Meet Echo — the little gray shadow who’s learning that people can be pretty great after all. 🐾 This wily 12-week-old kitten showed up outside and decided he’d stick around… but only on his own terms. For quite a while, he darted away from every attempt to catch him, his big green eyes watching us from a safe distance. Slowly but surely, though, Echo has decided that maybe being part of a family isn’t so bad. He's now safe with us inside, cuddling with a kitty friend. With his soft, medium-length gray fur and those striking eyes, Echo is as handsome as he is clever. He’s still working on trusting humans completely, but every day he gets braver, and he's ready for a patient and loving home with people who will help him blossom into the confident, affectionate cat we know he can be. Introducing Dennis! Dennis and his siblings arrived as kittens at a shelter at some point before it closed last summer. They are all adults now, at about five years old. Dennis is more social than some of his siblings and will accept pets, loves to be brushed, and sometimes will rub on your leg if you're quiet. He would do best in an adult-only home with folks with experience with cats who are willing to give him time and space to adjust to his new environment. This sweet cat is semi-feral has been with ABF for an extended period. While some progress has been made, there is still wariness of human contact and she will tend to avoid interaction. This cat has never been exposed to outdoor elements or hunting, so would not be suitable as a barn cat. She is used to living in an air conditioned and heated building with other cats in a very clean room that has lots of windows and is excellent at using the litter box. We would love for her to have a home of his own where she could continue to thrive.

Special Needs-Clover is a playful little gal. She loves pouncing. Clover needs a loving home. She came to us on July 27, 2025 as a stray. She was a cute, tiny bundle of tabby/white fur. We had her tested for feline leukemia/FIV and all of her vaccinations were done. We had her spayed a few weeks later. Clover did great with our cat, Abby, who happens to have her own room. Abby is the queen of her castle and doesn't care for other cats, but does well with kittens. Clover and Abby are a match made in heaven. One of our volunteers noticed a swivel and stumble in Clovers walk. We waited until she was a little older to have x-rays done. Multiple radiographs of her back, hips, hind legs and neck were done. Dr. Schrock at Three Trails believes this is a congenital defect or neurologic deficit, causing the ataxia/ wobbly gait. Clover is in no pain and seems to be growing normally otherwise. Dr. Schrock believes Clover will make a great pet for someone, but will have persistent ataxia and weakness. He feels this should not affect Clover's quality of life. Please consider Clover into your heart and home!
