Story
Meet Bobbi Joe – The Brave Little Mom with the Short Tail 🐾 Personality & Quirks Bobbi Joe is a small, young mama—about 1½ to 2 years old—who’s as curious as she is cautious. She enjoys quiet time in a sunny window or tucked away in her “fort,” and she’ll sometimes play when she thinks no one’s watching. While she’s not ready to be picked up, she’s learning to trust again. Bobbi Joe is honest about her boundaries—if she’s scared or feels cornered, she will swat to let you know. She’s looking for a person who respects her space and her pace. Backstory Bobbi Joe was found pregnant and alone. Thankfully, our rescue was able to trap her so she could give birth in safety. Given how calm she was when we found her, we believe she may have been dumped by someone she once trusted. Life has tested her, but she’s made it through with quiet strength. Special Notes Bobbi Joe has a super short tail due to an old injury, which only adds to her unique charm. She is litter box trained and enjoys her independence, but also shows glimpses of playfulness and connection when she feels safe. She can be easily bribed with Churu. Why They Need You Bobbi Joe needs someone patient and understanding—someone who can see the little moments of progress as big victories. With the right home, she will learn to love again, and you’ll be the one who restores her faith in humans. Ideal Home for Bobbi Joe would do best in an adult-only, calm home with no one who will push her boundaries. A patient adopter, willing to let her come to them in her own time, will earn the trust of a remarkable little survivor. A safe indoor space with cozy hiding spots and windows to watch the world go by will make her feel secure. IMPORTANT: An application must be completed and approved before we can arrange a meeting with any cat or kitten. At Feral Today Friend Tomorrow, we place animals in homes that are the best fit for their individual needs, adoptions are not first-come, first-served. Because all our foster cats live in private homes, we require an approved application before scheduling any meet-and-greet. You can submit your application online here: Apply Now https://nc.feraltodayfriendtomorrow.org/apps/forms/s/gCAw2F8CKyXipcGNLFagK7s7 Special Note: If cats are bonded or adopted as a pair, the total adoption fee will be less than the combined individual fees, we believe keeping companions together should be encouraged and supported.

Story
Meet Tango – The Feather Toy Queen 🐾 Personality & Quirks Tango is a shy but charming little lady with striking, gorgeous markings. While she isn’t much of a treat fan, she absolutely comes alive for feather toys and interactive play. Tango is also a talker—she’ll happily chat with you in her own sweet voice—and she loves to spend time by the window, watching the world go by. Backstory Tango came into our rescue with her siblings—Wilson, Griffin, and Suede—ready for a fresh start. She’s been learning the comforts of home life in foster care and showing more of her curious, playful side every day. Special Notes Tango is litter box trained and has a calm, observant nature. She may take a little time to warm up, but her playful energy and gentle personality make her a joy to have around. Why They Need You Tango needs a patient adopter who will enjoy her quiet companionship and encourage her playful, talkative side. She’ll reward your kindness with her trust, sweet conversations, and delightful window-watching sessions. Ideal Home for Tango would do best in a home with another friendly, playful cat to help her feel secure and bring out her fun side. A calm environment with plenty of windows and interactive playtime will make her feel right at home. Story
Meet Griffin – The Boy with a Big Heart! 🐾 Personality & Quirks Griffin is a playful, curious, and super sweet one-year-old who just turned 1 on August 4th, 2024. He loves running around with his siblings, chasing toys, and enjoying his favorite treats—catnip and Churu. While he may start off a bit shy, once he settles in, Griffin will happily rule the household with charm and confidence. Backstory Griffin came to us as part of a litter and has grown up in foster care surrounded by his siblings. This gave him plenty of time to build his playful personality and learn how to live alongside other cats. His siblings, Wilson, Suede, and Tango are also up for adoption. Special Notes Griffin is litter box trained and will need a little guidance as he learns the rules of a new home. He’s an explorer at heart, so expect him to investigate every corner and make himself comfortable in no time. Why They Need You Griffin needs a loving family who will give him patience during his shy first days and then enjoy the playful, affectionate companion he becomes. He will bring joy, laughter, and warmth to your home. Ideal Home for Griffin would thrive in a home where he has space to explore, play, and lounge. He does well with other cats and would enjoy a feline friend, but could also be happy as the only cat if given plenty of playtime and love. IMPORTANT: An application must be completed and approved before we can arrange a meeting with any cat or kitten. At Feral Today Friend Tomorrow, we place animals in homes that are the best fit for their individual needs. Adoptions are not first-come, first-served. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. What’s going on? I’m Kabuki! I am an adorably curious wiggle-butt who loves playing with toys and following you wherever you go! I just want to see what you are doing and if I can help! I love exploring and purr a lot when you show me attention. I was found in a wooded field all on my own, but I get along great with other cats. I love wrestling and cuddling with my best friend Kodama. I seem to have an allergy to chicken, so I primarily eat fish based meals. I’d love to join your family and play with my furry friends.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 5, 2025, 8:44 pm
