Hello!  I’m CHEWI (DOB: ~08/15/2021), a female tortoiseshell domestic short hair. I can be a bit shy until I feel comfortable around you and learn to trust, but then I can be very sweet and affectionate also. I enjoy being petted and may reciprocate with a purr now and then when I am happy. I like to be nearby, but not necessarily on, my person. I need a quiet home and with a family with no young children – a family that is willing to give me a lot of patience while I settle in, feel comfortable, and learn to trust. Hello! I’m SARAH (DOB: ~09/16/2020), a dilute torbico (tortoiseshell tabby) domestic shorthair. I was found as a stray and wound up in a local animal control facility – almost ready to give birth. FFRS stepped up to take me in, found placement with a foster family – and, within a week, I gave birth to two kittens (sadly, one of them didn’t make it, though). I was a good mom to my baby but now I am done with birthin’ and caring for my baby and am totally ready to find a home of my own where I can be the center of your attention. I would prefer a home with no other cats, no dogs, and no children under the age of eight. I am affectionate and enjoy my tummy rubs. I don’t require a lot of attention, am calm and quiet, don’t meow much, and don’t whine except maybe just a bit if I am not free to roam the house for an extended period of time. I am litter box trained very well and always cover up my waste and keep myself clean. I enjoy both my dry and sometimes wet food – I’m not a picky eater. I like to play with toys, and. FFRS rescued me and my last litter of 5 kittens from a local animal control facility. My foster mom found me to be an excellent  attentive mommy, and even when I was not feeling well, my babies were taken care of.  I do tend to hiss at strangers, but I get over my fear quickly, especially if you scratch me in that spot behind my ears. I have a sensitive tummy and my foster mommy found I do better on a sensitive stomach diet. I have gotten along well with my foster’s other cats and small dogs.  My foster mom especially loves that I am a quiet traveler, in that I don’t yowl or scream while traveling in a car.
