Romeo's estimated DOB is: August, 2009. We're looking for an experienced cat owner to be Romeo's special person. Romeo is a friendly and affectionate guy. He will follow you around from room to room and is very loving. He likes to be in your lap. He has the personality of a Turkish Angora and soft bunny hair. He is the kind of cat that does not hide when there are visitors and comes out to visit. However there are times when he can be kind of a DIVA and lash out when he is overstimulated and done with affection. So small children are not recommended. He is still very playful and loves toys that move, like mice on wheels, little fluff balls etc. He would love to have an owner that would allow him to sleep in bed with them and be on their lap a lot. Romeo lives with big, medium and little dogs, has lived with other cats in the past. He does have a tendency to pick on other cats depending on their personality. Romeo needs to eat wet food at least once a day. Currently he eats Fancy Feast Broths and dry food in the morning. At night he gets a half of a small can of wet food. Romeo tests positive for FIV. Please don't let his condition scare you away - FIV kitties can lead long, normal and healthy lives simply by being kept indoors, receiving good nutrition and care, and getting annual veterinarian check-ups – all things that every cat should receive. FIV is difficult to transfer to other cats and the primary transmission route is through a deep bite wound. It is not an airborne disease nor is it contagious through shared food dishes, litter boxes or grooming. What a sweet girl this is. She likes to cuddle on her own terms but when she does, she’ll be all over you. Tyson was found outside by a friend of a CAR volunteer (the same friend who found David!). Tyson actually just made himself at home in her garage. Tyson has been a stray hanging around her neighborhood for a few months. The friend brought Tyson to CAR and boy, is he just as handsome as he can be! He is super sweet and full of personality! He LOVES toys, he will even go as far to entertain himself by throwing a ball up in the playing catch with himself. My name is Misty and I’m around 5 years old. I was left behind with my litter of kittens after my owners moved away. Luckily, a very nice couple found us, fed us, and cared for us. This couple helped my kittens get rescued and adopted, and helped care for me until Stray Haven came to rescue me.Misty, like any cat, can be a little shy and skittish at first, but after a few days of settling in, she truly comes out of her shell. Misty loves affection and attention. She enjoys being held and will nuzzle her head against your face begging for kisses. She will follow you closely wherever you go in the house rubbing against your leg and just watching over you. Misty can also be very energetic and loves to play with toys throughout the day. She also loves to be brushed and will purr loudly and make “biscuits” with her big fluffy teddy bear paws.Misty would do best as a single cat in a household, but she has shown interest in meeting and being around other cats in foster care. Charlie & his brother Cadfael were born in the woods and were rescued when they were several months old. Charlie has a sweet disposition, but can be shy with strangers.  Charlie is definitely the "brave" one of the brothers and needs to be adopted with his brother Cadfael. Both are 8 yrs old as of 8/20/21). Charlie loves to play and will come running if you shake the cat treat bag! His fur was fluffy when he was small and outside in the cold weather, but his fur is definitely not long (but he has a fluffy tail).  Cadfael & Charlie were adopted as young adults, but weren't given enough time to acclimate to their new surroundings, since they had only been in a single home.  They would do best in a quiet home without young children.  Both brothers are good with other cats. Both boys have a sweet disposition and demand lap time of their foster mom.  While not terribly vocal, Charlie does like to "talk" to his foster mom! -- Cadfael is the strong silent type! Cadfael is a large, all black cat with medium-long hair.  He needs small daily brushings to keep him looking his best (but he's not terribly fond of "spa" time!).  Both Cadfael and Charlie like ot play with toys -- either with you or on their own.  They swat small stuffed mice and plastic springs all over their house.   Cadfael & Charlie were adopted as young adults, but weren't given enough time to acclimate to their new surroundings, since they had only been in a single home.  They would do best in a quiet home without young children.  Both brothers are good with other cats. Mommacita is just over a year old.  This little girl welcomes other kitties and is great with kids ten years and older.  She has masted the art of chilling early in her young life.  Even though her tiny face screams of mischeif Mommacita is happy to be safe inside, preferably with treats and toys, and remains as happy as a clam.  This kitty does enjoy a little bit of exploring.  On her adventurous days she likes discovering cat trees to climb on, shelves to lounge, and nooks to burrow in. It is absolutely adorable. Mommacita is a wonderful companion cat- She enjoys the company of other cats and humans alike.
