Story
Hello! I am Sofia! I am a shy young lady who is looking for a quiet home without children under 12. I can be nervous in new places and with new people but once I am comfortable I am affectionate and friendly! I arrived at the shelter with my young kittens and now that they have gone off to their homes I am looking for a family of my own. I would love a slow intro to any cats in the home and can`t wait to meet you!

Story
This cat is recommended as a Barn Cat because we have observed that s/he appears to be unfamiliar and uncomfortable with people. We believe that this cat is accustomed to living, likely with other cats, in a protected outdoor environment and may enjoy living in a barn or other outbuilding. Because, upon adoption, the environment will be a new one for this cat, there is a specific five-week acclimation process to help this cat remain safe in his new home. We recommend adopting another cat for companionship during and after this acclimation process. In time, this cat may even warm up to new people and may later enjoy time and attention.

Story
Jeter: ~7.5 year old neutered male, $150 Jete was named after the baseball player because his polydactyl paws make him look he has has baseball mitts for feet! He was surrendered recently due to scratching the human kids in the house. Unfortunately rehoming the kids wasn't an option and his family knew he'd be happier in a quiet home with no kids. He is a very sweet and loving cat, but like most cats, he will be shy at first with new people. He loves to curl up on a lap, loves treats (ham included!), and likes to be around adults that he knows. He loves to be petted, but not picked up. Jeter coexisted with another cat and dog in his previous home, but was not friends with them. We think he would prefer to be an only-pet or might be OK with a chill housemate who keeps to themselves. He loves lasers and will play with them for hours! Jeter is used to both wet and dry food daily. Apply at cokittycoalition.com to meet him in Loveland! ##2334819##
