Story
05/30/26. Meet Nolton! Nolton was born on 12/17/2022, and he’s a gentle giant with a heart to match his size. This tall, handsome guy is full of personality and isn’t shy about letting you know how he feels—he’s quite vocal and has an endless supply of love to give. Nolton came to us when his devoted owners—an elderly couple—made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him due to health issues. They loved him dearly and wanted to be sure he’d have the care, activity, and attention he deserves. We’re still getting to know Nolton, and he’ll need a vet visit for vaccinations and neuter surgery. So far, he’s been friendly and affectionate, enjoys being around other dogs, and has done well with teenage children. Like many big, strong dogs, Nolton will benefit from continued training—especially leash manners. Because of his size and energy, we think he’ll do best in a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can run, play, and stretch those long legs. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will fill your home with affection, conversation, and classic Doberman devotion, Nolton might be the perfect match. Interested in meeting Nolton? The first step is to submit an adoption application. Please share to help this sweet giant find the forever home he deserves.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
05/2/26. Gordon had a great field trip today! He went to the baseball field to watch and he was amazing. Gordon met some wonderful parents and got tons of love and attention—he was so well behaved. Now we just need to find this sweet senior boy a comfy place to land. Gordon’s owner passed away, and he’s looking for a soft spot to call home. He’s calm and gentle, and he may take a little time to warm up—but once he feels safe, he turns into a total lovebug. He walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and gets along with other dogs. Gordon would make such a loving, loyal companion. Let’s help this Velcro lovebug find his person.  3/22/26. GORDON is about 6–7 years old. When his owner passed away, the family came to clear out the apartment and left him tied up outside the front door. He stayed there like that for three days — alone, confused, and grieving — until finally someone who cared was notified. He was brought to the amazing Junior in Redlands, and he’s now safe with us. GORDON is very shy and timid with people he doesn’t know, which makes sense after what he’s been through. Once he feels safe, though, he blossoms into a happy lovebug. He absolutely adores his rescuer, Marinella — his whole tail goes wild when he sees her. He gets along with other dogs, and being around them actually seems to help him relax. We know he isn’t a purebred Dobie, but we never leave a dog behind if they need help. Please think about opening your heart and home to GORDON. He won’t let you down.   3/1/26 – Meet Gordon. His owner had died, and he was left at the home, later found by the landlord.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
03/30/26. ACE is looking for his forever family. This handsome Doberman gentleman was adopted from a shelter by a group of college boys. They truly meant well, but eventually realized they couldn’t keep a dog in their apartment—so they brought him to us to help find him a safe, loving home. ACE has a wonderful, calm temperament and is friendly with everyone he meets. He walks nicely on a leash, gets along well with other dogs, and is an all-around happy boy. We don’t have much of a history on him since he came from a shelter, so for now we’re recommending a home without cats or young children. Moving forward, we’re committed to making sure his next chapter is one filled with love and stability. ACE can’t wait to meet his person and be your best friend.   03/29/26 – Ace is a 2-year-old blue boy who was adopted from OCAS a few weeks ago and is now being surrendered to us because the family’s 19-year-old son can’t keep him at his mom’s house. He’s extremely sweet and does great with other dogs. Cats are unknown. He’s ready for his forever home. He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Please don’t make negative comments about his ears. He’s a rescue dog who just needs a loving home, and whatever happened before he came to us can’t be changed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
04/23/26. Nyla is a vibrant, expressive Doberman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s been through her share of challenges and has grown into a dog who bonds deeply once she feels safe—but she needs time, consistency, and understanding to get there. She can be initially cautious around men and tends to feel more comfortable with a female handler, especially in new environments. Because of this, she would thrive in a home where a woman is her primary caregiver, or where introductions with men are slow, calm, and respectful of her space.   Affectionately known as “Crazy Eyes” for her incredibly expressive looks, Nyla is full of charm and emotion. She loves attention, affection, and being near her person—but she builds trust at her own pace and does best when not rushed. Nyla is never aggressive during handling and responds well to calm, structured leadership. She is off-leash trained using an e-collar and can work with both male and female handlers when properly introduced, though she consistently shows stronger comfort and confidence with women.   Her ideal home would include a large, secure yard, which is something she truly thrives in. Space to run, explore, and relax outdoors is very important for her happiness and confidence. She is best suited as the only dog in the household and would do well with children 14 and older who understand boundaries and respectful interaction with dogs.   She is best matched with an experienced dog owner—ideally someone familiar with Dobermans or strong working breeds—who can provide structure, patience, and consistency.   Nyla loves soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool during BBQs, and relaxing on the couch with her person after a day outside. She also enjoys neighborhood walks, where a prong collar helps manage her excitement when she gets amped up.   This beautiful girl is looking for a calm, stable home with outdoor space, a patient heart, and someone who understands that trust is earned over time. In the right environment, Nyla becomes a deeply loyal, affectionate, and devoted companion who bonds for life. 8/12/24 Welcome Nyla!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
04/09/26. Hi, my name is Cooper! I’m a gorgeous 17-month-old, big sweet Doberman boy looking for my forever home. My previous owner was very elderly and couldn’t manage my exuberance, strength and puppy energy. I’m still new to the rescue, so they’re getting to know me, but one thing is already clear: I’m incredibly friendly with every person I meet. I’ll definitely need some training. I walk nicely on a leash, but I’m a big boy and will need a strong, confident handler. I’m not a fan of other dogs or cats, so I need to be the only furry kid in the house—but that’s okay, because I have so much love to give. I haven’t been around children, so an adult-only home would be best for me. I’m also scared of storms and loud trucks. Please help me find my furever home. With gentle guidance and proper training, I’m going to be magnificent!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
05/05/26. Barron is a 5-year-old who’s been patiently waiting for someone to notice him. This handsome blue boy may not have the classic Doberman look, but he absolutely has the heart. He came to the Melbourne shelter after being hit by a car. Thankfully, he didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries. He soon made his way to us, and he’s been waiting for months for his chance. Barron loves splashing in the pool, going for walks with our volunteers, and (of course) getting treats. He does well with other dogs. Cats and children are unknown. Take a chance on Barron—he could be your best friend for life.   2/7/26 Meet BARRON!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
You can apply for Speckles at https://ladyluckanimalrescue.wufoo.com/forms/canine-adoption-agreement-and-application/ â¤ï¸ Speckles is a 6 year old, 65 lb Beautiful Brindle Male dog looking for a home. We have never done a DNA test, so we are not sure if he’s a Rhodesian Ridgeback or a Staffordshire Terrier. He’s a lover; no test needed to confirm that! He was recently in a foster home with other dogs, which proved to be too much for him. He is great with other dogs when walking in the neighborhood and out on adventures in town. Speckles loves everyone he meets, he enjoys going to the park, long walks, snuggling on the couch. We are trying to find a home for him where he will be the center of attention, no other pets or small children. He honestly would be the ideal dog for a single person looking for a companion. He’s completely house trained, doesn’t bark, he’s content in his crate chewing on a bone while you’re out running errands. Speckles will keep you company cooking, cleaning, on walks, in the car at night when it’s bedtime. If you’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places, Speckles checks all the boxes and will never break your heart!  Speckles is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.     May 31, 2026, 7:39 pm
