Story
Meet Boogie! A charming three-and-a-half-year-old Dogo Argentino mix currently living in Glendora, CA, whose big heart is as prominent as his 90-pound frame, and whose white coat with bold black patches makes him a true standout. Boogie’s story hasn’t been easy, but through it all, he’s held onto his gentle spirit and zest for life. Rescued from a tough situation and lifted into safety by a compassionate chain of humans, Boogie is now looking for his next adventure. A new loving home where he can be someone’s loyal hiking buddy, snuggle partner, and full-time best friend! Playful and affectionate, Boogie has a goofy side that shines brightest when he’s splashing in the pool, chasing squeaky pig toys, or trying to wrap his giant paws around you in one of his signature full-body hugs! He’s a natural with older kids who can match his playful energy (and sturdy build), and he absolutely adores spending time with people. Whether it’s lounging on the couch or exploring the outdoors, he’s happiest when he’s by your side. Boogie is dog-selective and has a history of aggression toward other dogs, including a quick bite during a past interaction. Because of this, Boogie needs to be the only pet in the home. Boogie is house-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. While he hasn’t had formal training, he knows “sit” and learns best through positive reinforcement, especially when snacks are involved! He’s fine being left alone for short periods but truly blossoms when he gets consistent human interaction and time to bond. What makes Boogie unforgettable is his unwavering gratitude. He radiates love, even after all he’s been through. This big baby isn’t just looking for a place to stay, he’s looking for a new family to love, protect, and grow with. Could your heart and home be the next stop in Boogie’s remarkable journey? To learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com. Boogie’s tail is already wagging at the thought!

Story
Stroller king coming through! Opus is ready to turn heads with you as he takes on the world from his chariot. Whether it’s a trip to the beach, a brewery patio hang, or a walk (on wheels) around the neighborhood, Opus just loves to be invited. And he creates a fan club no matter where he goes. When he’s not winning friends and influencing people on his many adventures, Opus is a dog of simple pleasures at home. He loves to snuggle with his foster family, join in on kitchen dance parties, and sunbathe. He lives with other large dogs who he loves to play and rest with, and he has even paid it forward by being a big brother to many little foster puppies throughout his time in our program. About that stroller: Opus had a rough start to his life and sustained some injuries that have reduced his mobility. He’s able to get around the house, but will need your help with a few daily activities. And Opus does have some preferences about architectural design—due to his mobility, he would prefer a home with minimal stairs and a yard for his lounging pleasures. If life alongside one of the most charming and resilient dogs in town sounds like your style, Opus would love to meet you.

Story
Meet Jingle Name: Jingle DOB: April 23, 2025 Current Weight: 45 pounds (medium sized dog) Health: Healthy, fully vaccinated, spayed Jingle is a sweet, soulful young girl with a gentle sparkle in her eyes and a heart full of love waiting to be shared. She has a thoughtful, affectionate nature and a playful curiosity that makes her a joy to be around. Whether she’s quietly observing the world or happily joining in on the fun, Jingle brings warmth, calm, and happiness wherever she goes. Personality Jingle is affectionate, attentive, and deeply people-oriented. She loves being near her humans and thrives on reassurance, praise, and connection. She has a soft, loving side that shows during cuddle time and a playful, energetic side that comes out during walks, games, and exploration. She’s eager to learn, responsive to guidance, and already showing signs of becoming a loyal, devoted companion. This intelligent and athletic mix offers the perfect balance of brains and heart. Smart, alert, and eager to learn Loyal and bonds closely with their family Active and thrives with both physical and mental stimulation Does best with routine, structure, and positive reinforcement Expected to be medium to large in size once fully grown This breed mix is ideal for adopters who enjoy engagement, training, and building a strong human–dog bond. Owner Responsibilities Jingle will need: Daily exercise and enrichment to keep her happy and balanced Continued training with patience and positive reinforcement Consistency, routine, and gentle leadership Plenty of time, love, and inclusion as part of the family She is still growing emotionally and physically and will flourish most with an adopter committed to guiding her through puppyhood and adolescence. ⚠️ Things to Consider Before Adopting Before bringing Jingle home, please thoughtfully consider: Your time and ability to commit to training and companionship Your living situation, including landlord approval and space Long-term plans such as moving, work changes, or travel The financial responsibility of food, vet care, training, and enrichment The reality of adopting a young dog who is still learning and growing Adoption is a lifelong promise — not just for today, but for every stage of her life. Vet Care Although Jingle is healthy, vaccinated, and spayed, adopters should schedule a visit with their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption to establish care and support a smooth transition. The 3-3-3 Rule (Very Important!) First 3 days: Jingle may feel overwhelmed as she adjusts to new sights, sounds, and people — patience and reassurance are essential. First 3 weeks: She’ll begin learning your routine, building confidence, and understanding what it means to belong. First 3 months: Trust deepens, her true personality shines, and she’ll know she is finally home. This adjustment period is normal and requires time, consistency, and love. Why Jingle Will Be an Amazing Addition Jingle is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart and stays there forever. She’s loving, loyal, and eager to grow alongside her person. With guidance, patience, and commitment, she will become a devoted companion — one who offers comfort, joy, and unwavering love every single day.
