Story
More than 80% of orange cats are males, and we are fortunate to have these 2 gorgeous orange girls that fall into the small percent of orange cats that are female. Butters and Honey are beautiful orange cats that were surrendered to us by the family when their owner passed away from old age. Unfortunately, none of the family members could keep them. Butters is quite a bit younger than Honey, and we believe she could have been Honeys kitten. She is only about 10-12 months old. Butters is also smaller than Honey and only weighs about 7-8 pounds. She loves to roll on her back for belly rubs whenever she’s near you. Butters absolutely loves her ears being rubbed and will let you pet her for hours. She is very much a lap cat, as well as Honey is. The foster brags about how so very sweet both girls are. Honey is about 2-3 years old and a long hair beauty. Honey is amazing. When we got her we didn’t know she was pregnant and within 2 weeks, we had 4 beautiful newborn kitties! Not only was she the BEST mom, she took on not 1, not 2, but FOUR more kittens that their mom died, and they needed a nursing mom to survive. She nursed 8 kittens, 4 not hers, and loved them all like her own. Now that she is kitten free, Honey loves to get pets and even has toys she can play with, that she enjoys playing with, and she doesn’t have to compete with her kitties. When she isn’t playing, she is napping, and she loves a nice lap to lay in! Both cats are soooo so docile. All they want to do is be next to or with their humans. Honey and Butters LOVE to be held and carried around. If you’re lonely, either Butters or Honey would make WONDERFUL companions. They are not bonded and do not have to stay together. Both are GREAT with other cats They have lived with dogs and have no issues with dogs They do good with children Love to be held 100% Lap Cats Litter box Trained Butters and Honey are spayed, microchipped, current on feline distemper and feline leukemia vaccinations, dewormed, will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian and the adoption fee DOES NOT INCLUDE transport to the location this post is in. The fee varies depending on which transport company we use. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Smurfette 2 1/2 years old beautiful sweet girl. She is the Biggest Lap cat there ever was. She will sit in your lap until you physically put her down. She is so loving and wants lots of Attention from her human. She just wants to be with someone all the time. Would make a wonderful Emotional support animal for someone. She is very quiet and lazy. Very tidy with her food and liter. She’s ok with other cats after slow acclimation but would do great as an only child.  Smurfette is Indoor only and looking for her furever home. ##2552508##

Story
April: The Fluff Queen Who’s Spent 1,430+ Days Waiting to Rule Your Heart! 👑🐾 Hey there, hooman. I’m April—a fluffy, fabulous feline with a BIG personality and a royal presence, and I’ve been patiently waiting over 1,430 days (yep, that’s almost 4 years!) for my forever castle. I’ve got my crown polished, my sass dialed in, and my purrs ready—now I just need you. Let’s get one thing straight: I’m an independent lady. I enjoy affection, but only when I decide it’s time for royal snuggles. Not in the mood? You’ll get “the look” (don’t worry—you’ll know it when you see it). I’m not a fan of being picked up either, but once we’ve built trust, you’ll be rewarded with head bonks, chin scritches, and the occasional purring approval. What do I love? 👯‍♀️ Other cats! I’m a social gal—just on my terms. I do best with fellow felines who are gentle, friendly, and understand that I like a slow hello. Once I feel comfy, I’m all about playtime, naps, and squad hangs. A home with another respectful cat buddy? Yes, please. What I’m not into: 🚫 Chaos, loud noises, or tiny humans. 🚫 Being picked up like a sack of potatoes (I have royal dignity, after all). 🚫 Being rushed—patience wins this queen’s heart. I thrive on routine and love knowing what to expect—give me a sunny spot, a cozy perch, and some time to warm up, and I’ll show you my sweet, silly side. My journey hasn’t been the easiest (I was once a sick little street cat), but with love and care, I’ve grown into a playful, curious, and affectionate girl… on my terms, of course. April’s Fun Facts: ✨ 1,430+ days of shelter life, still waiting for my happily ever after ✨ A total softie—inside and out ✨ Loves respectful cat friends, playtime, and cozy vibes ✨ Perfect for a patient, cat-savvy human who respects her space ✨ A beautiful mix of sass, sweetness, and smarts Ready to give this independent queen her long-overdue castle? If you’ve got a calm home, a big heart, and a little patience, April’s ready to give you her whole (fluffy) heart. Let’s end her wait—she’s more than earned her happily ever after. 💛 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
🪄 Merlin: Wizard of Whiskers & Snack Time 🪄 Meet Merlin, a dashing long-haired tuxedo (around 1.5–2 years old) who’s mastered the ancient magic of being very handsome and knowing it. He’s a friendly guy who enjoys human attention and coexisting with other cats—but prefers them more as roommates than besties. Snuggle sessions and wrestling matches are strictly optional. Merlin can get a little overstimulated and may give a polite (but firm) nip when he’s done, so he’s best suited for a cat-savvy home with kids 12+ who understand when a wizard needs his space. Read the signals, respect the fluff, and you’ll be golden. Now let’s talk about Merlin’s true passion: food. This boy is a certified foodie who believes treats are a love language and mealtime is the most magical moment of the day. If you’re looking for a charming, fluffy companion with personality, boundaries, and a healthy appreciation for snacks, Merlin might just be your spellbinding match. 🖤🐾✨ Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
Meet Sydney ✨ Sydney is a gorgeous long-haired dilute calico with the softest fur, the sweetest face, and a personality to match. Around 2–2.5 years old, she is equal parts silly, playful, and full of love—the kind of cat who happily greets everyone she meets and quickly becomes unforgettable. Sydney knows what it’s like to be loved. She was previously adopted and thrived in her home, adored her human, and even enjoyed the company of her feline sibling. Sadly, when her owner began packing for a move, the sudden change was overwhelming for Sydney. She started peeing outside the litter box and was returned to the shelter soon after. Understandably, her little heart was broken 💔. Because Sydney matters, the shelter team left no stone unturned. She received a full veterinary workup, including medication trials, food trials, multiple urinalyses, and an ultrasound. While she has had some intermittent blood in her urine, all tests have shown her to be otherwise completely healthy, and veterinarians believe her condition is idiopathic—often linked to stress. The good news? Once back in a stable environment, Sydney bounced right back. She has been using the litter box 100% of the time at the shelter, just as she did during the first several months in her previous home. Her sweet, outgoing personality shines through every single day. Sydney is looking for a calm, stable forever home—one where life is predictable and changes are minimal. She would do best with an understanding family who can support her if she ever has a flare-up and help her get back on track. While she doesn’t need to be an only pet, a low-key home with one friendly, playful cat who enjoys snuggling could be a wonderful match. Confident, affectionate, playful, and endlessly lovable—everyone at the shelter knows Sydney, because she makes sure of it. All she needs now is someone willing to love her as deeply as she loves in return. 💗 Sydney isn’t broken—she’s just sensitive and incredibly special. Could you be her forever?
