Story
Hello there everyone! My name is Connor, it is nice to meet you! I am a super active, energetic, and playful guy looking for his forever home! I absolutely love to play with toys and go exploring! Stuffed toys are my absolutely favorite, I love to sleep with my stuffies every night and cuddle with them! I absolutely love to play with other dogs, I have made many friends during my time here and we always have such a blast roughhousing! If you have any dogs at home I would love to meet them to see if we click! I also do really well with cats! Those little felines are just so cute, I can't help but love them! You should check out the 3rd picture on my profile, you can see me snuggling next a cat who was in the foster home I spent some time in!I have been here at the shelter for two years, and during that time I have grown to love all the staff here. I can sometimes be a bit mouthy when exploring something new, whether that it a new environment or a new person! I feel the world best that way. The staff here thinks I might be hard of hearing (Or I could just be selective, but I won't tell), so using my mouth to explore everything around me is how I live my life! Once I am able to taste everything around me and learn it is safe, I am perfectly content! Just spend some time with me and we will be the best of friends! (Hint: Treats and butt scratches are a great way to my heart!) After a long day of playing and going on adventures, I love nothing more than to lay on a couch and snooze the rest of the day away! I am still learning some manners, such as where it is OK to go to the bathroom and how to walk properly on a leash, but I am a fast learner and can't wait to learn from you! I would do best in a home with older children, just because I do have so much energy and would not want to knock any little ones over! If you are interested in meeting me, I am in the same boat! Please come by the shelter and say hello! If you think Connor would be a great match, please contact HSWM to learn more about him!

Story
Hello! It is so nice to meet you! My name is Kota! I am a super cool senior with a ton of love to give! I absolutely love being around my people, getting the butt scratches are just the best! I absolutely love treats, and I know how to "sit" for them too! I even stand up and wave my paws for them too! Even at my age I am still a very energetic boy, and I love to run and play! I have made some friends while being here too, and we love to run around and have a blast! I am also very housebroken, I am always such a good boy who waits for the staff to come get me in the morning for my daily walks before I go! I have been here for two years now but I have not lost my charm and cuteness, that is for sure!I really enjoy walks, I love to smell the flowers and enjoy the nice weather! Sometimes I can pull a bit when I smell something I really want to get closer to, but other than that I am a decent walker! I love food too, I love it so much that the staff has to keep an eye on me because sometimes I get too chunky! I also do not like to share my food; "Joey doesn't share food!" My favorite phrase from the show ‘Friends'! Because of this, if you have any other dogs at home, please feed me in another room where I can enjoy my meal! I enjoy getting to meet new people, but sometimes I can be a bit noisy at first just because I am introducing myself the best way I know how! Once you get to my heart via treats, we will be the best of pals! If you have any dogs at home, please bring them by for a proper dog introduction so we can see if we click! I hope you are excited to meet me, because I am excited to meet you!If you think Kota might be an awesome match for you, please contact HSWM to learn more about him!

Story
Well hi there! My name is Kuno, what is yours? I am a super fun senior ready to explore the world and live my best life! I have been at the shelter for two years now, but that hasn't slowed me down! Even as an older man, I still love to run and play and just be me! I have made a few friends at the shelter during my stay, and we have such a blast playing! I have never really found toys all that appealing, I have much more fun with other dogs or with my favorite people! I am also housebroken, how cool is that? I am such a pro at it, but I will just need your help in knowing how to alert you for when I need to go! Unless you have a doggy door, then it was meant to be!I absolutely love food and treats are just as great! Because I love food so much, I would do best eating in a room separate from any other dogs you may have, but I am sure I could share if you teach me! You can always teach an old dog new tricks you know! I love going on walks too, and while I could use some leash manners, I am fairly good on my walks and only pull a little. I love to enjoy the nice breeze and smell all the unique smells in the world! If you have any dogs at home, I would very much love to meet them! I hope you will bring them by! I can be a bit shy when meeting new people at first, but give me treats and butt scratches (those are seriously the best), and we will be besties in no time! I hope to meet you soon!If you think Kuno would be a wonderful match, please contact HSWM to learn more about this sweet boy!

Story
Meet our staff favorite and all-around good girl Kendra! Kendra has been with HSWM for nearly two years and we hope that she can find a forever person to love as hard as she loves our staff. Hi, I'm Kendra! My first interview question for my new person is: Do you have a car? I LOVE CARS! Car rides are my favorite thing in the world. Now that we have that out of the way, I'll tell you a bit about me! I'm a Belgian Malinois, which I believe translates to "too smart for my own good." I tend to think I am smarter than most dogs and most people too. I learn new skills very quickly and I love to have a challenge to keep my brain busy. I am an expert in "sit," "up," and "off" and new commands come pretty quickly to me, especially when treats are involved. I absolutely LOVE to play fetch with a basketball and I like to herd the ball around too! I am an older girl in number only, and I am not looking for a quiet retirement home to rest. Instead, I want a home where I can have mental stimulation, lots of exercise, and to be included in my new human's activities. Sometimes I get excited and pull when I'm out on walks, but with a little reminder or two I'm back to walking nicely. I love my caregivers at the shelter, and I know once I meet my person I will bond very quickly and love them forever. I will do best in a home with adults only or older children, as I am pretty tall and bouncy and may knock younger kids over. I do not like cats, but I have met a few dog friends at the shelter. If you have dogs at home, you can bring them to the shelter to meet me and see if we get along! If you think you may be Kendra's perfect match, please contact HSWM to learn more about her!

Story
Hello there! I go by Molly around here, and I am as sweet as apple pie! I have tons of energy and love to run and play! Snow is an absolute blast, probably my favorite season of all! I love to tuck my butt and do zoomies all over the snow! I love to play with toys too, hard toys are my favorite to chew on. I absolutely love getting loved on all over, though my hind legs can be sensitive sometimes. I love treats and know how to "sit" for them too! I promise to share the treats too, and I am a very eager learner so I would love to learn more tricks! I am a good walker too, but sometimes if I see other dogs, I get so excited I just want to go say hello and might end up pulling a bit, so I could use some training! I love making doggy friends too! I am much more inclined for the guys than the gals, and I have made some awesome friends here at the shelter! The crazier the better, I love being able to run laps and play with toys with others! I am very attached to my favorite people, and I definitely love being near them all the time! I would definitely love some crate training for when you are gone, that way I have a safe space all my own while I wait for you to come home! I would do best in a home with older children, as the little ones just make me a bit nervous. I have been at the shelter for a year and a half now, but that has not stopped me from loving on all the new volunteers I get to meet and living life! If you are interested in meeting me, I would very much love the same!If you think Molly might be a wonderful match for your family, please contact HSWM to learn more about her!

Story
Hello all you fantastic and wonderful people! My name is Sparkle! First off, are you ready for a super cool gal who will love you forever? Yes? Perfect! I am a super energetic young thing that would just dig having a place of my own! I absolutely love going on walks and basking in the nice warm sun! I love toys, though balls are just so much more fun to me. If you play fetch with me I will be such a happy girl! I know how to "sit", "shake", and "lay down", for treats, how cool am I? I am just super attentive and smart! An active home would be just the best for me, but after a long day of running and playing, I love nothing more than laying down by the fire and snoozin' away! I have been here at the shelter for two years, and during that time I have gotten to know and love every staff member and volunteer that comes by! I would very much love to get to know you too. I get so excited when I see someone I know, I love to jump and bounce all over my kennel until they take me out to love on me! I actually get a lot of height in my jumps, so a tall fence is ideal, lest I jump over to follow you to Wal-Mart! I would do best in a home with older children, simply because this gal is always moving and I do not want to run over any littles. I would be happiest as the only pet in the home, just so I can soak up all your love for myself! If you think Sparkle would be a great fit, please contact HSWM to learn more about her!
