Story
*No Apartments * No unfenced pools * No children * No other dogs June is a darling sweet and Sassy Shih Tzu mix girl. She gets along with all people and walks well on a leash. She gets along with most other dogs but can exert her dominance with certain dogs. She is smart as a whip and has the typical laid back temperament you would expect with a Shih Tzus. June weighs 10.8 lbs and is estimated to be 2 years old. She is missing an eye but it doesn’t slow her down one bit! We do not know how June lost her eye as she came to us as a Stray with it already missing. June would be great as an only dog. She loves playing outside and lounging in the sun. Like many rescue dogs, we’re not sure how well housetrained June is. However, with gentle guidance, consistency, structure, and praise, he should be easy to train. June is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Adoption Fee: $450 This fee includes at least one health exam with our veterinarian while in our care, spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including rabies, as age-appropriate), a pre-adoption professional grooming, and a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional cost. Dogs also leave with a new collar and/or harness, leash, and a gift bag that includes, among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble currently fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also help us rescue the next homeless or unwanted dog in need. If you would like to be considered for B or any of our wonderful dogs, please complete an application here. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog We review each application carefully. Please understand that we often receive multiple applications for specific dogs, and as a volunteer-run rescue, we may not be able to respond to everyone. All applications remain in our database, so please feel free to reach out if another dog catches your interest. We truly appreciate every applicant and strive to match each dog and family for a happy, successful life together.

Story
We’re looking for a loving, committed home for our two sweet Shih Tzu brothers, Chester and Max. This is not an easy decision for us, but we want them to have the time, attention, and consistency they truly deserve.About them:• Two male Shih Tzu brothers, about 2 1/2 years old• Bonded pair – they’ve grown up together and we’d like them to stay together• Friendly, affectionate, and love being around people• Partially house trained• Up to date on vaccinations• Microchipped (Petlink, transferable)• They both have been neuteredThey have great personalities and bring a lot of joy, but like many young dogs, they still need continued training, patience, and daily attention. We’re looking for:A stable, loving home that has the time to invest in them—ideally someone familiar with small breeds or willing to continue their training and routines. A home where they won’t be left alone for long hours would be ideal.

Story
Tina is an absolutely adorable petite, liver and white Shih Tzu girl. She is 2 years old and was surrendered by her owners who were unable to care for her. She’s the happiest little gal you’ve ever met. She craves attention and never tires of it. Tina does have glaucoma and had 1 eye removed and gets drops in her other eye. She will need periodic eye check visits at a regular veterinarian or Eye Care For Animals as well as daily drops. Please be aware of the possible ongoing costs. We have done everything we are able to for her this far and she’s definitely worth it! Please note: Some of the Photos show Tina before her eye was removed. Tina is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Tina’s adoption fee is $300 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
