Story
This is Booker! He is a labrador/Dachshund mix. He is 3 years old and a loving and fun dog. No rehoming fee! Booker is super sweet and a great family dog. He is a sh-medium size dog, only about 30 lb if that, and has the demeanor of both the lab and a dachshund. He is protective of his family and gives great cuddles. He walks well on leash after calming down. Good on walks with a stroller as well. Loves toys, food, and keeping someone company. Very food motivated and knows basic commands when rewarded with treats. Has lived with other cats and dogs all his life, but may be reactive until he gets used to other pets. Is protective of his family/women, but is fine with strangers after a proper/positive introduction. Is known to be a bit mischievous and is currently crated when owners are out of house. Needs to be let out 2-3 times a day.

Story
Meet Baxter, an approximately 3-year-old neutered male Dachshund mix. Baxter and his brother were abandoned by their previous owner. Baxter is timid upon first meeting new people. He will require an adopter who will allow him time to adjust. Baxter is up to date on shots, microchipped and appears to be house trained. He and his brother, Alfie, are a bonded pair, which means they will need to be adopted together. If you would like to meet these two, please give the shelter a call at 928-636-4223, ext. 7 to set up an appointment.
We'll also keep you updated on Alfie's adoption status with email updates.
