Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Asha. Asha came into rescue as a kitten dragging her back legs. She had received trauma to her back, it was actually fractured, infected and swelling. This was causing loss of use to her back legs. But after antibiotics and cage rest, she healed up. She has a little goofiness to her walk in a back leg but she gets around fine. She runs, plays and acts like any other cat. Older kids are recommended for her. She lives with other cats and dogs. She meets new cats and kittens and it can take her while to warm up, but she will keep her distance until she befriends them. She can be a talker, is super soft and loves attention. Asha is fully vaccinated, Fiv/FeLV negative, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $100. But for the month of September her fee is reduced to $50  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate June 14, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
Prosper and his brother Fai, are two EXTREMELY luckily little boys and their names mean "Lucky" or "Blessed" and that they both are. They were born in a factory in a box of parts. Their mother had JUST had them, three of them, they were wet in their birth sacks and the crate they were in was being lifted onto a truck to go to another factory. Mom just jumped out, the kittens were loaded by HiLo onto the back of an open truck and the wet kittens, who hadn't yet nursed or even gotten out of their birth sacks went on a 45-minute trip in the open air on a highway, to a factory in Howell and that is where we got the call that they found three cold wet kittens in a open crate on the truck. When we got there one had passed away and these two were icy cold. They rushed them to my house where I had two nursing mother kittens. My friend and I put them in our cleavages to warm them up as they were actually freezing to death and dying. We got them warm enough to get a peep of them and then got some supplements milk on their lips enough for the mothers to smell milk on their lips and started licking them and stimulate them and accepted them on their teets. These mothers already had nine kittens between them so two more we thought was impossible. Both mothers were only seven months old as it was. Within ten days these two boys were the same size as the three week old kittens that belonged to the mothers. These two lucky boys are so sweet and so personal able. They both are primarily white and tabby striping and Fai has some brownish rust coloring along his stripes. Beautiful coats. They never got to know their own mother, luckily Lotus and Crystal and their litters took them in and treated them not only like their own, they treated them as special. Lotus had lost her first born kitten who was born with his heart on the outside.....she was horrified and shut down immediately seeing him. I think she made it her mission to take these babies on and make sure they did as well as all the rest who survived. They are playful and hysterical to watch play. We are looking for a non smoking home, indoor only and someone with alot of love to give and in need of great companions. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com
