Story
Meet Gus! Gus is a sweet, medium-sized mixed-breed boy who may have a little Australian Shepherd in his family tree. With his gentle nature and thoughtful personality, Gus is looking for a patient and understanding family that will help him settle into his new life at his own pace. Gus can be a bit shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places. When he's unsure, he tends to seek out small, cozy spaces where he can feel safe while he takes everything in. Once he realizes he's in good hands, his sweet personality begins to shine through. One thing that makes Gus unique is that he's deaf. For Gus, being deaf isn't a challenge-it's simply the way he's always experienced the world. He navigates life just fine and is learning that people can communicate with him through visual cues, routines, and positive reinforcement. When it comes to fun, Gus loves playing with a ball and is always excited when it's time for a game. He hasn't quite mastered fetch yet, but with a little patience and training, he just might discover that bringing the ball back is half the fun! Gus is searching for a family that understands that trust takes time. With kindness, consistency, and plenty of encouragement, this special boy will continue to gain confidence and show just how wonderful a companion he can be. If you're looking for a gentle soul to grow alongside, Gus may be the perfect addition to your family. Primary Color: Double Merle Weight: 42.125 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 6 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better, and continues to be on good salmon food and supplements. He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. Howie is a big snuggler and will want to share your bed! He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping he can find a home by the end of the year. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs., and is still in California, but can be transported to you in Montana soon. Please email for an application.
