Story
Suki is a sweet girl who loves to explore outside and chase little critters in the yard. She loves to cuddle and is very loyal to her owners, but has anxiety and can be over-protective of them; she would do best in a home that doesn't have a lot of strangers coming in and out. She has some environmental and food allergies, controlled by medication and special food. Her owner loves her dearly, but due to significant health issues, is no longer able to take care of her. Very sad to lose Suki, please help us find her a happy home!

Story
Boomer is such a sweet and loving dog with the cutest underbite. I’ve had him since he was a puppy and he will turn 7 in just a few months. He loves to run around the yard and play with his sister Daisy! He gets along great with other dogs and cats as well. He does get excited and jumps when people arrive, but he is just so excited to see them!

Story
Daisy is the most loyal and sweet dog I’ve ever met. I rescued her as a puppy and she’s been with me for the last 6 years. She gets so excited when I come home, but does have some anxiety when I leave. She just wants to be with her person. She gets along with her brother Boomer, but doesn’t always get along with other dogs. She does great with cats. She can be shy and nervous when she meets new people, but once she warms up she is just the sweetest. She would probably do best as the only dog in the home or with her brother Boomer.

Story
Run D.O.G. is a 6 year old male. He unfortunately was part of another Bedford hoarding house. We are suspecting he will need help with house training. Otherwise, he is a very happy guy! He has a lot of energy and would be a great outdoor hiking companion or a sport dog. He is a food thief and will take advantage of short children and steal their food lol! He will need to learn some manners, or he will be counter surfing. We know his high energy will not be compatible with all dogs. He is unsure about cats so we are still testing him to see what we think.** RUN D.O.G. is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. In person applications take priority over ones mailed or emailed (especially on a popular animal). An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Mr. Sad Eyes is a 3 year old male. He is 58 lbs. He is a Shepherd mix. He needs time to warm up to new people so children should be old enough to understand he needs time and space. He cannot live with cats. He is dog selective but would probably do best as the only dog. ** Mr. Sad Eyes is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application.
