Story
Bear was rescued from a campground in Brandon Missouri. he was a small 3 month old puppy with no one to love him. we brought him in and quickly realized that he was a lot of dog. we have never had his DNA tested but we believe he is some version of pitt mixed with german shepherd. he has the sweetest face and really just loves everyone. He is very high energy so being around small children can be dangerous, he will knock them over with out realizing it. The Perfect home for Bear would be an adult, if children are present I think older than 10 would be good ages. He likes to play while simultaneously loving to lounge about in bed or on the couch, he his a HUGE cuddle bug. He hates to lay on the floor if there is a lap to lay his head on. He doesn't need a ton of play time but a few times a day to let him play with a ball or frisbee is when he's having the best time. He is a nervous chewer so there needs to be a few Nyla-bones laying around.

Story
Sirius is 1 year and 7 months old. I got him from a family who was unable to take care of him when he was 10 months old. I got a new job where I work 60 hrs a week and I have not had the time to give him the training or exercise he needed which then turned into him chewing stuff up and getting more and more aggressive(.He has never bit anyone but he does growls and at worse nips but he is very affectionate and loving otherwise). I love Sirius with all my heart and it pains me to see him going down this path due to me not being able to care for him in the way that he needs. I'm hoping someone with more experience can take him in and give him the life he deserves!!! Will provide Bed/Crate/Bowls He is potty trained Will pay for neutering if need be

Story
Nova Jane is 5 years old, born April 11th, 2019. She’s about 40lbs, and has been my best friend for her entire life. She has a typical husky personality, with lots of energy and sass! She loves to play, run, and be around people. She is so friendly and lovable, and makes an amazing friend. Unfortunately, we have been discovering that Nova is not good around kids. I have an 11 month old and am pregnant again, and Nova has started showing some concerning behaviors around the baby. This is not something we can risk, so as much as it breaks my heart, I need to find her another loving home. Ideally, her new owners would be equipped to handle dog with a lot of energy, and who sheds a significant amount. In other words, an owner prepared for a husky!

Story
Larkspur came from a hoarding situation and with some TLC she is ready to find her forever home!  She is being fostered in a home that has dogs and kids and loves both! She is sweet, loving and loyal.  She loves to play ball and she is learning fetch.  She is still working on her leash training, but has come a long way.  It does take her her a little time to warm up due to her past situation but once she warms up she is fine. She will need someone with patience and let her know its going to be ok.  She is potty trained and knows the doggy door, she also know how to sit and doesnt jump. All dogs have age appropriate vaccines including Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies. All dogs are spayed or neutered, and wormed for parasites. Older puppies and adults are tested for heartworms and treated if found to be positive.  NovaStar is a 501C3 non-profit rescue that receives no monetary help from local, state or federal entities. All adoption fees go straight to our vets to help pay for the veterinary care and other expenses related to the care of all the dogs in the rescue.
