Story
Styx enjoys love and attention and likes sitting on the back of the couch behind your head.  Her foster says "She loves getting on the bed whenever I'm on it. She doesn't always stay on it but any time I lay down, even for just a minute, she instantly hops on and meows!" She is very talkative but is also an independent girl.  Styx was surrendered to us when her owner had to move and couldn't take all of her cats with her.  She was going to euthanize her because of health issues but all she needed was a dental cleaning and some extractions.  In February of 2024 we Styx became diabetic.  Luckily she doesn't require insulin shots.  She is currently on once daily oral medication.  She is very shy and takes time to get to know people and prefers a very quiet household, but once she trusts you she loves to get attention.  She is in a foster home and is doing well, but she requires someone with a lot of patience.  She has been through a lot in her life and it took her 3 months in her foster home to come out of her shell.  She is now looking for a permanent home with someone with just as much patience and love as her foster dad.     ##1335480##

Bebe and Leeloo were surrendered to us in 2019 when they were tossed out of their house and abandoned.  They are very bonded to each other.  They were adopted out together in 2020.  That adoption did not work out and they ended up back with us summer of 2022.  These girls have had a tough way to go the last few years.  Bebe has inflammatory bowel disease and needs to stay on a diet for sensitive stomachs.  She is a total lap cat.  Leeloo is also a very sweet girl who loves attention.  She also enjoys climbing up on high perches to watch everything going on below her.  They are looking for a home together that can finally be a forever home.  These girls are too sweet to not have a loving family.   ##1562556##

Kathy came to temporarily live with us while her owner was in the hospital.  He has moved to assisted living but isn't able to care for her again.  While she has been in our care she has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and inflammatory bowel disease.  She received radioactive iodine therapy for the hyperthyroidism and no longer needs medication for it.  She is however on an inexpensive medication for her IBD.  She can be a real sweet girl with lots of purrs when she's in the mood, other times she does a bit of growling but never bites.  She co-exits with other animals just fine.  She is looking for a home where she can live out her senior kitty years with lots of good food and head scratches.   ##1386916##

This little one is Paprika.  She was found by a dumpster with 4 newborns.  She came to us through another rescue.  She did a wonderful job raising her littles.  Now she is ready to find her furever homes.  She is a super sweet girl, but she is also very shy.  She has finally decided to jump on the couch to get love.  She is vocal at times and we have conversations daily.  She dislikes being held,  It took her quite awhile but she now is fine being around other adult cats.  She is good with dogs after some time as well.  Her soft torti fur and her adorable wonky teeth will make a you a wonderful cat companion.  She prefers to be the only pet but would do ok with other animals that leave her alone.   ##1661006##

Shaquille (aka Gnocchi) is a bit of an introvert, but once he feels comfortable he will be wherever you are, begging for attention!  Shaq and his brother Daniel were adopted out as kittens in 2014.  Their owner now has health issues and had to return them, along with their friend Billy.  Daniel and Shaquille are definitely bonded and want to find a home together.  They've already lost their mom, they don't want to lose each other!  If you have room in your house and heart for these besties, please come in to the rescue and meet them!  They are sweet boys.   ##1702330##

They thought I would like to be a barn kitty, but after I got used to humans and realized they were not all bad, my personality came out big time. I like being petted and love to wrap myself around your legs. I like being around my people, but I seem to be a one girl kind of kitty but will warm up more to other people with time. Think of me as the introverted, cool cat cousin who's always down to chill - just don't expect me to be all over you like a velcro kitty. I just want to exist with you. Teapot has had a short but difficult life. Her story is not for the faint of heart but man she deserves the world after all she has been through! Teapot came to us with the worst mastitis any of our vets had ever seen. Not only that, she was also pregnant. Her mastitis was so bad that they could not spay her or do any sort of surgery to help her. Unfortunately due to the infection they endured while in utero, none of her kittens made it. After a lot of one on one care, lots of vet visits, and even more love - Teapot has made a full recovery! She is such a loving cat and would love to have a loving family of her own. She is always ready for attention and love! She would do best in a house without dogs or at least in a place where she can get away from the dogs if she needs to. She would thrive better as an only cat but with time and slow introductions she may open up to one or two.
