What my friends at OHS say about me:Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!Sassy: I am a lively, bold and spirited kitty. I will need positive outlets for my energy, hands off playtime, a calm environment and the ability to make decisions on my terms.Fearful Behavior: I can be worried about new people or new surroundings. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to go home to a calm environment. I guess you could say I'm pretty "down-to-earth" - I like my feet on the floor! I can be sensitive to being picked up and held.My elevator butt goes all the way to the top floor! The type of home I'm looking for:It could be with you! Precious is Sponsored by Deb Flensborg.Hello there, I'm Precious. My years have taught me the value of independence and the joy of a quiet life. While I may be a bit shy, don't mistake that for lack of confidence. I know who I am, and I'm not afraid to show it. I may need some time to adjust to new surroundings, but that's just because I prefer to take things at my own pace. I'm not one for constant social interaction, but I promise you, when I choose to show my affection, it's genuine and deep. I arrived at the shelter already declawed, so I will not be a good mouser. Adopting me might require patience, but I assure you, the bond we could form would be worth every moment of waiting. If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.

Story
Adoption Fee: $85Arrival Date: 12/10/25Microchip #982091068269196Weight: 8.22lbsAnnie was found with her siblings in a briar bush, all the siblings were active, playful kittens, but Annie had faced some sort of trauma and was unable to use her back legs. This sweet girl was nothing but purrs! She started weekly acupuncture sessions and slowly she began to use her back legs. Her walk is a bit wobbly and although she tries, she often misses the litter box, but this special girl tries her very best. She is gentle, loving, and with a patient adopter, who is understanding of her unique needs and is willing to make accommodations, she will give lots of purrs, affection, and a love like no other!
