Story
Hello there&#44 Iandamp;#39;m Merlin&#44 a refined and seasoned gentleman of the feline persuasion. Iandamp;#39;ve been residing at this shelter since January 2024&#44 and I must confess&#44 Iandamp;#39;m starting to wonder if my forever home is just a fairy tale. You see&#44 Iandamp;#39;m a cat who appreciates the finer things in life and values his space. I thrive best in a home without dogs and with older children who can appreciate my vast wisdom and experience.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Though Iandamp;#39;ve never actually attended Harvard&#44 Iandamp;#39;d like to think I possess the same level of sophistication and knowledge as a graduate. I enjoy watching the world go by from a comfortable perch&#44 taking in my surroundings with a thoughtful gaze. Iandamp;#39;m not one for constant cuddles or incessant attention; I prefer a harmonious co-existence&#44 where my presence is appreciated but not demanded.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I enjoy observing the hustle and bustle of life from a cozy spot&#44 taking in the world with a discerning eye. Perhaps you could say I have a philosopherandamp;#39;s soul&#44 content to ponder the mysteries of the universe from the comfort of a sunlit windowsill. I can live with other cats&#44 though I might need a little time to get used to new feline friends. What I truly long for is a home with someone who desires a quiet companion to share in the simple pleasures of life. A warm spot in the sun&#44 a cozy corner to rest&#44 and the gentle hum of daily life are all I need.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;If you have a heart big enough to offer a home to a cat who values his independence yet enjoys the comfort of a loving environment&#44 I might just be the companion youandamp;#39;re looking for. I may not be a lap cat&#44 but I promise to be a loyal and thoughtful presence in your home&#44 always nearby&#44 ready to share in the tranquility and beauty of everyday moments. Letandamp;#39;s watch the world go by together.

Story
Hello&#44 Iandamp;#39;m Harriet. I was fending for myself outside at an apartment complex and one of the neighbors befriended me and brought me to the shelter. My luxurious long fur had become severely matted&#44 so right now I have a summer hair cut&#44 but it will grow back as beautiful as ever! Being on my own&#44 and now in a new strange place is very scary&#44 so I just donandamp;#39;t know what to make of it all yet. However&#44 I do love being petted and I especially love those Churu treats they feed me! Just give me a little grace and patience and we can be the best of friends!

Despite being FIV positive, she requires no special care-just a loving home where she can reign supreme. Here are some delightful details about her: Playful Enthusiasm: Demeter's playful spirit knows no bounds. She'll chase strings, bat at toys, and pounce on laser pointers. Cuddle Queen: When playtime winds down, Demeter transforms into a cuddle aficionado. She'll nestle close, purring both contentedly and loudly, she loves her lovins. Social Butterfly: Demeter craves companionship. She'll follow you around, ensuring she's always where her people are. Pet Etiquette: While she appreciates other pets, Demeter prefers her space. As long as they respect her boundaries, she'll tolerate their presence. Dramatic Discourse: Demeter is talkative! She'll express her desires in melodious meows, adding a touch of drama to everyday conversations. Royal Treatment: A semi-quiet home where she can bask in attention and be treated like the queen she is would be ideal for Demeter. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Snowball came into rescue almost 2 years ago. She was an older kitten, but super sick. Her foster home was asked to treat her for her upper respiratory infection, so that she could then be released back to her colony outside. Snowball was a feral kitten that was TNR'd (Trapped, fixed and to be returned). She wears a badge of honor for her life as a feral kitty. She has a tipped ear, which indicates to humans that she has been fixed. Her foster mom treated her infection only to find out that Snowball is deaf, or mostly deaf. Snowball's deafness makes her fearful, which confirmed to Snowball's foster mom, that she could not be released back to her colony. Her survival in the outdoor would be full of perils. Snowball loves the other kitties that have come and gone in her foster room. She needs a home with humans that understand that she will come to them in her own time. . Snowball loves churu treat, and she likes being petted when foster mom scoops her up! If Snowball could find a cat savvy home, maybe someone that has had a deaf kitty, that would be ideal. A home with another chill kitty that could guide her and head bump with her would also be great! Snowball is ready for the next phase in her life . Are you her match?

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Longhaired Lily wears the badge of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) kitty proudly, with her tipped ear indicating she's been fixed. She spent some time living outside, but thanks to the kindness of the community, she found her way to Meowy Matchmakers. Lily's journey to indoor life hasn't been easy, but her sweet nature and friendly demeanor have won her many admirers. Lily is a sweet and affectionate kitty with a heart of gold. She may have been a bit hesitant at first, but she's quickly warming up to the idea of indoor living. Lily loves attention and will happily engage in conversation with you, especially if it means she gets the answers she wants. She's a smart girl who knows what she likes! Currently, Lily is in a foster room with several other cats, but in her perfect forever home, she would be the center of attention. She's not too keen on sharing her space with other felines, so she'd thrive best as the only cat in the household. While she hasn't been around dogs, with a proper introduction, she may adjust well. Lily would do well in a home with older children, preferably over the age of 7, who can understand and respect her boundaries. She's a gentle soul who deserves a loving family to call her own. Providing her with a cat tower would be the cherry on top, as she loves to climb and explore her surroundings. Due to her longhaired coat, Lily will need to be brushed daily to keep her looking her best. But with her silky fur and captivating eyes, it's a small price to pay for the love and companionship she'll bring to her new home. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and make you laugh with her quirky personality, Longhaired Lily is the purrfect match for you!

Story
Mama Sandwich has spent a lot of time protecting her four babies from the world, so she isn't quite sure how to accept help and trust people. She loves wet food; that's the key to her heart. She keeps herself very clean and has imparted that cleanliness onto her kittens. She will likely do best in an adult-only, quiet household.

Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Lavender is a lovely, little, extra-fluffy, tabby girl. She is a shy little baby and takes a while to warm up to new people, but once she relaxes, she is a very snuggly little purr box.  She plays with her kitten siblings but likes to watch her foster family from afar. Lavender will do well in a forever home with a patient family and maybe a confident cat sibling, to help draw out her playful personality. This kitty should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Shadow is a sweet and loving 9 year old girl! She has the softest fur and loves to purr! She loves cuddles, cat naps, running and playing, looking out the window, and meal time. She is very friendly and adjusted to her foster home very well. She was sadly surrendered to our program when her Mom had to go into a nursing home. She was very loved for her first 9 years and it shows. She is an independent lady who’s happy to do her own thing but also loves to spend time with you. Shadow uses her litter box well and enjoys brushing. Given her long coat her family will need to perform regular brushing to keep this girl happy and healthy. If you are interested in meeting Shadow, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Cat and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. Hi! This is Paisley. Paisley is between 2-4 years old. We believe she might be a Maine Coon mix, but we’re not completely sure about that. She’s very playful and loves to be petted. She also doesn’t mind being picked up! She’s very chatty, as well. She’s overall a crazy but lovable cat that needs a home that will be able to keep up with her. We have four cats in our apartment that we rent, which is against our lease, so we need to re-home her ASAP. I think you’ll really love her!

Story
Our 6 year old cat, is needing a new home. Fair warning, he is a VERY anxious cat when forced to move, travel, etc. The sounds he makes are scary, but that is not him any other time. He will warm up to his new surroundings after a few days, and is pretty loving and personable once he gets to know his environment. I would suggest though, anyone who can possibly take him have space for him to be outdoors! We would list him for $0, but just had to pay $200 to get his vaccines and shots up to date because he's outside a lot, the $50 would help a bit if possible. We have a young baby and his constant outdoor interaction with other animals presents some issues for us when he is around the baby so much. Would 100% need to be sedated to move, we can get a vet prescription for this. Generally, does okay with other cats, but is territorial at first, takes some time to get comfortable. Tried to attach a picture, not sure why it won't upload but he's a pretty long haired gray and white cat.
