11/01/25. Nyla is a spirited and lively Doberman who has overcome quite a few challenges in her life. She can be cautious around men at first and takes her time settling into a new home environment. Affectionately nicknamed “Crazy Eyes” for her endless range of expressive looks, Nyla is full of personality. She loves attention and affection but needs patience and space to build trust at her own pace. She has never shown aggression during handling and responds best to a calm, gentle approach. Nyla is off-leash trained using an e-collar and works well with both male and female handlers. For her ideal home, Nyla would thrive as the only dog in a household with children 14 and older. An owner with prior Doberman experience would be the perfect match. Nyla’s favorite pastimes include soaking up the sun, lounging by the pool during BBQs, and relaxing on the couch with her person. She enjoys neighborhood walks—a prong collar helps manage her enthusiasm when she gets excited. This beautiful girl is looking for a family who enjoys outdoor adventures, whether that’s hiking, exploring nature trails, or simply spending time together in the sunshine. Though she takes time to bond, Nyla has never shown aggression and is both on- and off-leash trained with an e-collar. She responds well to both male and female handlers. She thrives outdoors, whether soaking up the sun or lounging by the pool during BBQs. She is also a fan of indoor snuggles, often hopping onto furniture to be close to her person. Daily walks are a favorite activity, and she uses a prong collar to assist with pulling. 01/16/26 Sundae is a beautiful black and tan female Doberman whose name carries a story of resilience and hope. She was lovingly named “Sundae” after being rescued on a Sunday evening, discovered alongside her twin brother, Jack. Though she approaches the world with a cautious and skeptical outlook, Sundae’s heart is deeply affectionate. She finds comfort and confidence through praise, gentle guidance, and human connection, steadily learning that the world can be a safe and rewarding place. Highly motivated by both treats and food, Sundae is currently in training to build her confidence and master basic on-leash obedience. She has never shown aggression toward other dogs, yet she does best as the sole canine in the home where she can feel secure and fully supported. Sundae adores people and absolutely loves children, greeting them with warmth and enthusiasm. Playful by nature, she frequently bursts into joyful zoomies, and when it’s time to relax, her favorite nylon bone keeps her happily occupied. For her safety and peace of mind, Sundae should be crated whenever she cannot be physically supervised. An active lifestyle suits Sundae perfectly, especially with a handler who enjoys long walks and spending time outdoors. A home with high, secure fencing is essential, as she is an accomplished escape artist and should never be left unattended in the yard, even with supervision. She is a dog who thrives on love, structure, and activity, offering endless affection and loyalty to the person willing to guide her forward. 11/17/25 Sundae is one of the Dobies we have been trying to catch for months in the Redlands dumping ground. After several months of hard work by a very dedicated volunteer, we were able to get both her and her companion Tank. She can be a little shy at first but then warms up quickly and is very friendly with everyone she meets. She is a young, beautiful, all-natural Dobie gal, and once she puts on some groceries, she will look fantastic. She will make a loving and loyal companion. She likes other dogs, cats, and children, though that is unknown. 1/17/26 Meet Barron, a 5-year-old boy who ended up at a shelter in Melbourne after he got hit by a car. His owner couldn’t afford treatment, but thankfully, the X-rays showed no fractures—just some scrapes and bruises. He’s on antibiotics now, and his wounds are healing well. Barron's such a sweet and adorable dog! We're currently assessing how he interacts with other dogs to get a better sense of his personality. 01/12/26 Welcome Apollo to DRL DOB:04/17/18 this sweet boy found him self at the rescue no fault of his. Note from the owner: “Unfortunately, due to a few circumstances, we can no longer give him the home he deserves. Our daughter has a dog allergy, which has required us to keep Apollo separated in an open room away from the main areas of the house, limiting his ability to be with the family.” It breaks our hearts because he thrives on companionship. We want what is best for Apollo, and we believe a rescue can help him find a loving home where he can be fully included and cared for. He is a senior dobe with so much love to give. 12/22/25. Our volunteer favorite ACE is hoping for his holiday miracle wish of a furever home to come true. This incredibly sweet and handsome 6-7 year old boy has been failed twice by humans and could really use the magic of the season to find his person. ACE is a loving and loyal companion who walks incredibly on a leash and rides wonderfully in a car. He is non-reactive to other dogs on his walks but prefers to be the only dog in the home. Like the good Dobie that he is, he can be wary of new people coming to his house, so he will need a low-traffic home and a Doberman-savvy owner who understands the breed's quirks. Once he knows you and you are part of his pack, his love for you has no bounds. He is a truly special boy and only wants a comfy spot to lie his head in his golden years. He keeps a very clean kennel and has been seen carrying his food bowl to his outside run to dine alfresco, loves his treats, and his walks. PLEASE SHARE ACE and help make his holiday wish of a home come true. He's a good boy and has been waiting a really long time. 10/14/25. Prayer warriors once again needed for our volunteer favorite ACE who has been waiting a really long time for his furever home. ACE may be many of the volunteers' favorite boy, but he definitely chose his favorite volunteer! His helicopter tail whirls like crazy every time he sees Jason Ward! ACE loves his people fiercely and craves human affection and attention. He walks incredibly on a leash, knows basic commands, and rides great in the car. This 6-year-old boy just wants a comfy spot to lie his head and spend his golden years. He can be wary of new people entering his home, so he will need a seasoned adopter when introducing him to new people. A more loyal and loving Doberman you will not find. Please don't overlook this all-natural middle-aged gentleman; he has so much love to give and hasn't had the best luck with his previous adopters. He will be ever so grateful. He doesn't mind other dogs at the rescue, not leash reactive at all, but is best as the only dog. Cats are unknown, and unfortunately, we have no way to test. 9/01/25. ACE this beautiful dober gent is patiently waiting for his person. Non-reactive to other dogs, but best as the only dog in the house. Walks amazingly on a leash, rides great in the car, just wants a human to love. Forms very strong attachments to his people, so is wary of anyone new coming into his pack. Needs a knowledgeable dobie-savvy adopter. PLEASE let's find ACE his furever home. He has been let down by humans a few times already and just wants to go home. 6/26/25. Say hello to our sweet ACE!!!! This absolutely adorable 6-year-old dober boy could really use your help finding his furever family. He was returned to us last June because of financial duress in his family. After several months of waiting, we thought we found him a great home, but after 6 months and absolutely NO FAULT of his own, he is once again back at the rescue looking for someone to give him furever. ACE is a gentle, calm boy that longs for attention and affection; he wants nothing more than to put his head in your lap for pets. Like the good Doberman he is, ACE forms very strong attachments to his humans and can be wary of new people entering his home. He will need a knowledgeable adopter and a home with a fenced yard. Although he has shown no reaction to other dogs at the rescue, he is best as the only dog. No cats. ACE walks amazingly on a leash, rides great in the car, is extremely smart, has had some training, and is extremely eager to please. He wants nothing more than a comfy spot to lay his head and grow old with you. He will make a very loving and loyal companion if you give him the chance. PLEASE SHARE ACE to help him find his furever; he's been failed by humans three times already. 5/25/24. Meet another ACE! This adorable all natural 3 year old Dober boy finds himself at the rescue thru no fault of his own. He is very sweet and calm. He waits patiently in his kennel run to be taken out. He is good with children but prefers to be the only dog in his home. House trained, rides well in car.
