Story
Hi there! My name is T'Challa because I am a black panther, sleek and stealth with grace. If that means clumsy with a goofy attitude, that’s me! I was born around March 21, 2023, and found with my siblings with no mamma along with an injury to my eye, before I was rescued by Paw Prints in the Sand Animal Rescue. My rough beginnings haven’t stopped me from being full of love and endless energy. I love to play and cuddle and purr loudly when being held and petted. I'm a loveable and cuddly kitten who will steal your heart with my playful antics. I was the first to bolt from my room to try to check out the rest of the apartment. I walk like I didn’t just escape – nothing to see here! I'm looking for my forever home where I can be loved and cherished. Come meet me at an adoption event soon!"

Story
Hey there! My name is Silver and I'm named after the Marvel character, Silver Surfer. I was born around March 21, 2023, and was found with my siblings with no mamma before I was rescued by Paw Prints in the Sand Animal Rescue. I'm a kitten that goes for it in everything I do. I play hard and sleep hard. The banging on the door is not me trying to get out; it's me bouncing off the walls! I have a bit of a "paw" fetish - when I'm sleepy and cuddly I like to suckle on my siblings’ paw beans. I meow sadly when I'm refused a paw. It's absolutely adorable! I love to find a comfy place to sleep that is close to my foster parent or even on them. I’m looking for my forever home where I can be loved and cherished. Will that be you?"

Hi, I'm Fiddle. I'd like to be your best friend. My most favorite thing to do is eat with you! Just envision Lady and the Tramp, we can share a plate of spaghetti together every night. I love to cuddle up and get cozy. Taking naps with my foster family is my favorite too. I'm always baking up fresh biscuits. Whenever someone pets me, I turn into a purr machine immediately. I enjoy playing with my foster sister Harmonica! We have a real good time chasing each other and wrestling around. According to my foster family, I have a HUGE personality and i keep them laughing every day. I would really enjoy a home with humans that love to cuddle and a kitty friend to play with. I was found outside in a yard in Compton. They thought I was going to lose my eye, but with some really good medications, they were able to save it! It has some scarring on it, which is why I look a little funny, but it doesn't effect me at all! I wouldn't even know I had an issue with my eye if someone hadn't told me.

Milkshake is a funny guy with a crooked jaw. We suspect he was kicked, which caused his jaw to break. He eats just fine, it just gives him some character! Actually, eating is his favorite hobby and we're pretty sure that's how he survived the streets. He's a little shy at first, but all you have to do is give him some pets or some snackies and he'll immediately start his purr motor and melt. He loves to roll around on your lap and head snuggles. If you really want to win him over, give him a piece of meat and he will will walk to the ends of the earth with you. He's a chatterbox who will let you know his every thought. His chirps are the cutest thing. Milkshake loves to eat, play, and be pet. He loves to make biscuits on a nice fuzzy blanket in your lap. He's a good boy! Milkshake needs a cat friend in the home because he is extremely energetic. He also gets along with dogs, but will not cuddle with them.

Story
Say hello to Martini! This little one was initially part of our TNR program but we saw she was friendly enough to try and give her a new chance at life. Martini is a shy girl but is working on learning to accept love. She has come a long way in the short time she's been in her foster home. She is learning to play with her cat friends and loves wand toys. Martini needs someone with lots of patience and understanding. She is slow to warm up but once she's comfortable she's very affectionate. Martini would love to go home with her friend, Tequila Sunrise, but would also love a home with another patient and friendly cat.

Story
Fall in love with Tequila Sunrise! This precious girl came as a surprise during one of our TNR round ups. She had been dumped and was afraid of her new surroundings. Not only was she in danger in a completely unfamiliar territory, but she also appeared to have an injury to her right eye. We knew we had to take action to help this sweet baby girl. Thankfully, the vet determined that this was an old injury, and Tequila didn't need further treatment. Tequila Sunrise loves her kitty friends and is still learning to accept love from her foster mom. She enjoys scratches from her human friends, but will require some patience to learn that cuddles are also safe. Tequila Sunrise has lots of fun with all kinds of toys. She has grown quite fond of her fellow bashful friend, Martini, and would love to go home with her. Tequila would thrive in an environment where there is lots of patience and love. She is hoping that you can give her the forever home she's been waiting for!

Russet Potato, also known as Gramps, is a sensitive dude looking to live out the rest of his life relaxing. He is shy at first and will need someone to be patient with him. Once you pet him, he will immediately melt and start purring. He loves booty scratches and chin rubs. He will curl up in your lap and just purr and purr while you pet him. He doesn't want to be the first to approach, but once you approach him and pet him, he melts. He was rescued from outside, in very poor condition. He was extremely skinny, flea ridden, and have bad teeth. Luckily, we found him and were able to fix everything! Now he's a hungry boy who will eat anything and everything. Russet Potato aka Gramps is good with other cats and dogs. He can also go home as a single cat. This easy dude is just looking to chill. He will need a patient adopter who is willing to overcome his introverted nature.

Story
A Great Pair To Choose!Taffy likes to Cuddle - Taffy has a brown muzzle and her brother Ringo looks similar, but has a white face. When we first met Taffy, she was very reserved and uncertain about her new home. She has blossomed and is super affectionate. Once she gets to know you and feels safe, she will be affectionate with you, too. Basically, Taffy likes to get to know you before she falls head over heels for you! She will be slow to greet strangers. But if the guests give her some playtime with interactive toys she begins playing and forgets the people she didn’t know.  She is very quiet yet very curious and smart. Taffy plays and cuddles with both of her brothers.  Taffy would be happy in a home without children or dogs. A quiet house is best for her.  STEPS TO ADOPTION:  I'm DiAnna and I can help you with information and arrange a meeting in the caregiver’s home.  However, we like to get to know the potential adopter before formalizing an application to discover if the cat of interest is a good fit. Some cats like getting all the attention and do best with people at home, some don't want to live with other cats and some don't like dogs and children. We want everyone to be happy! I know all the cats in our network and can speak with you about your search after I get to know you.  COVID has changed the way we do things so the interview process starts with you sharing in your inquiry about yourself, others in the home or others that visit regularly, current pets and about the ones that you have had in the past and where they are now. Your work schedule is important, and what lifestyle you plan for your pet; indoor only, indoor, but allowed out sometimes, indoor / outdoor.  I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you. I am available to speak with you by phone and help you with your search but after you introduce yourself.    Then we proceed to a formal application and we accept short video clips of yourself, others in the home and the areas of your home that the cat will have access to.  A LITTLE ABOUT US: “We Specialize in “Pet-quality, Friendly, Sociable Cats and Kittens that Live in Private Homes with People That Love Them!” You, too, could become a foster parent to a cat, or a kitten litter! Just ask! It is super rewarding and a nice way to get to know cats before you adopt! Community Animal Network believes that all young beings enjoy the action of playing with another. Kittens adopted in pairs with their BFF or, “equal energy playmate” are happiest when having friends to play with. Just like all young beings rough and tumble together making it fun to watch, too.  This kitty is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue with a vet internship program for aspiring veterinarians as young as 15 years old. The founder of Community Animal Network, DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, is very particular about the quality of raising the kittens with vitamins, proper diet. A board-certified feline specialist provides the animals with their veterinary medical care and Community Animal Network offers veterinary internships to young people as young as 15 that have aspirations of becoming a vet.  Feral kittens are tamed to "pet quality" and rescue cats that are shy are disclosed and termed, "rescue quality" with a lower placement fee. With all adoptions DiAnna Pfaff-Martin gives valuable information about cat care in a "feline pet-parenting consultation" to adopters. The most current information is made available about how to keep your cat healthy, pet foods, litters and how to make your cat more affectionate and her specialty is teaching, “How To Make Cats Happy!” The AVID microchip is implanted in every cat and the chips’ registration fee is included in the adoption and the animals come with a 30-day heath commitment and return policy. Friendly and OutgoingRingo is the first to greet strangers and he has a white face and his sister Taffy has a brown muzzle. Ringo knows he is a star! He is all about being the first to be noticed and get in the action and has the most outgoing personality.  He is very affectionate and likes to cuddle and sleep next to you.  He is incredibly curious, intelligent and is super playful.  He loves all types of toys and likes to jump and climb.  He has a lot of energy so pairing him up with a playmate is good.
