RUE is approximately one year old and came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. Rue was terrified when she arrived and would strike out through the bars of her quarantine cage. It took us a while to win her over. She is now very affectionate with the volunteers but her new family should expect a similar decompression time. Typical to Calicos, she has a short fuse, so would not be the best match for a family with young children. Older children who understand “catitude” should be fine. Rue does not mind the small dogs who also inhabit our cat room. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/leukemia and microchipped. Adoption $75. We are helping a local TNR advocate find a home for this kitty that was trapped, neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/leukemia but is just too nice of a cat to release back out into the wild… 'I need to find a home for a stray kitty, JULIUS, that i took in a few months ago. I thought I would end up keeping him and merging him with my other 2. However, as you all know, my cat Muffin is experiencing a health crisis, and I myself am experiencing a mental health crisis at the moment (sorry, TMI but necessary to share) and unable to care for all 3 cats properly. This sweet little guy is 2-3 years old, up to date on shots, eats well, is indoor-only, and LOVES to lay on your lap. He has been chilling in my sunroom for a few months but deserves more room and more attention that I can give. He has interacted with my two cats on occasion, and he is fine with them, just wants to play (they however do not like him, which is sad to watch). GUY & GIDGET are a bonded pair of siblings that were living in a Burned down house in Smyrna, just a couple blocks from route 13. They are under a year old and we are hoping to relocate to a country home where they will be safe from traffic, are cared for and Can help you in turn by taking care of your mouse population. Another huge concern of releasing them back into the area is what will happen when the house is torn down. Gidget would allow the person who is feeding them to pet her but both cats are overwhelmed in our cat room where they are in a quarantine cage while they get acclimated. The kitties have been spayed and neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/leukemia. $100 for the pair. We'll help acclimate them to your barn.
