Pepper (female) & Jack (male) are a very affectionate pair. They were wandering the neighborhood, going from house to house. It appears they were abandoned, since no one in our neighborhood had seen them before. It was apparent they hadn’t been properly cared for by their previous owners. When found, their hair was extremely matted, especially the smaller one. His hair was matted down to the skin, and his nails were curled under his paw. I took them to the vet for an initial exam and rabies shot. They are appx 12-18 months old and healthy. Jack limps when he runs sometimes, as he has a slight deformity on his right front paw. We also have had Jack neutered. We are looking for a home where they can stay together. All they want is love and attention. Both love to cuddle and are very playful. Will make a great family dog. Rehoming fee is for both dogs.

Tia is a super sweet, healthy 11 year old 20 pound Shih Tzu who joined us recently when her owner could no longer care for her. She's a sweet, gentle, girl with a calm personality who enjoys the company of other calmer dogs. She is housetrained, likes to sleep in bed with her humans, and loves walks. We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. Dee Dee is available for PRE-ADOPTION. She is not yet fully vetted. She can not leave the rescue until Approximately March 15. Dee Dee is a sweet, petite Shih Tzu who loves to love. She’s not “needy” but loves affection and love. She’s would love to sleep in your bed with you. She travels well, walks on a leash and lathers her person with love. Dee Dee is 2 years old. She’s just a bit of a thing weighing about 10 lbs. Like many of our rescue dogs, we are not sure how well housetrained Dee Dee is. But with gentle persuasion, some consistency, structure and praise she should be easy to train. Dee Dee is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Dee Dee’s adoption fee is $450 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue!
