Story
Meet Panda — Your Adventure Buddy with a Soft, Cuddly Side If you’re looking for a young dog who blends playful energy with genuine sweetness, Panda might just be your perfect match. At only 7 months old, Panda already shows the heart of a best friend: affectionate, eager to learn, and always ready for his next adventure — followed by a well-earned nap in the grass. Panda is a Dogo / Blue Nose Pit mix, currently about 52 lbs and expected to grow to around 90 lbs. He’s a big puppy with an even bigger personality: goofy, cuddly, curious, and highly trainable. Panda at a GlanceAge: 7 months Gender: Male Size: 52 lbs (expected to grow larger) Temperament: Sweet, playful, adventurous, eager to learn, total goofball Energy Level: Medium–high (loves playtime, walks, exploring, then relaxing) Good with Dogs: Yes — currently best friends with his foster’s English Bulldog Good with People: Absolutely — very affectionate and loves human attention Training: Potty trained, also does well in a crate (used only a couple hours a day) Panda came to us after being found living on the streets with a homeless man and two other dogs — his mom and older brother. When we had the chance to give him warmth, stability, and love, we stepped in to foster him while he waits for his forever family. In foster care, Panda has shown just how adaptable he is. He enjoys playing tug-of-war, running around with canine friends, and also happily entertaining himself with toys or soaking up one-on-one time with his people.  He’s shown a tiny bit of jealousy when multiple dogs compete for the same person’s attention, but with gentle guidance, he’s already improving and is expected to do great long-term in a multi-dog home. Panda’s Ideal HomePanda would thrive in a home with or without other dogs.  He’ll do best with:Plenty of attention and affectionRegular exercise and playtimeA family excited to continue his trainingBonus points for a yard — Panda loves being outside, chewing a toy in the grass, exploring, and taking cozy naps between adventures Panda is an agreeable, happy-go-lucky pup who just wants to belong. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will play hard, cuddle harder, and grow into an incredible lifelong friend, Panda is ready to meet you. Interested in adopting Panda? Story
Meet Boogie! A charming three-year-old Dogo Argentino mix currently living in Glendora, CA, whose big heart is as prominent as his 90-pound frame, and whose white coat with bold black patches makes him a true standout. Boogie’s story hasn’t been easy, but through it all, he’s held onto his gentle spirit and zest for life. Rescued from a tough situation and lifted into safety by a compassionate chain of humans, Boogie is now looking for his next adventure. A new loving home where he can be someone’s loyal hiking buddy, snuggle partner, and full-time best friend! Playful and affectionate, Boogie has a goofy side that shines brightest when he’s splashing in the pool, chasing squeaky pig toys, or trying to wrap his giant paws around you in one of his signature full-body hugs! He’s a natural with older kids who can match his playful energy (and sturdy build), and he absolutely adores spending time with people. Whether it’s lounging on the couch or exploring the outdoors, he’s happiest when he’s by your side. Boogie is dog-selective and has a history of aggression toward other dogs, including a quick bite during a past interaction. Because of this, Boogie needs to be the only pet in the home. Boogie is house-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. While he hasn’t had formal training, he knows “sit” and learns best through positive reinforcement, especially when snacks are involved! He’s fine being left alone for short periods but truly blossoms when he gets consistent human interaction and time to bond. What makes Boogie unforgettable is his unwavering gratitude. He radiates love, even after all he’s been through. This big baby isn’t just looking for a place to stay, he’s looking for a new family to love, protect, and grow with. Could your heart and home be the next stop in Boogie’s remarkable journey? To learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com. Boogie’s tail is already wagging at the thought!

Story
Marco was surrendered by his owner because they were unable to care for him properly. He had to be kept from another dog on the property, and he ended up in several fights, with injuries. The minute he came here, he was a happy, sweet boy, full of energy.Marco is a super loving dog who doesn’t know his size and strength and was never trained properly with boundaries for safety. These breeds get a bad reputation because they often serve as simply a guard dog, when they are so much more. Will he detour strangers from entering your home, yes, absolutely, but he’d prefer to do it from a couch or a comfy dog bed and not chained up or left outdoors consistently. He would also enjoy a large yard where he could run and play and if there is proper shelter, he could be part of our Outdoor Explores Club.Marco will need obedience training after being adopted. Our experienced volunteers are working with him now and he is responding well to positive re-enforcement. He should have continued training until the adopter is confident that their cues and commands are observed and followed by him.He is not crazy about other dogs currently, yet we continue to safely try with our play groups to see if there is certain type of dog that he is partial to. For now, he would need to be the only PET in the home. We are unsure if he has been around children, so a meet and greet is a must. Not a first time dog for anyone, experienced only!2/9/26 making good progress in the play group with other bigs!

A home where understanding and compassion thrive, creating an environment where I can truly flourish.Contact SPARC to set up a meet-and-greet – let`s create a chapter of our tale that`s filled with understanding, patience, and the promise of a connection that heals and uplifts. Story
Meet RoxyRoxy is a sweet, strong-minded girl with a calm, easygoing personality who is looking for a home that appreciates a more relaxed companion. While she enjoys getting outside, Roxy is more of a short-walk kind of dog who prefers leisurely strolls over long adventures. She’s happiest when life moves at her pace.At the shelter, Roxy has become a staff favorite thanks to her affectionate nature and steady presence. She has been making positive progress and recently formed a friendship with Juniper, showing that she can enjoy the company of the right dogs.Roxy is dog-selective and does best with larger male dogs, particularly those with calm or balanced temperaments. Thoughtful introductions are important for her success, and she would thrive in a home that understands canine social dynamics.Roxy bonds deeply with her people and enjoys close companionship, relaxed routines, and plenty of affection. She is food-motivated, which makes her receptive to training and continued learning.Due to her preferences and comfort level, Roxy would do best in a home without young children, where she can enjoy a calm, predictable environment.Roxy is looking for a stable, understanding home where she can enjoy comfort, companionship, and quiet routines. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-energy dog with a big heart, Roxy may be the perfect fit.

Story
I have been waiting for my family for a year and a half. Search Dog Foundation found me at the shelter and thought I might enjoy becoming a Search and Rescue dog, but once I got there and saw all the squirrels, I had a different job in mind: protect the humans from the squirrels! I love bouncing around, running trails, and training with my favorite humans, especially if they have a nice bag of cheese in their training pouch. I can file my own nails, sit in a swivel chair, and even climb trees! I love being active and can't wait to find a family that will appreciate all the funny quirks about me!
