Hi everyone, my name is Wayne and I am a gorgeous male medium-haired tabby kitty approximately 9 years of age. I was originally adopted as a a kitten from Kitty Junction but sadly through no fault of my own, now find myself needing a new home. The girlfriend of my current owner is moving in and both she and her daughter are allergic to cats so my owner says I need to go The rescue is hoping to find me a new family as soon as possible so I don’t have to endure the stress of being returned back to the rescue first. I am up to date on my wellness exam and vaccinations so that I am all ready to go. ​My current owner says while I am not a lap kitty I love to seek your attention by rubbing against your body, your legs, and your hands I love to play and will often bring toys to you, especially my favorite stuffed mice I am shy to start but very friendly once I get to know you! I am perfect with my litter box and scratching post and have never shown an ounce of aggression. I did previously live with another kitty (my brother) but he sadly was rehomed to an ex-girlfriend We did get along but would wrestle a lot as boys often do. I have never been around dogs. My rescuers would love to find me the home I deserve where I will be cherished like a family member. Calista ACCT-A-239850 is a 5-year-old spayed female cat who came in as an owner surrender on 12/23 due to her owner’s health. Previous owner noted: “She has medium energy, likes play time but is happy to just chill. An ideal home would have a moderate level of interaction and stimulation. It may take her a little time to adjust to a new home, but I would say she is adaptable and will fit in well in a variety of environments.” Behavior: On 12/31 staff noted: “Very vocal with her hissing! Calista turned her nose up at some churu, but has been moving around her new office, and not staying hunkered down in one area, so she might open up more. Calista will swat if you get too close, but both her and her sister are very talkative overall, so that might be a part of their communication.” On 12/31 staff noted: “Increasing gaba to 30 mg/kg due to persistent FAS 5/5” On 12/27 staff noted: “Definitely scared, reclusive to the back of litter box side, hissed when I opened kennel door and avoided eye contact. Dropped in treats and she ate right away, sniffed wand toy and was slightly interested but hissed when I brought it closer to her. Would definetly need some time but I think with patience can warm up in a home with treats, positive reinforcement and time.” On 12/26 staff noted: “Would not let us give traz due to aggression.” On 12/25 staff noted: “Authorizing trazodone, offensive aggression of low gutter, growling, wide direct eye contact people’s dilated swiping with bearing claws through the kennel, doors and charging at the front of the cage, hissing and swatting when approached.” On 12/24 staff noted: “TTA due to hissing, swatting, spitting, screaming, lunging, dilated pupils. Kit Kat is doing really great. She is a nervous girl but gets braver and braver every day. She is very attached to me - follows me around unless I go downstairs (she’s still too nervous!). She sleeps either on top of me or right next to me every night - LOVES to cuddle. I believe she may have separation anxiety as she wants to be touching me 24/7 and cries if I have to leave her. She definitely presents with symptoms of hyperthyroidism - drinks a ton of water and gets restless at time. Her appetite is sometimes really good but other days she doesn’t eat much - I am trying to get her to eat a lot and gain weight. Uses the litter box normally, pees a lot as she drinks so much water. She takes her medication like a champ though. She is not a fan of my other cat, she growls and hisses if he’s nearby at all. There hasn’t been any physical contact between them, I’m just waiting and hoping she warms up more and gains interest in meeting him. He’s a patient and friendly boy and hasn’t reacted to her, he respects her boundaries and runs away if she hisses at him.
