You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Mama is a sweet beautiful cuddly little kitty cat.  She is almost 5 years old and weighs approximately 12 pounds.  She is a little skittish at first (startled by loud noises) but once she gets used to her situation and warms up to her family, she turns into a velcro cat.  She will want to sit on your lap all the time.  She will sleep on your legs at night.  She loves having her head and chin scratched for as long as you are willing to scratch. I think Mama would do fine with another older cat.  You will just have to be patient with her.  Because she is skittish, I do not think she would do well with a dog unless that dog is elderly and/or very chill.  She was originally raised by a family with a 3 year old girl so, she is good with children.  She really is the sweetest little girl and deserves to find her best fur-ever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. September 22, 2023, 3:52 pm

Cody is a beautiful loving big ole’ gentle giant!  He is a 15 lb, 2 year old orange Tabby.  He has the loudest purrrrr I think I have ever heard.  He loves head scratches, belly scratches, butt scratches and laying on your lap.  He likes to play with string and loves all of his little stuffed animal toys.  He would make a wonderful best friend!  He is good with little kids and would probably do well with another cat but not a dog. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Kabuki is a lovable wiggle butt who loves to play with puzzle toys and cuddle on laps for naps. He craves attention and wants to explore everything! A little confused about what to do with a fishing pole toy, but we'll have him leaping for joy in no time! He was found on his own in a wooded field, but he was well socialized. No microchip or missing kitten post was found, so he needs a good, safe place he can call home.
