Story
When Smudgie came into foster, he was very scared and hid most of the time. Since then, he has blossomed into an affectionate, cuddly, and curious boy! He and his bonded sister, Smooches, are two peas in a pod. When she climbs on your lap, purring, Smudge is sure to follow with a matching purr of his own. He loves to be held like a baby and show off his floofy belly for rubs. Earning his trust will be the most rewarding gift you’ll receive, so don’t miss out on this sweet handsome boy. Smudge must go home with his sister, Smooches, so please consider this perfect pair!

Story
Name: ClawDeena Sex: Spayed F Weight: 8.2 pounds Approx Age: 9 Color: Black Med-Long fur (ClawDeena has been bathed and shaved, a development she would rather not discuss at the moment) Uniqueness: -One White Whisker -Deep, Baritone meow As a member of an outdoor colony in an NE Kansas City neighborhood, a beautiful black cat warmed up to a resident who was feeding the colony. The resident had observed that the cat was picked on by big bully cats in the colony. Although the resident had severe allergies and was soon selling his house to move to Chicago, when the weather turned frigid, he brought the cat in and named her ClawDeena. He immediately took ClawDeena to the vet and learned that she was already spayed and even chipped! However, the chip was old, and ClawDeena's owner could not be found. It was then assumed that ClawDeena was indeed a tame domesticated cat that had been lost or left behind years ago. Somehow, she had survived. As he was leaving KC, the man searched and found help from The Pet Connection for ClawDeena. ClawDeena took a long time warming up to her new foster mom. She was just scared and hid, and then the day came when she decided (or admitted) that she was indeed safe! She is now catching up from years of being alone. She is a total lovebug, wanting to be petted all the time. If you stop giving her attention, she will pat you with a paw. She loves playing and is smitten with interactive toys. And she really is a showoff after sniffing and enjoying catnip. You can pick her up, she loves sitting on your lap, and will sit by you for hours. She will show her affection (and claim you) by regularly rubbing against you! It may take a bit of time for her to get to know you, but when she does, you will have a wonderful, loving, constant companion. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on this precious girl. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
Meet Montee. She is a beautiful, sweet, affectionate, loving girl who deserves someone who will love her back with everything they've got. She craves attention from her human and would make an excellent lap kitty. While Montee has lived with another cat before, she doesn't want to share her home with another kitty who will be in her face, steal her toys, pay attention to her, walk around in front of her excessively, or monopolize your attention. So, really, Montee might be best as an only cat. She's good about using her scratching post and is fond of wand toys, so playing with Montee will be entertaining for both of you. Montee's looking for a new home because her mama suffered a catastrophic health emergency. She's been hospitalized since October 2023 and knows it isn't fair to Montee to keep being passed around while she works to recover. Montee's mama asked that we find Montee the very best home, so don't even bother applying if you aren't going to treat Montee like the fluffy princess that she is! Montee is about 9 years old, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you can help. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home.
