I found ginger at a shelter when I freshly bought my first apartment, he is about 5 years old now. I’m looking for a home that can give him all the cuddles and love he deserves. He is a very shy guy at first but with a few days of warming up to he’s the sweetest cat. He’s very friendly with my toddler and loves all the pets and food he can get. He also has a sister that I’m wanting him to be homed with.

Carlton is a sweet, 11 year old house trained cat. He has beautiful long orange and white fur and loves a good brush down and petting session. He is neutered and has no special needs. Carlton hides from our Sheepdog most of the time, but is good with our Poodle. He is a family guy, but we are worried about him making our big move to TX. We will be staying somewhere temporarily and we fear it will be too much change. He is indoor only, so one move from our house to his new forever home is likely the best scenario for him. I found Olive as a stray at my office in Aurora. I feed the strays there a provide shelter if needed. I could tell she wasn't feral like the others so I got a carrier and had her checked out at my vets office. She was spayed but not chipped. She has been chipped and is up to date with her shots. She is a shy cat and they estimate her to be 2 to 3 years old. She has not adjusted to our dog, Emmett or my husband. Emmett 156 lbs and she is frightened of him. She is going to the basement bedroom where she can hide under the bed. Otherwise, I have her in the master bedroom where she can hide in the closet. I think she needs a quiet home without any other animals. She is very sweet and loves to snuggle with me at night. I was out of town for 10 days and I have to start al over with her to gain her trust and get her back upstairs. This is no way for a house cat to live. I am hoping to find a quiet household for her so she can live the life she deserves.

Olive is a sweet, spunky 8-year-old with soft, fluffy black fur and stunning green eyes. As staff favorite, she’s playful, energetic, and just a little mischievous (Okay maybe she's a bit more than a little bit... But who doesn't love mischief?)! Though she had a rough start in life, she’s now full of personality and ready for a home of her own. She likes cat nip and while she's not super playful, she will often take a nice walk on her cat wheel from time to time. Olive's ideal home will be one with no other pets and children only 16 years and up. She is a diabetic kitty and will require her adopter to be able to give her insulin twice a day, special prescription food, and regular glucose monitoring. CCS staff makes things easy for potential adopters by giving an in depth lesson on how to treat diabetes in cats and will be happy to show a new adopter the ropes! Meet a Lonely Hearts Club Member! Looking for an extra-special kitty? Our Lonely Hearts Club highlights cats who deserve a little extra love and attention.
