Story
I found Maxwell along the Hines Park bike path between 5 and 6 mile in Northville. After seeing him hanging around for quite some time and clearly wearing a collar, I decided to trap him, and I am glad I did. Unfortunately, he was in terrible shape. His old collar had become embedded in his neck, he was skin and bones. Over the past few weeks, with lots of vet care and attention, he has made amazing progress. He is young (around 6-7 months old) and is the sweetest, most grateful little guy. He was not microchipped. I’ve done my best to locate an owner, posting everywhere I could, but it really seems like he may have been dumped. Now, he’s ready for a fresh start and is looking for a loving forever home. He does not hide and greets you at the door and loves to bump your hand for attention ..but is afraid of other pets. He’d do best with someone who could offer him a lot of attention as an only kitty.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bailey – A Chatty Companion with a Heart Full of Love Bailey is a beautiful 10-year-old feline with a strong sense of independence and a soft spot for meaningful human connection—on her terms, of course. She’s a talkative girl who enjoys holding conversations with her favorite people, often chiming in with her own commentary and affectionate meows. Though she’s perfectly content cohabitating with other cats, Bailey doesn’t rely on them for companionship. Her ideal home is one where she can be the center of attention, receiving love and giving it back in her own unique way. Declawed earlier in life, Bailey must remain indoors for her safety. She’s in excellent health and still quite active, with a playful spirit and a curious nature. Her previous owners sadly had to move into an assisted living facility, and Bailey couldn’t join them—but she’s ready to start a new chapter with someone who appreciates her vibrant personality and loving heart. Bailey is more than just a pet—she’s a conversationalist, a loyal friend, and a wonderful addition to any home that values a cat with character.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139   This little girl is pure delight ! She is little and dainty and above all adorable . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Steve is a sweet but shy youngster who prefers quiet and calm.  Steve likes attention, but is still wary of hands because he tends to bonk his nose into them and he doesn't like that.  Steve interacts and plays well with his foster siblings.  Stev e came to Happy Days after finding himself at a local animal control organization.  Since then, he's had a "glow up," turning from a terrified kitten into a beautiful, sleek, healthy youngster. Steve was  born with cerebellar hypoplasia ("wobbly cat" syndrome), but he doesn't let it slow him down. CH is not a degenerative condition and does not cause suffering.  Steve can walk, groom, eat, drink, climb, play, and use the litterbox.  He is wobbly and sometimes falls down but he pops right back up again.  He has excellent control over his situation and doesn't require any special accommodations aside from a high-sided, walk-in litterbox, which he uses faultlessly and without fail.  Steve is not a large kitty and it is   unlikely that he will get any bigger.  H e is neutered, microchipped , vaccinated, and dewormed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bobbi (aka Bobb) is a sweet but sassy youngster whose zoomy antics will have you laughing out loud!  Bobb prefers sleeping on the bed, thank you.  She likes attention and will tell you with a charming, quiet purr.  She plays well with her foster siblings and will unashamedly enforce boundaries when other kitties are too mean. Bobb was born with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH aka "wobbly cat" syndrome). Bobb came to Happy Days after finding herself in a crowded West Virginia shelter. As luck would have it, we at Happy Days love CH kitties! Since coming to Happy Days, she's had a Cinderella-esque "glow up," turning from a scrawny, terrified kitten into a beautiful, sleek, healthy youngster.   Bobb doesn't let her CH slow her down. CH is not a degenerative condition and does not cause suffering.  Bobb can walk, groom, eat, drink, climb, play, and use the litterbox.  She is wobbly and sometimes falls down but she pops right back up again.  She has excellent control over her situation and doesn't require any special accommodations aside from a high-sided, walk-in litterbox, which she uses faultlessly and without fail.  Bobb is tiny and weighs under  10 lbs. It's  unlikely that she will get any bigger.  Bobb is microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. She will be spayed prior to adoption.
