog, or as the only “king canine” of the house soaking up all the attention. If you’re looking for a new summer love, get your applications in for Magnum.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
09/24/26. AYLA is still waiting for someone to notice her and give her a chance. This beautiful, all-natural Dobie girl is friendly and playful with every volunteer she meets. She would do best as the only dog in the home, with an active adopter who can provide the physical and mental stimulation she needs to flourish. Like the good Doberman she is, she may be wary of new people entering her home and needs an adopter experienced with guardian breeds. AYLA is an amazing Doberman who will make a loving, loyal companion for the right adopter. 05/17/26. Welcome Ayla to DRL! Ayla (DOB 05/25/23) is a stunning, all-natural Doberman girl with a heart full of love—and plenty of energy to spare. This beautiful young lady is ready to find her forever home! Ayla is dog-selective and, right now, would do best as an only dog. We’re still getting to know her, and she may do well with a calm male dog with a proper introduction. Her history with cats is unknown. Because of her energy level, Ayla would do best in a home with children over 10 years old. Ayla is very energetic and will thrive with an active family who can provide structure, exercise, and continued training. In return, she’ll give endless loyalty, affection, and companionship. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, spirited companion, Ayla might be your perfect match.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral).
