Story
Coal is used to other cats and gets along with them most of the time but sometimes he can be a bully to them by cornering them and getting on top of them. He likes dogs, is used to big dogs and would love a dog that would let him cuddle with it sometimes. He is pretty independent, does not like to be held but will want cuddles sometimes if you are sitting or lying down. He is curious with new places and things and doesn't usually hide when new people come around. He loves to lay in boxes, buckets, bags, laundry baskets or anything else he can get inside and will hideaway in kitchen cabinets if he’s able. He is used to having food available all the time and will only eat when he is hungry so there is no need to portion or limit his food. He is a pretty big cat and weighs about 15 pounds. He has been declawed on the front. It would be great if he could find a home with Roach or Uhaul who are also being rehomed.

Story
Uhaul got her name because she was found hiding inside the fan housing of a Uhaul van when I rented it. She is a sweet girl but doesn’t like a lot of interaction. She will hide when new people are around or when moved to a new place. Her favorite place to hide is under the covers on a bed. If she is hiding you just have to wait and let her come out in her own time. She does love to cuddle if you are sitting on the couch with a blanket. She is very light although not a small cat. She is used to having food available all the time and will not overeat so there is no need to limit her food. She is very vocal at times and loves to lay in bathtubs for some reason. It would be great if she could go to a home with Roach or Coal who are also being rehomed. She is used to other cats but be kind of territorial sometimes. She is used to big dogs and would love to be around one that would let her cuddle with it.

Story
Roach is a sweet girl. She is not afraid of anything and loves getting right in your way when you are trying to do something. She doesn’t like to be held a lot but will sometimes cuddle with you if sitting or lying down and she purrs if you just look at her. She likes to eat and will eat until she throws up so her food needs to be portioned and limited somehow. She is overweight and since we have multiple cats in the house, even though she has her food limited she finds a way to eat everyone else’s. She gets along well with other cats and dogs. It would be great if she could go to a home with Uhaul or Coal who need to be rehomed as well.

Story
Royal is a stunning black cat with soft, medium-length fur and striking golden eyes that gleam like jewels. At about 2.5 years old, he’s a quiet soul who takes his time getting to know people. He’s very shy at first and will need a calm, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. Royal isn’t the kind of cat who will greet you at the door on day one—but given time, space, and patience, he may slowly begin to show you his gentle heart. If you’re someone who respects a cat’s boundaries and believes in letting trust grow naturally, Royal just might be your perfect match. He’s waiting for a safe, loving place to call his own. Could that be with you? Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you'd like more info on Royal. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available.

Story
Meet Echo — the little gray shadow who’s learning that people can be pretty great after all. 🐾 This wily 12-week-old kitten showed up outside and decided he’d stick around… but only on his own terms. For quite a while, he darted away from every attempt to catch him, his big green eyes watching us from a safe distance. Slowly but surely, though, Echo has decided that maybe being part of a family isn’t so bad. He's now safe with us inside, cuddling with a kitty friend. With his soft, medium-length gray fur and those striking eyes, Echo is as handsome as he is clever. He’s still working on trusting humans completely, but every day he gets braver, and he's ready for a patient and loving home with people who will help him blossom into the confident, affectionate cat we know he can be. Echo is hanging out in the Kansas City metro area, but if you’re his perfect match, we’ll bring him to you! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information.

Story
Introducing Dennis! Dennis and his siblings arrived as kittens at a shelter at some point before it closed last summer. They are all adults now, at about five years old. Dennis is more social than some of his siblings and will accept pets, loves to be brushed, and sometimes will rub on your leg if you're quiet. He would do best in an adult-only home with folks with experience with cats who are willing to give him time and space to adjust to his new environment. Dennis is a sweet boy and with patience and time will make a lovely companion. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on him. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.
