Story
Winter is a stunning senior lady! This 12-year-old is independent and likes to keep to herself most of the time but that's not to say that she's not curious about what's going on around her. She just prefers to watch from a distance. She loves mealtime and treats, and chasing her ribbon wand toy.  Unfortunately, Winter tested positive for both Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). There is no cure for FeLV and we don't know how much longer we have with this sweet lady! If you'd like to learn more about FeLV and FIV in cats, please refer to the links below: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-leukemia-virus https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Winter also had some mammary tumors that turned out to be grade II carcinomas. While the tumors were completely excised, there was vascular invasion which means that there is cancer floating around in her bloodstream waiting to land and take root somewhere. Winter is a hospice cat and we're looking for a loving and patient home for her where she can continue to live out the rest of her days in peace. With a slow and proper introduction, Winter would do okay with another FeLV positive cat. She is currently being fostered in Brighton. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats.  I'm Sycamore, a gorgeous, loving, and playful boy. I am missing my left eye, but that does not slow me down -- I've got enough love and playful spirit to make up for it! I love a good game of chase, followed by a cozy lap session.  I go nuts for pampering - petting and brushing sessions – nothing makes me purr louder!  I'm never happier than when I'm with a friend. Being alone? Not my thing.  I will need a lot of social time with another cat or a human.  I get along well with cats and kids, and have no known exposure to dogs. I am 9 months old and in great health. Need a tree-mendously loving cat who will leaf a mark on your heart? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. Adoption fees are $325 for kittens under a year, $600 per pair $250 for cats 1-11 years, $175 for cats 12+ years   CaRMaH is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson MA area and beyond. Story
Bubbles is a very handsome 3-year-old boy who was found as a stray. Initially timid around humans, we saw a remarkable transformation once introduced to other cats. He absolutely loves and needs a cat or two! He started to directly rub on the other cats and to trust us after that. He may initially flinch at touch, but it doesn't last long and he loves it! Especially some butt scratches or even a belly rub. Mealtime is a serious affair for Bubbles, often punctuated by some meows to capture attention. Bubbles is also quite playful, enjoying play sessions with both his feline companions and humans, but occasionally, he needs to run the show. For that reason, it will be best for him to be in a household with confident cats who can return his playful energy, and not with a shy cat. Bubbles is now ready for his cat-friendly home with a forever family who can continue to show him how to behave with humans and enjoy play time with him. A quiet home without children will be best for him, as he can be nervous around too much movement. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Bubbles, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Bubbles.
