Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. What’s going on? I’m Kabuki! I am an adorably curious wiggle-butt who loves playing with toys and following you wherever you go! I just want to see what you are doing and if I can help! I love exploring and purr a lot when you show me attention. I was found in a wooded field all on my own, but I get along great with other cats. I love wrestling and cuddling with my best friend Kodama. I seem to have an allergy to chicken, so I primarily eat fish based meals. I’d love to join your family and play with my furry friends. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Story
Meet Wookie, a sweet and friendly adult cat with a heart as warm as his personality! His mellow nature makes him the perfect companion for quiet evenings, and his gentle curiosity will bring a smile to your face as he explores his surroundings. Despite his independent spirit, Wookie is always ready for a cuddle, proving that bravery and softness can indeed go hand in hand. This floofy feline has an abundance of love to give and is eager to find a forever home where he can share it. Adopting Wookie means gaining a loyal friend who will brighten your days with his charming demeanor and loving heart!Wookie has been diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This disease is not curable, but he can still live a very long and healthy life! FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds and is unlikely to be spread through sharing of water bowls or other close contact. Friendly cats who develop stable relationships without fighting are at minimal risk of transmission, so slow introductions are highly recommended!

Story
Meet Skeeter! This cute young fella arrived at the shelter after his previous owner unfortunately passed. He and his house mates have had a very hard time settling into life in the shelter and are looking forward to find their new forever homes! Skeeter is an unsure, nervous guy here. He likes to hide, he isn`t the most outgoing, and he isn`t always thrilled about meeting people. But little by little, he shows us more and more how sweet and affectionate he can be! Skeeter is a friendly guy, if nothing else, he`s independent and low key, simply enjoying the little things like bird watching and sunbathing. But when he`s ready to open up, he`ll be you best friend!Skeeter`s housemate, Doug Funnie, spent a short time in an adopted home and his adopters had nothing but great things to say! He settled in quickly, making the home his own and exploring every corner! He was social, sweet, almost needy! He was playful and outgoing, a curious guy you would never think was labeled `fearful` or `sensitive` in the shelter. We can reasonably assume that Skeeter will be similar given they have similar personalities in the shelter. Skeeter just needs someone to give him a chance... could that someone be you?Skeeter`s ideal home:-Older kids-Social resident cats-Patient adopter
