This resilient boy has a gentle spirit and Meet Uno, an 11-year-old ray of sunshine and beloved resident of the sanctuary. Rescued after spending over a year wandering alone along railroad tracks, Uno arrived with a severely matted coat and eyes scarred from prolonged exposure to the elements. He takes medications and Vitamin Supplements to help his eyes. Despite his rough past, Uno's spirit shines bright. He’s an incredibly happy boy who radiates love and joy to everyone he meets. His gentle heart, wagging tail, and ever-present smile remind us daily of the resilience of animals and the healing power of compassion. Uno truly lives up to his name—he’s one of a kind. So much love to give.

Olive came into a shelter down south pregnant and heartworm positive. She was fostered until her babies were born and weaned. Her babies were then transported to a rescue. For whatever reason, Olive didn't get to go with her babies and was taken back to the shelter where she wound up on the EU list. Chewy’s Hope fostered her, and she is a senior girl ready for a quiet retirement. She would do best as an only and with older kids. But whoever adopts her will have a great companion and lovely girl.

Story
Casper is a sweet 4-year-old who came to our sanctuary after his family was evicted from the only home he had ever known. Understandably, he was confused and anxious at first, trying to make sense of his new surroundings. Casper has very limited vision due to underdeveloped eyes, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! With time, patience, and lots of love, Casper has blossomed into a happy, well-adjusted little guy. He absolutely adores snuggles and playtime, and he never says no to a good nap in the warm sun. Casper’s also a big fan of mealtime—treats are his favorite! This resilient boy has a gentle spirit and so much love to give.

Great Pyrenees Belgian Malinois

Boyd, TX
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Waylon's story started on a quiet backroad, where he and his brother Willie were found abandoned—but despite his rough beginning, this sweet pup hasn't let it dim his spirit. Laid back at heart but always up for a good play session, Waylon strikes a perfect balance between calm companion and playful pup. He’s incredibly friendly, thrives on human attention, and will gladly soak up all the love and pets you’re willing to give. Waylon is also an excellent little watchdog. He’s naturally alert and observant, always keeping an eye on his surroundings, which makes him a great "alarm dog" (without being overly vocal or reactive). DNA test (see in comments) indicates he has a great heritage bringing together the loyal, protective nature of a guardian breed with the smarts and charm of a working dog. Waylon is looking for a forever home where he can be safe, loved, and part of the family. Could that be with you?

Story
Willie’s journey began on a lonely backroad, where he was found abandoned alongside his brother, Waylon. Life didn’t start out easy for this sweet boy, but he’s learning that people can be kind—and he’s opening up more every day. Willie is a little more cautious than his brother at first. He may hang back when meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness, he warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate. Once he trusts you, he’s a loyal and loving companion who’ll stay close by your side. Willie is also a natural watchdog—always alert and observant. He’s not aggressive, but his sharp eyes and steady presence make him a great "alarm dog" for your home. DNA test (see in comments) indicates he has a great heritage giving him a wonderful mix of intelligence, devotion, and protective instinct. He’s looking for a home that understands that trust takes time—and that love, once earned, is worth everything. Could you be the one to show Willie what forever feels like?
