Story
Meet Griffin! Griffin was brought to ICHS as a stray. This guy may be little but he sure has a big heart and a lot of love to give. "Sweet" is the adjective you'll hear the most when people are describing Griffin. This little guy loves to cuddle with our shelter staff and give as many "puppy" kisses as physically possible. Sometimes he can have his guard up when first meeting people, but it's really easy to win over his heart with just a few treats. However, it's best not to go in for pets when he is eating a treat, as Griffin can be food aggressive. Because of this he may do best in a home without children. He is still a sweet baby though. When Griffin isn't being a lap dog or receiving affection, he enjoys playing in our play yard. His favorite thing is to get the zoomies and run around the yard after the shelter staff. He doesn't really seem to have a favorite toy quite yet but he enjoys toys with squeakers the most. Griffin also enjoys working on his skills and currently knows "sit"! He might enjoy the reward of a treat a little more than actually learning the skill though. When it comes to other dogs, Griffin seems to like most of our dog residents. He seems to remain calm even around dogs who are not! If you're looking for a new best friend to snuggle up on the couch with or to go on leisurely strolls to say hi to the neighborhood pups with, consider putting in an adoption application for Griffin today!Weight: 21lbsActivity Level: Medium Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: White Age: 5yrs 10mths 3wks

Good with/Lived with:Dogs: Unknown.Cats: Unknown.Kids: Older 13+Activity Level: MediumWeight: 70-75 lbs.Housebroken: Unable to guarantee in the shelter environment. He may just need a refresher course.Admitted to the shelter in June of 2020 as an owner surrender.Oliver is a vocal pup that likes to talk and sing. When he's out of his kennel, he enjoys sniffing around and checking out his environment as typical hound mixes do. He likes to be pet and get attention. In the shelter environment, he seems to be scared of cats, but has made friends with other dogs through the fence. Due to his temperament, Oliver would do best in an adult home or a home with older children. If you're looking for a faithful companion, Oliver may be the one for you. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Age: 5yrs 4mths 3wks
