Story
Meet Stella, a friendly but fearless gal who is very independent but very lovable! This gorgeous kitty has lived with one person her entire life and may very well bond with one particular person in her new home. Stella is an indoor kitty, but she's accustomed to sunbathing and bird watching while supervised on the porch. It's a rough life, but someone has to live it. She likes being petted slowly and held, but when she's done, she's done. And the belly is strictly off limits. She's good when visitors call, goes about her usual business and will let them pet her. Stella likes playing with your socks, while you're in them, playing with your hands and batting around crackly toys. She's tolerant of children, was good with the male cat, but the dog spelled "trouble" for her with a capital "T" so she probably wouldn't appreciate living with a canine companion. Looking for a beauty to fall in love with? Stella could be the one. Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.

Story
******* In a TJO foster. Please call TJO and you will be connected with her fosterElla is a truly wonderful cat. She's a beautiful, quirky 5 year old girl looking for an experienced cat owner to be her forever person. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s friendly, chatty, playful, and loves to rub on your legs to show her affection. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll also toss herself on the floor in front of you and look adorable with her little white belly showing. The quirk is that Friski is very sensitive to touch, and only wants a few pets or chin rubs before she becomes over-stimulated. She needs someone in tune with her, who can read her body language and respects her boundaries while enjoying her love and companionship. She loves to `hunt` her wand toys, and daily play helps her release some of her nervous energy.Ella would do best as an only pet, as she isn't fond of other cats or dogs. She'd be happiest in an an adult only home as she likes things quiet and predictable. If you want to greeted at the door with a chatty kitty who runs to see you, but don't need a lap cat, please reach out about this adorable girl.OTHER PETS: Should be Only PetOWNER EXPERIENCE:Experience with kitties who become over=stimulatedKIDS:Adults onlyACTIVITY LEVEL:Couch Potato PlayfulVETERINARY CARE: RoutineLEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION:ModerateGROOMING:MinimalJune 22, 2024, 4:49 pm

Story
Slinky is a great kitty! He is incredibly active, busy, nosey, and into everything. Slinky would be happiest in a home where his humans have lots of time for engagement. He is dreaming of human(s) who love to hang with their cats!. Slinky loves other cats, however we have learned other cats do not like him! His presence alone annoys them. For this reason he is looking for a home where he can be the only cat. A cat friendly dog may be ok. Slinky is one of our Wound of Unknown Origin kitties. This means on his arrival our veterinarian found wounds on his foot which she believed were caused by another animal. Not knowing his rabies vaccination status, nor the status of the animal who hurt him, we are required by law to quarantine him for 4-months. This quarantine ensures whatever injured him did not pass on the rabies virus. In 2023, we took care of 44 WUO kitties!! These injuries are just one example of why we are committed to cats being indoors only.As with all of our kitties over 1 year, his adoption fee is $90.00 which includes: Slinky, his neuter, appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea prevent, Felv/FIV test, microchip, and we register the chip for you.OTHER PETS: No other kitties!OWNER EXPERIENCE: Some ExperienceKIDS:Adults onlyACTIVITY LEVEL:Super High EnergyVETERINARY CARE: RoutineLEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION:MinimalGROOMING:MinimalJune 22, 2024, 4:49 pm
