Story
Spayed FemaleAge: 3 YearsGrayDomestic Short HairA442434 More about Astrid: I am with Lilly, and we are known here as The Twins, although it is believed that we are mother and daughter. We LOVE each other very much, are always found playing or cuddling together, and we want to spend our lives together as a bonded pair. We are both playful and silly! We will need a slow introduction to our new home, litter box, and any existing pets while we settle in and become comfortable in our new surroundings. Due to the history of asthma for Lilly, we should not be exposed to a home where there is smoking, strong chemicals, or any irritants she could breathe in that could trigger an asthma flare-up. She is no longer symptomatic for asthma here at the shelter. Medical records will be available to potential adopters. I have a history of conjunctivitis, and Lilly has had eyelid surgery as well as a hernia. Our adopter should have a good relationship with a primary care vet, and establish care post-adoption should we require follow-up for any of these conditions. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Compatibility:Cats: Possibly - no history with other catsDogs: Possibly - saw a dog in the shelter and were curious, but became swatty when the dog became too much. A cat-savvy, mellow dog would be recommended.Kids: Yes

Story
Age: 1 YearMilo A444542 I came to the shelter with my litter mate Waybi but we do not need to go home together unless an adopter is looking for twice the fun, twice the love! We both have great history with other cats and could make a good companion. We both have good litter box manners, we have good history living with multiple other cats, we are good with guests and strangers because we love meeting people, and we have good history living with kids ages 8, 13, 16. I may be fearful during transition, so I should have a slow introduction to my new home, starting off in a small space with easy access to a litter box, and slowly open up more of the house as I settle in and become comfortable in our new surroundings. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Compatibility:Dogs: Possibly, no historyCats: YesKids: Yes

I have good history living with my brother, and I have good litter box manners. It can take me time to settle into new spaces, so I will need a slow introduction to my new home, litter box, and any existing pets while I settle in and become comfortable in my new surroundings. I am afraid of loud noises, so a calm, quiet home will be best for me. I am here with my brother Tux, so if an adopter is looking for two guys to provide double the fun and double the love, stop by to meet us! The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Story
Meet Mr. Oreo.  This very handsome man is 3 years old and a medium size cat.  He is good with other cats and likes people.  He is just a bit shy of new people when he first meets them.  He will let you pet him but not always.  He needs a patient mom and/or dad to help him over come this.  He was found as a stray dumped in the country in middle Tennessee.  He still needs to learn that he can trust humans again.  Miss Judith came to his rescue and Critter Cavalry stepped in to get him all the vet care he needed and to find him the purrfect forever home.  Will that be with you?  To help Oreo please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.July 18, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
MR SQUEAKY AND FRANKIE ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHERMr. Squeaky and Frankie are best of friends. They are both a little on the quieter side when you first meet them but once comfortable, they are the biggest love bugs. They love to cuddle together and often squeeze into the same bed or box to share. They love toys and playing with the laser light is very entertaining. These boys will bring lots of smiles to your home. They will not do well with dogs in the home. Quite often adult cats get overlooked as many people want the craziness of the kitten stage. However, keep in mind that kittens grow up fast. With an adult cat they have more life experiences, and they have more refined personalities. If you are thinking of adopting two cats it is an easier acclimation to your home with two cats that know each other and already get along well.Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal.Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal. If you would like to meet Mr. Squeaky and Frankie, please go to our website and fill out an online applicationwww.sarlnh.org

Story
Sweet Benny was born on a farm with lots of other cats that were not spayed or neutered. Luckily when they brought him to us he was very sweet and friendly and not skittish or scared. He had a minor eye injury that we treated and it healed very nicely. He has been neutered, is FIV/FeLV negative, litter box trained and fully vaccinated. We believe him to be part Russian Blue, his long coat is very luxurious! Benny is barely a year old and is ready for immediate transport OUR CATS AND KITTENS MUST NEVER BE DECLAWED OR ALLOWED TO GO OUTDOORS, EVER! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $250

Story
Hi my name is Darling Denna and I am about 7 years old and I have found myself looking for a new family because my owner is moving and she cannot take any of her cats. She's looking for a singular cat home with no other cats around but me. I can exist around dogs but I truly do not want other cats in my litter box or eating the same food that I eat or having to listen to them purrrr. I am diva enough and particular enough to want to own the entire house as my Cat Queen Kingdom.  I am a beautiful long hair black and white girl that is as beautiful to look at, as I am to love. I do like to be with you and I  like being loved on, but I will let you know when it is enough and I'm ready to have my 'alone' time. I really am royalty that I would love to come and hold court in your heart and home.  Please contact ccrnewengland@gmail.com to find out all about me.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 18, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Sunkist is a 5 month old sweet baby-girl looking for a new home. She is the cutest fluffy little girl and just so loving and affectionate. Sunkist is deaf but it doesn't slow her down! She is playful and cuddly and will lay in your arms like a baby.Sunkist has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), meaning she cannot live with other cats unless they are also FeLV+. You can learn more about Feline Leukemia Virus here:https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/feline-leukemia-virus-disease-complexWe believe she would do best with cat-savvy kids that know when to leave kitties alone. We are unsure how she may be with a dog, so if you have a pup please speak with staff about your dog's personality & we will see if they may get along. Follow the steps below to take home your new fuzzy friend! Our shelter is open every day except Monday from 12-4. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781, email info@lowellhumanesociety.org, or stop by the shelter to request an adoption application.
