Story
Sissy's foster mom says she often sits on the sofa and watches them; not wanting to miss out on anything. Even when she's ready for a nap and she can't keep her eyes open she stays. Perhaps she is concerned that if she closes her eyes, she will discover that this amazing life was just a dream and will vanish? Can you believe that until just recently this girl spent her entire 8 years of life living outside in a 4 x 6 dog run? Her only purpose was to bring dead birds back to her owner. She has been so good in the house, working hard on her house training and being on her best behavior. She wants nothing more than to please and and earn your positive attention. While the vet estimated her to be 8 years of age, don't let that number fool you. Sissy still has a lot to do and a lot of love to give! This beauty is very good on leash and enjoys a .5 to 1 mile walk with her family each day. She currently lives with another female dogs and is very friendly. Sissy weighs around 45 pounds. Sissy is a stunning English Pointer who was surrendered after she decided hunting was no longer her calling. Sadly, her former owner didn’t have time for her outside of that role — but we know her perfect forever home is out there, ready to give her the love and life she deserves. At around 8 years old and weighing 45–50 pounds, Sissy has that classic bird dog spirit — curious, active, and intelligent. Don't let her age fool you! There is plenty of hunt left in this pretty girl! She enjoys exploring the yard, sniffing out every interesting scent, and keeping herself busy. She’ll thrive with daily exercise, outdoor adventures, and activities that engage her sharp mind.  Sissy lives harmoniously with another female dog in her foster home and is very friendly and congenial. Sissy is the perfect mix of companionship and enthusiasm — ready to curl up at your feet after a satisfying day of play and exploration. If you’re looking for a loyal, social, and spirited companion to share your life (and couch), Sissy might just be your girl. Story
Gizmo was rescued from the streets of Texas where he was dumped by his previous owner. He languished there for a few months while a kind woman fed him eash day but was not able to take him in. Circle 2 Rescue stepped up to save this handsome boy and quickly got him to a vet. In his temporary foster home, Gizmo has been an absolute delight! His foster mom introduced him to the neighbor's puppy and Gizmo was so patient and well behaved, even though Gizmo was playing with his ball and the puppy was jumping all over him. Gizmo showed remarkable patience. He has been kind and respectiful of her young kids with closely supervised encounters and is well behaved in the house. His foster mom said he is a dream on leash and he loves to play fetch, even bringing the ball back to you! He is so happy and excited to see his foster mom when she returns from work each day from her teaching job. She said he makes her heart feel happy. These things indicate the Gizmo was likely a beloved family pet at one point in his life and he must have been so confused at being abandoned. But he hasn't let his hardship affect his happy attitude. This boy is a love!! At his vet appointment we learned that Gizmo is heart worm positive.  He has completed most of the treatment protocol and just needs an appointment on May 30th. Whilte the vet was not certain of Gizmo's age, he said he is likely around 5 years of age and he weighs 57 pounds. If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2304740##

Story
Muffin is a sweet dog who is very protective and loving. She needs a moderate amount of exercise to thrive and would love a big field to run around in. She wants to herd your cats or children around. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, come, and leave it. She has a stubborn streak. I would not ever consider rehoming her but my living situation has changed and circumstances are beyond my control. If you can provide her with a loving home please let me know.

Story
Cal has been with our family since July 2020. He is going to be 6 years old in June, but still has plenty of energy! He is a great companion, loyal and energetic. Has separation anxiety and will bark at noises/guests. Would be best suited for a single person or couple who go on a lot of adventures. When I say he barks at guests, he’s not aggressive just extremely excited. Once he gets used to a new person he calms down. Cal has been great off leash on long hikes and seems to get along with other dogs while at dog parks or when we have boarded him while on vacations. He would benefit from having a back yard.
