Story
Hi there, I'm Baby Boy. I was surrendered to HOPE when my owner was unfortunately moved into assisted living after months in the ICU. Her daughters took care of me and my 5 roomies but it couldn't last long term. We were all very, very loved though! I'm a shy guy, that's just how I've always been. I am the more confident of my siblings Gracie and Blackie, though. Our Mama Kitty is a little shy too. I'd probably do best in a calm home with a nice quiet place to adjust. It'll take some time but I would totally repay your patience with love as soon as I'm warmed up! I've always been sweet for the people here at the shelter.

Story
Simba is a lovely boy who is about four years old. He walked into my life while I was living in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is the only surving kitten from a litter of 5. I took care of him while he was suffering with a upper respiratory infection as a kitten. None of his siblings survived except him. Since then we grew attched. He is an outdoor -indoor cat mainly. I had to move to Kansas City for a job and my apartment does not allow outdoor animals at all. I thought I could try to make Grey indoors completely but I failed. My lease ends in 10 months. It would be a huge burden for me to break it and face the consequnces. Grey cannot be indoors all the time. He likes to be indoor -outdoors as he pleases. He can use indoor litter box if he has to. He is very effecionate and shy and purs on me all the time. I would not leave him if I had the option. I am looking for someone to adopt him or keep him till I find a new apartment. I am happy to sponsor their food other expenses throughout.

Story
Meet Derek! Once a scrappy little feral, Derek has traded the wild life for cozy naps and playtime—and he’s loving it. Derek came to the shelter in great health and with a big personality. He’s outgoing, curious, and always up for a game of chase or a good window perch session. He’s full of kitten energy, but also knows when to take a break and just vibe. He’s still figuring out all the perks of indoor life (like snuggles and snacks on demand), but he’s catching on quickly and winning hearts as he goes. Derek is ready for a home where he can keep growing, playing, and relaxing with his people. Got room in your heart for a little guy with a big spirit? Derek’s your dude. Call or message to make an appointment All kittens may still need shots and desexed however can be placed on hold. Until there treatment! ON HOLD

Story
I rescued this cat from unpleasant surroundings. She was in a home with two dogs another cat and two toddlers. She had her hair pulled her ears pulled her tail pulled and she finally started biting and scratching so she had been locked in a bedroom for 4 months. She was malnourished and matted and dirty. She is now well fed and clean, but will not stop biting and clawing. I have come to understand now that she was in a completely female household and the only person who could get close to her was the previous owner's father. I think she would do great in only pet situation with a male or senior male owner. I am 70 years old and I've come to be afraid of her.

Story
Hi there! Iandamp;#39;m Ricky! andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m a very special kitty. You see&#44 I have diabetes. It is very well-controlled with easy daily insulin and special food&#44 but I wanted to make sure you knew about that ahead of time. The team here can explain what is involved and give you more information.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I am such a lovely cat. Iandamp;#39;m a little shy at the shelter where itandamp;#39;s noisy and scary&#44 but I spent a week in a quiet foster home and I was very outgoing and not afraid at all. I am super affectionate and love to be petted and combed. My hair is very long and silky so daily combing helps to keep it looking nice. I have a very loud purr motor.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m not the kind of cat that likes to climb and jump a lot. The diabetes has given me some very slight nerve damage in my back legs so Iandamp;#39;m not very athletic&#44 but itandamp;#39;s not painful at all. When Iandamp;#39;m not snuggling with you I like to sleep the day away in a soft hidey low to the ground.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;You might wonder about my left ear. Itandamp;#39;s a little crinkly--probably from an old injury. It gives me character.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m really ready to find my forever home with someone who wants a loving cat and is comfortable with managing my diabetes. Could that be you?andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love&#44 andlt;br/andgt;Ricky
