Story
Sweetie Pie is a cat who lives up to her name! She is a playful, friendly kitty with a lot of love to give.  More than anything, Sweetie Pie loves to play and always gets the zoomies! She enjoys all types of cat toys, but will also turn anything into a toy, such as hair ties that she bats around the house. Sweetie Pie also LOVES all types of cat treats! When meeting new people, Sweetie Pie can be cautious, but becomes very social once she is comfortable in her surroundings. After she gets to know you, she won’t stop asking for pets and cuddles! She likes to lick your nose and rub all over you when you lay down.  Sweetie Pie is very social with other animals. She enjoys playing and being groomed by her foster family’s adult cats. She has also shown interest in dogs but has not had any direct experience with them.  Sweetie Pie experiences signs of a chronic upper respiratory infection, which is similar to the common cold in humans. She often has mild eye discharge, and her eyes look different due to exposed third eyelids. Also, her left eye is slightly cloudy due to corneal scarring. We do not believe this condition to be painful and is likely the result of recurring infections she experienced as a kitten. To care for her, Sweetie Pie may occasionally require eye medication—she accepts her treatments well and without complaint! Our Adoption Team would be happy to share more information about her medical history and any future care.  Sweetie Pie would love to be adopted into a home with another friendly, playful cat, and a family who can give her lots of cuddles! Meet Buddy! Buddy is a very sweet, outgoing kitty who loves to meet new people. He might just be your new BFF! Buddy experiences signs of a chronic upper respiratory infection (similar to a common cold in humans), but this does not slow him down! He’s still very playful, has a great appetite and loves to cuddle. He often has mild discharge from his eye or nose and may occasionally require medication, which he accepts without complaint. Our Adoption Team would be happy to share more information about Buddy’s medical history and any future care. Buddy would love to be adopted into a home with another social cat. He loves making friends and enjoys cuddling, playing and socializing with his foster family's resident cats. Buddy absolutely LOVES other cats, even big grumpy ones who don’t match his enthusiasm. He also does well with young children and enjoys getting pets, playtime and treats. You’ll soon agree that Buddy is a well-mannered and adorable kitty! In Buddy’s foster home, mornings are spent playing a game of tag with the resident cats, followed by playtime with their foster. He loves any and all types of toys—hours of entertainment can be found just from a drinking straw or piece of paper. Afternoons are best spent cuddling and relaxing by the window. In the evening, Buddy loves to be on your lap while you watch TV. Then he’ll be found playing on the bed, and when it’s time to sleep, he’ll cuddle up right next to you.  Buddy loves to spend time with you and will put a smile on your face every time you see him! Story
Meet Kira! Kira is an affectionate lap cat who will never turn down an opportunity to snuggle. Whether you’re working at a computer, reading or watching TV, Kira will curl up and make herself comfortable!  Kira will initially need a bit of reassurances from her adopter, as she can be nervous in new places and around new people. Once she’s had time to warm up to you, she becomes a true sweetheart. Her love of cuddles always beats out her shy side!  Kira has lots of kitten energy and loves playing with both her human and cat buddies equally. She enjoys catnip mice, balls with bells or anything else that she can bat around. However, she especially loves wand toys that she can chase and catch. She's always down for a play-hunting session! Exploring around her foster home and playing in cardboard boxes are also a highlight of Kira’s day. A potential adopter should be aware that she tends to chew on plants, so she will need pet-safe varieties in her home. Kira gets along well with other cats and would love to be adopted into a home with another friendly and playful cat to keep her company. In her current foster home, Kira has not been introduced to dogs, but may do well with a calm, cat-friendly dog if they were introduced slowly.  Kira thrives on attention and would do best in a home with a large family or lots of people to spend time with her. There’s nothing she loves more than individualized snuggle time! Kira does well around young children—she’s happy to sit on laps, play with toys and let children pet her gently. She would also be a great fit for older children who love the idea of a sweet kitty sitting on their lap and purring while they do their homework. Kira experiences signs of a chronic upper respiratory infection (similar to a common cold in humans), but this does not slow her down one bit. She’s still a very playful kitty and loves to cuddle. Kira often has mild eye discharge and may require occasional medication. Our Adoption Team would be happy to share more information about her medical history and expected future care.  If Kira sounds like the perfect fit for your home click the “Adopt Me” button to submit an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/2bcd5391-8215-43be-b260-648a84fe3e53 September 29, 2023, 4:30 pm

Story
** COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Meet beautiful, goofy Natalia! Another life saved from the streets! Natalia was trapped at Trader Joe’s in Monrovia with her siblings Shyla & Liam. We believe they were callously dumped with their mom in the back alleyway and illegally abandoned. Mom thought she did a good job of hiding them in the warehouse while searching for food, but during the busy day, she couldn't get to them until the store closed at night. We got the call for help and trapped all three kittens for fostering until they were social and ready for adoption. Natalia loves to play with her sister Shyla and toys! She doesn’t mind being held and absolutely loves getting belly rubs and snuggling in bed. She's a goofy little girl and she is very thankful to be rescued. The majority of our cats for adoptions are not fans of dogs. You have to remember they have been on the street with coyotes being hunted. Natalia does do well with kids who aren't quick, loud or rough with her. She's also a very good traveler in her carrier to and from adoptions. * Date of Birth: Sept 2019 (approx) * Breed/Color:: DSH Grey Tabby * Eye Color: Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * FELV/FIV Combo Tested: Negative (Both) * Microchipped * Flea Treatment * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: All Natural Rope Sisal or Cardboard * Littermates/Best Friends: Shyla (We would love to adopt these sisters together! Learn about our 2-for-1 adoptions!) FACT: Did you know 80-90% of the cats in the shelters are from the streets? Please help support your local TNR (Trap.Neuter.Return.) groups like The TNR Project who are on the streets making a difference by stopping the overwhelming number of litters being born. Please consider fostering with us to save more lives. Always remember to Sterilize....Don't Euthanize! Big Kitty Love!

** COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Meet beautiful, quiet Shyla! Another life saved from the streets! Shyla was trapped at Trader Joe’s in Monrovia with her siblings Natalia & Liam. Shyla loves to play with her sister Natalia and toys! She is quieter than Natalia and she is more reserved, but she does love to engage with someone one on one. She loves to sleep in her enclosed Cat Head bed and treats will get you everywhere! Shyla really wants her own person to love and she would love to be adopted with her sister, Natalia who is her best friend and buddy. Shyla is a wonderful girl who will make someone very happy and loved. We would love to see her in a home where she can blossom. The majority of our cats for adoptions are not fans of dogs. * COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER /FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet adorable Star! There is just something so elegant about a black & white cat....they always look like they're ready to attend a black tie affair! She has a very sweet personality and loves attention so much, you can pet her anywhere. She will roll over and talk to you for affection. She is playful and gets along with other cats beautifully. She has never been around dogs except the coyotes in the parking lot where she was dumped. Star and her sister Moon (also available) were dumped at a busy shopping center in Azusa as teenagers. One of our volunteers who frequents the center, spotted them and immediately returned with traps. They were very hungry. She then trapped them and took them into foster care, to be socialized and then adopted into homes. They were really scared at first understandably after the ordeal they'd gone through but came around very quickly. She is looking for her forever home and she would love to bond with you! Please share her profile on social media so we can get her adopted in order to pull another cat from the streets. Thank you for supporting our Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) efforts! Get involved, join the movement. Sterilize... Don't Euthanize! Thank you for looking at Star!

Story
Thank you for looking at and bringing awareness to our group out rescuing cats & kittens strictly from the streets. * COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Say hello to handsome Cullen! Background: Ready for this crazy ride? Cullen was found in Glendora, in the middle of the street by a postal worker. She was trying to shoo him out of the street so he wouldn't get hit when surprisingly, one of our adopters saw what was happening and lent a helping hand. The kitten ran underneath a parked car (our adopters) and he jumped into the wheel well. They could not get Cullen to come out, so they had the car towed to their local mechanic. He removed the wheel and reached in to remove the kitten for our adopter, who then contacted us. He was scooped up by our volunteer foster and he has grown into a wonderful little guy! He is a beautiful marbled or mackerel tabby who is friendly, outgoing and curious. He likes to be held and of course, loves to play all the time with his best friend Lala. We'd love to see them adopted together because he will need a buddy to play with. He enjoys being around other cats and will be occupied while you are at work, sports or school! Kids: He is good with older, mature kids Cats: He takes a few days to acclimate, but then he is good with other cats who are tempered and playful. Dogs: He is not good with dogs * Date of Birth: March 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Brown Mackerel or Marbled Tabby * Eye Color: Green * Neutered * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Dewormed: Triwormed * Flea Treated: Revolution * Nails Trimmed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural & Unscented * Scratching Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Lala * Ask about our Adopt-A-Pair program to keep best friends & siblings together! COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet the adorable Dario! Background: Born in the backyard of a good samaritan, we were contacted after much social media hype regarding rescuing the babies and the mom. He was one of five kittens with common upper respiratory infections, eye infections and flea infestations....all quickly cured with antibiotics, eye meds & kitten flea meds! Dario is a little bit more quiet than his siblings. He is a curious, playful little boy who loves to play soccer with his toys. He loves to be held, get kisses and be near you always. Dario is mostly black with beautiful swirls throughout his coat. He and Quentin definitely get a lot of compliments on their coloring and coat patterns. His favorite buddy in the whole world is Quentin, his brother, whom he plays with constantly. He definitely loves the company of another feline and we’d love to see this pair adopted together! Kids: He would do well with older, quieter kids. Dogs: He would not do well with dogs unless they were cat-friendly & experienced at being with cats Cats: He will do great with other cats & doesn’t like being alone * Date of Birth: March 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: DSH Black/Brown Tabby w/Swirls * Eye Color: Gold * Neutered * Vaccinated * SNAP Tested FELV/FIV Results: Negative/Negative * Microchipped: Found Animals * Flea Treated: Revolution * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Dario * Siblings: Dario, Kylo, Saber, Luana, Quentin * Ask about our Adopt-A-Pair program to keep siblings & best friends together!
