Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Mama (Wilma) is a sweet beautiful affection kitty cat.  She is almost 7 years old and weighs approximately 12 pounds.  She is a little skittish at first (startled by loud noises) but once she gets used to her situation and warms up to her family, she turns into a velcro cat.  She will want to sit on your lap (if sitting) or on your chest (if laying) all the time.  She will sleep with her human every night.  She loves having her head and chin scratched for as long as you are willing to scratch. That being said, Mama is very skittish.  She does not like loud noises and is not a big fan other cats, other than her son Cody.  I think it is important that they stay together for their comfort.  Once she warms  up to you, she is a lovely affection cat.  It will take someone with patience and understanding. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Cody (Cootie) is a beautiful loving big ole’ gentle giant!  He is a 15 lb, 4 ½ year old big orange Tabby.  He has the loudest purrrrr I have ever heard.  He loves head scratches, belly scratches, butt scratches and laying on your lap or chest.  He likes to play with string and loves all of his little stuffed animal toys and wand toys.  That being said, Cody is very skittish.  He does not like loud noises and is not a big fan other cats, other than his momma.  I think it is important that they stay together for their comfort.  Once he warms  up to you, he is a lovely affection cat.  It will take someone with patience and understanding. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. What’s going on? I’m Kabuki! I am an adorably curious wiggle-butt who loves playing with toys and following you wherever you go! I just want to see what you are doing and if I can help! I love exploring and purr a lot when you show me attention. I was found in a wooded field all on my own, but I get along great with other cats. I love wrestling and cuddling with my best friend Erebus. I seem to have some food allergies, but I am managing it with antihistamines and different kinds of food. I’d love a safe place to call home. Might that be with you? FELV/FIV negative Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. I am curious and cautious. I like to explore on my own terms, but I am still getting used to humans. I do love to climb, chase, and romp around with my litter mates. I need to be adopted to a home with another playful cat! I am OK being held, but I don't particularly like it. I am more of a reserved/shy kitten and would love a patient forever family while I build trust. I am friendly with other cats, dogs, and kids. I have started my vaccines and will be sterilized soon. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
Get ready to fall in love! Gummy Worm is a sweet, friendly, and energetic kitten. Gummy Worm loves to do kitten things: explore, play, investigate, and has predatory type behaviors, which lets them "practice" skills that they would normally need for survival. Play-motivated biting behavior is common in young active kittens/cats. Providing Gummy Worm with appropriate toys and playtime will help Gummy Worm become the best kitten he can be. Gummy Worm would enjoy living with another cat or kitten that has a similar personality. Gummy Worm is friendly with people of all ages and would specifically do best with school-age kids, teens, and adults. Gummy Worm wants what every kitten deserves: a safe and comfortable home where he can be loved.

Story
Little Koosh Ball, obviously named for the classic toys from the 80's, is a fun loving, outgoing girl ready to come start some shenanigans at home with you! Koosh Ball, unlike her toy counterpart, actually doesn't care for being picked up and squeezed. She prefers to keep her feet on the ground where she can always be ready to pounce and strike at whatever threat (aka your fingers or toes) is causing trouble! She's an adventurous, adorable little gal with such a fun and outgoing spirit!

Story
I'm Shuri . . .do you like to play with cat wand toys? Cause I'm sure to show you my cool wand skills. I'm just a youngster, born April 2022. I combine the sugar and spice, along with a sprinkle of shy. My confidence is growing and I love other kitties. If you have a couple fur kiddos already or would like to add a new one with me, I'd be super happy. My core vetting is all done; spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and tested negative for both FELV and FIV. All these services included in my adoption fee for only $150. I'd say I'm a bargain :-) If you'd like me to be a forever member of your family please visit providingforpaws.org to submit an adoption application for me, SHURI.
